View Full Details of Bon Accord Care HomeIn my experience the service and level of care given to and received by my mother is excellent. The staff are always attentive to my mothers needs, treating as an individual and letting her express herself. All staff, nursing and care, are very professional yet never lose sight of the individual in their care. When I visit they make what could be a distressing and stressful situation an enjoyable one with an endless supply of tea, biscuits and sometimes Elvis.
All staff and managers do an excellent service, have no complaints, the home has a very high standard of cleaning staff who keep it to a high standard, the kitchen staff also do a very good range of food, no complaints about level of attention.
Very welcoming on arrival. Home smells and looks very clean. Staff are very friendly, kind and helpful.
I have found the level of care at Bon Accord Care Home, both social and nursing to be exemplary in all aspects. In addition, the support given by the admin team is very good, making what would be a stressful time less so. All comments or requests that I have channelled through the care and nursing staff have been dealt within a kindly and considerate manner. The care my wife has been given at Bon Accord by all staff has made a very difficult situation bearable.
My aunt was made very welcome when she arrived. She has now been in Bon Accord Care Home for almost a year. She is happy and comfortable. She always looks clean and well-dressed and she loves all the carers. She is treated with respect and kindness. She has a bright room which looks out onto the garden. We are so grateful to all the staff here.
Bon Accord Care Home is a lovely home, the staff are very friendly and professional and treat the residents with the utmost care and respect. The care and needs of the residents is always their top priority and I trust them fully to look after my mum, who is comfortable and settled here.
Our parents moved into Bon Accord Hove in October 2018 after Dad had a fall. They had a beautiful room which was perfect for them both as Dad recovered from his fall and it was decided that they would stay, as Mum got more frail. During covid, the reassurance that we had as they were cared for throughout by a dedicated and caring team was amazing! We were very impressed with the sensible and caring way that the rules were applied by the team during the lockdowns, enabling us to 'visit' in one way or another throughout those challenging months. Mum passed away last year and the care and compassion with which she and Dad were treated was exemplary - we were able to spend Mum's last days with her and Dad. Dad has stayed there since, in the same room and is happy and content. The team there keep us well informed of anything of concern regarding Dad's health etc. Dad is now enjoying the various activities that are laid on. Overall, we are very happy with the care that Bon Accord provides.
Our dad entered Bon Accord Care Home in September 2022, eleven days before his 100th birthday. They pulled out all the stops and baked a wonderful cake for him along with putting up banners and balloons. We were allowed to spend time with him and celebrated with a glass of prosecco. Since then we have been very pleased with his care especially as he has needed medical care just recently. The carers are lovely and although their shifts are quite often on different floors, so that we don't always see the same people, they are very caring and helpful. Sometimes his socks go missing but in the bigger scheme of things that is a minor problem. The answer is to add the owner's name to everything! The welcome at the door is second to none along with the nursing care which is excellent.
I am so glad that we found Bon Accord Care Home. My mum moved into the home in March 2022 after a turbulent 12 months that saw a sharp decline in her physical and mental health caused by Huntington's Disease. She settled in extremely quickly and is so very happy here. The staff are kind, welcoming, diligent and feel like a second family to Mum. They look after all aspects of a person's health - physical, emotional and social. I spend a lot of time with Mum in the home and can see that the nursing and care staff are attentive, meals are prepared with care, the facilities are kept clean and tidy and lots of thought is put into daily activities. The management/admin team are exceptional and has been of immense support to me. When you have been caring for a loved one yourself for a long period of time, it can be very hard to entrust their care to others, but I am in no doubt that Mum is in safe hands here.
My mother was taken into Bon Accord Care Home as she has dementia, both myself and my father are very happy with all of the services and all of my mum's care needs are fully taken care of. Happy Christmas and New Year to everyone staff wise at the home.
A really nice and friendly care home. The staff are wonderful, from nursing, administration and laundry girls! My only complaint, is my partner's room on the ground floor, could be cleaner! I've seen a cleaner on several occasions, he visits the room, but does very little in the way of cleaner, plus the toilet needs to be cleaned more often!
My nan was admitted after covid and was very unwell. She is nearly 94 years old. Our family honestly thought that her days were numbered. The team, with the excellent care she received, have brought her back from the brink and she is now able to go home. Best care ever. ten out of ten.
Bon Accord has always looked after my brother with kindness, dignity and compassion. He has been here for seven and a half years and his every need has been met. When he became very ill, his greatest concern was that he should end his days in Bon Accord. The place he has had as his home for the last seven-plus years.
Mum has been extremely well looked after. The staff have kept us informed of any problems. They are all welcoming and friendly. Mum's room is comfy and cosy, with plenty of space and she has her own things around her. Mum appears to be happy and settled, as much as her condition currently allows. I would have no reservations in recommending Bon Accord.
My brother in law has been in the Bon Accord Care Home for over seven years. During this time, his care and treatment have been of the highest standard. Without exemption, staff have liaised with relatives, to ensure that any requests and concerns he might have are addressed. Rooms and all facilities are maintained to a high standard. Visitors are made welcome and I have no concerns regarding his care.
The care provided by the Bon Accord staff to my mother has been exemplary. I struggled to let anyone take over my mother's care but in reality, their care is so much better than I could ever have given. I'm sure there are many other people in my position. Please be assured that the staff are professionals who genuinely care. They managed my mother's emergency admission to hospital in January, keeping me advised throughout. They got her walking again when she came back which took a lot of persuasion. It's difficult to rate activities - hopefully, there will be more of these when Covid finally gets under control.
The care and attention my mum has received has been outstanding. The staff always go above and beyond.
Want to thank Bon Accord for looking after my father, since September 2021. Staff have been amazing and so supportive with us as a family, at the hardest time in our lives. Care of my dad's condition Alzheimer's & Dementia has been really good. The staff supporting us on a CHC Teams Meeting as well, as the process is so confusing.
My grandad has been with this care home since September. The whole team are amazing, very grateful for the person who helped us book visits. Keep doing what you all do, we appreciate it so so much, thank you. He is happy and safe.
Carers are very kind and helpful.
