View Full Details of Phoenix HouseIt was amazing! I took my grandad there and he was surrounded by multiple supporting staff under amazing management. He seriously enjoyed the activities and loves the meals that are prepared and served there.
My mum could not be in a better place! The manager and staff are all amazing! It's very reassuring when you know your loved one is being cared for and looked after! They are totally on the ball watching out for any signs of ill health! My family and I have the utmost confidence that she has the best possible care there! It's spotlessly clean and it has a warm, homely atmosphere! Would highly recommend Phoenix House!
I would highly recommend Phoenix House, the manager and her wonderful team. We can't thank them enough for the care of our lovely mum. We experienced other care homes and Phoenix House is the best by far.
My sisters and I looked at several care homes for dementia for my mother and the Phoenix was the best by far. Looking from the outside it doesn’t look too inviting, but that’s not what is important. The staff are the important ones. They were friendly and caring from the onset and continue to be so. During this difficult time of lockdown, the staff have always tried to accommodate our wishes to be able to talk and see our mother on the phone via a video call. It has given us all great comfort and we are all very grateful that they spare there valuable time to do this. My father who misses his wife of 72 years phones twice daily and they continue to give him assurance that my mum is eating, drinking and making friends with the residents, so giving him great comfort.
I have experienced a number of care homes looking after various members of my family and friends. I have learned that it is not the outward appearance of the building or the location that matters, it is what goes on inside that makes the difference. I have never seen better, or even as good, care and attention as the staff of Phoenix House give to all of their residents. I noted that at all times, the staff, as they worked around their charges, were mixing and communicating with them constantly chatting, that makes a family of residents and staff, plus the very low staff turnover so relationships are permanent. At every visit I made, usually 2 or 3 times a week for over 4 years, I was embraced by the same warmth and feeling of belonging that was given to the residents. I have no reservations in recommending this care home, the staff care, I have seen them turn up on their days off when there is a need for special attention. That is devotion to the job and the residents.
