View Full Details of Abbottswood LodgeI visit my friend who is very happy and so well looked after in Abbottswood. In my experience all the staff are very caring and pleasant and happy. Everyone is treated with dignity. The visitors are treated kindly and always offered a hot drink. When I visit, my friend and I are always given privacy to converse.
My dad has returned home to Abbottswood after an emergency admission to hospital. It was heartening to hear that Dad was pleased to be back home and be with familiar staff. Dad really seems to feel that Abbottswood is his home. Staff have kept me up to date with his health and how they are going to gradually help Dad regain his mobility and strength.
My brother has been at Abbottswood Lodge for a couple of months on a temporary basis and I couldn't be more happier for him. I have observed great improvement in the day to day living of my brother. He is more engaging and doing his exercises. He also attends day services which he would not do before and to my surprise he said he enjoys going too. The management and staff are amazing! The care given to my brother is exceptional (weekly GP rounds for example). The family is kept up to date with medical updates. We could visit my brother at anything (within reasonable of course). The environment is clean and welcoming. We are grateful to all at Abbotswood Lodge. Thank you so much!
Mum has been at Abbottswood quite a while now and as her needs have changed they have adapted their care approach to suit. It’s a complete relief knowing mum is safe and being taken care of. The manager is extremely approachable and has also been very reassuring and supportive to me.
My mum moved into Abbottswood Lodge in July 2022. As time progressed, her behaviour became even more challenging, but the care she received was second to none. She was treated with care, respect and dignity by all the staff. Sadly, she died on September 16th this year. In her final days, she was looked after amazingly, as were all the family who stayed with her. Thank you, Abbottswood Lodge; our mum could not have had better care anywhere. The manager was just brilliant.
My mum was at Abbottswood Lodge for 14 months. All of the time she was there, she received the best care we could wish for. They were caring and compassionate at all times. Mum was happy there. At the end of her life, all of the staff showed time and affection for Mum, and we cannot stress highly enough our thanks to all of them. We would not hesitate in recommending Abbottswood to anyone who is looking for a care home. We could not have made a better choice!
Very good.
My Dad stayed at Abbottswood Lodge for a year and I'm more than happy with the care he received right through to the end. Overall, it's a good home with kind and caring staff with nothing being too much trouble.
I am a regular visitor to Abbottswood Lodge Care Home to visit my mother. I am always treated with respect and the staff always make me a cup of tea too. I am impressed how clean the home is. Thank you.
Staff are always friendly! They work hard for their salary. Maybe need one or two more carers on at the same time. Overall impression is it's quite a nice place!
Abbottswood Lodge looks after the residents in very caring ways. They are all looked after very well.
Everytime I visit, my mother is in a good spirit with no complaints. The staff give me regular updates on mom's progress and well being without ever asking. All in all, we are very pleased with her care. The manager runs the lodge very well and I can not praise them enough.
The service at Abbottswood is brilliant. The manager is fantastic.
Mum has been at Abbottswood since January. She came in with several issues, all of which have been dealt with. I found the staff to be caring and kind and the manager always takes the time to discuss any issues. I also like the associated daycare centre. Mum goes on trips once a week through that. Great resource.
As always when visiting my mother, the care home staff are very welcoming and always tell me how my mother is doing.
My dad is newly living in Abbottswood Lodge Care home. He has nothing but positive things to say about the environment, the staff, the care and the food. I live in Coventry so am not able to visit him as often as I would like, but if I am not able to speak to him directly on his phone I can call the staff and they will always give me an honest informative update. He spends a lot of his time in his lovely room watching TV, this is his choice and he knows that he is welcome to join the other residents in the communal areas. Because of the distance between us, I am very reassured that Dad is living here. I know if he becomes unwell, then I will be informed and Dad will receive good care. Thank you to the manager and all the staff for your care of my dad.
Given the circumstances, I can't think of a better place. The building and facilities are fine but most importantly the staff are lovely and very competent.
Can't fault the care from the staff, friendly and compassionate.
My nan has been in this care home for almost a year now and I couldn't speak higher of them, they take such good care of her. She's made friends and always chats away when I visit. They send me photos and always have updates on her eating and moods. Always willing to help with hospital visits and any health care.
Can't fault the staff who look after my ninety-two years old mum, they really make a fuss of her, Mum is always spotlessly clean with her hair and nails done regularly. The rooms are clean and tidy with everything Mum needs. The food is excellent and Mum always seems to be starting or finishing a cuppa. Saw Mum today and she was having a sing-along with the other residents. Great.
