View Full Details of Berry Hill Park Care HomeHaving to move my husband, who is only 58, from a dementia care home to nursing home was a very difficult time for us all. Berry Hill care home made that transition the best it could have been and they have been absolutely wonderful looking after him for the last 3 months. All staff are very friendly, compassionate and caring, as well as being very professional. The food is fabulous and they make sure everyone is well catered for. They even put on a lovely birthday tea for my husband. The home is very clean and they put on some wonderful activities. I can't thank everyone at the home enough for everything! Would definitely recommend Berry Hill if you are looking for care for a loved one.
I've been in Berry Hill Park Care Home for 3 months now and I have been welcomed and cared for by all the lovely hardworking staff. Nothing is too much trouble. Everyone is fantastic from management to laundry and domestic staff. The bedroom has views overlooking the gardens and I have my own toilet and sink with bathrooms close by. The food is very good and I get to enjoy a beer, which is a plus. There are many activities and I am in gardening club. I would highly recommend Berry Hill.
Berry Hill Park Care Home is amazing. It is superbly run. All the staff are caring, hardworking and nothing is too much trouble. The food is excellent and the variety brilliant. The home is spotlessly clean with the cleaners constantly up and down the corridors, always chatting and assisting residents. The management is brilliant and are constantly keeping us in the loop of what's happening. Overall, a brilliant place to be. Thank you.
I visit my wife weekly. She has acute dementia so I have no cognisense with her. Overall, I feel the staff try to look after her which I appreciate. I also understand the difficulty in running a 24-hour business and consider that the home is run competently.
From the first time I stepped into Berry Hill Park Care home, I knew it was the right place for Dad. The staff are just so caring and I have to use the word amazing. They have his best interests at heart. He likes the food and has his own room. I cannot thank them all enough, they are all worth their weight in gold.
My Mum was admitted to Berry Hill and sadly recently passed away in the home. Throughout Mum's care, each and every member of the team strived to deliver care in a compassionate, efficient manner. For anyone looking for a caring environment for their elderly relative, I would certainly have no hesitation recommending Berry Hill as an outstanding home. The staff also took the time to speak to us as a family especially after Mum had passed away.
My husband came here from being very poorly in hospital. The staff were very welcoming, caring and friendly. In particular, I would like to mention the food. At first, he was having a pureed diet, each item was individually pureed and had lost no taste in the process. Now on a soft and bitesize diet and again it is very tasty, varied and presented well. Have to say compliments to the cooks who do a sterling job and really care. I do think there should be more staff, the lack of is particularly noticeable at the weekends. My husband had been in two other care homes on respite and I have to say they were the same so not just Berry Hill. The staff never seem to stop it is just that there is not enough of them. If they are doing personal care they can't just respond to other requests. On balance, my family and I are very happy with the care and support from all the staff. They certainly earn every penny doing a job that at times is very difficult. It is much appreciated.
I support the staff working here as the company provides a minimum of people to do a difficult job. The company needs to address staffing levels and be a little less profit-making rather than care-delivering. I do find it inexcusable that medication patches are left on a patient for a number of days rather than a daily swap. This causes the patient to have a red and sore rash that needs treating. There is no apology for poor care of this type, I consider it negligence.
My mum has been treated with dignity and respect. All staff are very pleasant and nothing too much trouble. They have been fantastic with me as well as Mum. My mum has been happy coming to this home. I would highly recommend. The meals are excellent.
On my mum’s first day experience in a care home, the staff, without exception, couldn’t have made Mum and her family more welcome. Early days for sure but Mum loves her room, has already met some lovely residents and the staff have been so kind to ensure she has a lovely first day. Thank you.
I have visited on numerous times and all the staff are very caring and friendly but came to the summer fete and didn’t find it very well organised and the weather obviously didn’t help, the singer was nowhere as good as the gentleman they had entertaining for the pride party, you couldn’t hear her, the pride party was so much better. Also, I didn’t think there was enough seating outside or many flowers to look at after struggling to get my mum and auntie outside to have some fresh air.
Excellent home, absolutely spotlessly clean. Fantastic staff, very caring and compassionate, could not ask for better care for my grandad. Nothing is ever too much trouble, and the staff really take the time to get to know the residents and cater for all their needs. The manager is always on hand and you really get a sense that not only she but all her staff truly enjoy their jobs and caring for people. Cannot recommend enough.
Very clean, caring, helpful and polite at all times. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff.
I would like to say how wonderful this home and all its staff are. My father sadly passed away here in January and the staff could not have been more helpful and supportive both to my father and my family. Nothing was too much trouble and they went above and beyond to make sure my father and our family were looked after in those final days. Thank you for everything you did and how you continue to look after my mum. I have no doubt my mum is in the best care home.
I would like to thank the fantastic care my father received while he had end of life care. He was there from April until September where he sadly passed away all the staff were kind and well organised thank you very much.
My father len was only in for a short period, but the care and support he had was second to none. In his final hours, myself and my daughter were supported by an amazing member of staff. Nothing was too much trouble she tended to our dad with love care and compassion as well as making sure we were both ok. She is an absolute credit to your care home also other staff who made sure we were ok and brought us drinks and constantly asking if she could get us anything to eat. All the staff are amazing the nurse, you all are complete diamonds and you should be very proud to have them as part of your team. After my dad passed the compassion was still there they rang us at home to see if we was ok. We as a family will be forever grateful love to you all.
It was our first time we had any dealings with a care home, and I had heard good reports of this one. We were not disappointed; they were lovely to our Mum, so much so, she wants to go and see them again.
My mum has been cared for at Berry Hill for the past 16-months until she passed away there recently after a long illness. Her care there was wonderful! All the staff I came into contact with on my many visits were very kind, considerate, empathetic and genuinely cared about my mum. On many occasions, they went above and beyond what you would expect, giving her cuddles, dancing with her and taking the time to really get to know her. I would like to make a special mention to the kitchen staff who were fantastic with Mum, often spending valuable time with her whenever they could. And also the care home manager, who was always kind and very professional during some very difficult times! I would highly recommend Berry Hill to anyone considering using a nursing home for a relative!
Our mum was only in Berry Hill Park Care Home for four days due to rapidly deteriorating health, but myself and my siblings believe she received the very best care anyone could ask for. She was treated with total dignity by everyone. All the staff we came into contact with were very approachable and friendly whilst still being very professional. We are sure that the staff and the pleasant surroundings made mum's final days as comfortable as could be hoped for. Many thanks from the whole family.
Although Mum was only at the care home for four days, everyone was fantastic from her arrival until her passing. My two brothers and myself were really impressed with the home and all the staff that we met.
