View Full Details of Hatton Lea Care HomeIt was a lovely experience. It was set up beautiful. Food was lovely. Thanks again.
The staff are always welcoming and helpful. If there are any problems they do their best to resolve them as quickly as possible. This recent dine with your relative was a big success allowing you to spend quality time with your loved one. The staff keep you up to date on any concerns or incidents and treat you with respect.
I visit my aunt on a weekly basis and throughout that time the staff have constantly displayed a very high level of care, support and concern. My aunt is well looked after, always well turned out, well fed and provided with constant attention. It is also good to see the recent up-grade to the fixtures and fittings, repainting and new furniture. The staff do a difficult and demanding job always with professionalism and always aware of the importance of kindness and respect.
My gran has settled in great to Hatton Lea. We as a family are very pleased with the care given. We have a great relationship with all the staff the nurses are very attentive and caring, as are all support workers. I feel that there should be more opportunities for outings for the residents as my gran has been a resident now for over a year and has never had any days out except for a few days with as family.
I am reviewing for my wife who has now been in Belvedere Unit for approx. 8 years, in that time I have seen staff come and go over these 8 years some really good and some not so good, but this has not been detrimental to the care she has had over that time. The renovations which have been going on over the past 2 months are excellent and brighten the unit tremendously. My wife's only complaint really is that the food, especially the soup, could be a bit tastier.
Staff friendly and eager to please. Mum well looked after and settled. Family grateful to have her comfortable and happy.
I had a lovely meal with my husband for valentines day the room and table were lovely
The care home could do with more staff as they are nearly always rushed of their feet also they need the tools to do the job
Overall experience of the facility is very good. Mum is treated with dignity by very supportive staff. The activity team provide a great selection of activities suited to residents needs. The food provided is excellent. The new decor makes such a difference to the environment and the place is kept to a high standard of cleanliness residents are safe and secure.
We have had no problems. My aunt has needed to see the doctor a couple of times and this has been done really quickly.
This was an excellent idea. Made to feel so welcome, room was amazing, table was decorated beautifully. It was great having lunch with my mum, felt like old times. one of the staff members was amazing, so helpful and couldn't do enough for us. Would highly recommend to do again. 10/10 experience. First class.
I was very happy with the care at Hatton Lea Care Home for my mum. She enjoyed her time there, staff were great. I was at ease because I felt mum was looked after very well.
My sister is almost blind, has several health issues and mobility problems. She has on several occasions waited until 11 in the morning to get any breakfast, which usually means she gets what's left and cold tea. The other meals are no better. The food is to say the least, basic and not well presented and cold. The room is basic with furniture that's seen better days. Any kind of comfort is to be provided by relatives. She is a smoker and no provisions to allow her access.
Hatton Lea Care Home provide first class care for residents, rooms are always clean, interior decor is very good. Management are easy to work with and quick to address and concerns. Activities are good for residents. Overall, Hatton Lea provides excellent care.
My elderly friend was transferred there from hospital for some respite. Reception greeted me well and other nurses smiling and directed me to where my friend was. The male nurse was with my friend and was chatting and asked if he would like a bath later, then another staff member brought in breakfast. Room is lovely, clean and warm. Staff are all friendly. I was happy on leaving my friend as he was content and happy.
Review went very well, staff covered most things and were getting to know my brother and made an appointment with doctors or any medical conditions that needed attention. My brother seems very happy and has settled in well. Staff keep in touch and act on any concerns I have. I have also spoken to the manager and she is very approachable and her door is always open.
My aunt is a resident of Milnwood. The care is second to none, the staff are amazing the environment they create for the residents is essential for their needs as these residents have dementia or Alzheimer’s. The company HC One are a very poor excuse for their part in providing the essential needs. They are the ones who want to make the money and have no sense of care at all for the residents of Orbiston and Mossend. Closing these essential wards within Lanarkshire is pitiful, shame on you.
My Dad moved to Hatton Lea from hospital in August 2023 and settled in very quickly. The staff in the Mossend unit are amazing, providing the highest standard of care and despite being faced with challenging behaviours, treat the residents with respect, dignity and compassion. My Dad had a recent stay in hospital which caused him great distress. As soon as he returned to Hatton Lea, he settled immediately. Although the staff are extremely busy they always take time to listen and talk through any concerns you may have and are always willing to help. The staff have a great bond with the residents which gives such reassurance that your loved one is being well looked after. The staff are what make Hatton Lea. I am absolutely devastated at the thought of my Dad and the other residents having to leave such a tight-knit community since HC One announced their decision to close the three HBCCC units at Hatton Lea. This is undoubtedly going to have a detrimental impact on him.
My aunt has been in Milnwood for over a year now. She has settled so well, the staff in Milnwood are amazing with her. She has been in other care facilities for respite and never settled at all. She has never asked once to go home since moving into Milnwood. And now they are saying Milnwood is not fit for purpose and HC-One has cancelled the contract. Very disappointing and sad. I feel if my aunt gets moved to a new premises she will be very unsettled and agitated.
Orbison unit has only 14 patients all women. I feel my mum is safe and well cared for by all the amazing staff. Unfortunately, HC1 management has allowed the units to be run down with filthy carpets and old furniture. Nothing has been updated in years. These units have great potential if they had been looked after properly. The NHS rent them from HC1 but aren’t interested in how the units are maintained. Patients are failed by both managements who squabble over money whilst patient's homes are not maintained and are now to close due to bad management.
