View Full Details of Ash Lodge Care Home with NursingMy late brother was a resident in Ash Lodge Nursing Home last October. Although he was only there for a very short time, I cannot praise the staff enough for all the care they gave him in this final chapter of his life. They showed him such kindness and respected his dignity at all times ensuring all his needs were met. We were able to visit at any time and I cannot thank the staff enough for all the support and advice they gave us at a very distressing time.
No problems with day to day care. Very supportive staff who are thorough and maintain clients needs and dignity well. Place is always clean, log in and log out diary kept fro safety/security reasons which gives me assurance. I have had o problems but thank the staff for their ongoing support.
My beloved friend was at Ash Lodge for 10 months . He sadly passed away in February . He came into care after being very poorly in hospital and not being well enough to go back home . I had one wish that he could be placed in a nursing home where he would receive good care and Ash Lodge fulfilled this wish . Leaving your beloved home is difficult for anyone but Ash Lodge made this easier for him. He was welcomed warmlyI. visited him regularly and observed the staff to be kind and caring to him . They treated him with dignity and respect. They were welcoming to visitors as well as approachable if we had any concerns . It's the little touches like the receptionist fetching his paper everyday that made such a difference to him . They made a difficult situation easier . His room and the other areas of the home were always spotless and smelt clean. I shall always be grateful that we picked this home for our dear friend and would definitely recommend it to others .
We are very happy with all aspects of Ash Lodge. my mother feels safe & secure and we as a family are grateful that she is cared for and well looked after. Thank you.
On our first visit to Ash Lodge we were told that residents would be loved. It is our experience that in our final month with you this was demonstrated over and over again by all staff, for this we are truly grateful.
My cousin was transferred from hospital to A.L in June 2024. This was done very quickly & I was apprehensive that it may not be appropriate but my husband & I did an impromptu visit - no appointment, no notice but the staff on duty were welcoming & answered all of our questions. Cleanliness is outstanding. To date the care has been excellent, the staff are always on hand & professional. There has been an ongoing issue with food as my cousin is coeliac but word with the manager & within 20 minutes problem solved. As a visitor I am always made welcome.
Overall the home and staff are very caring and obliging to needs and are always helpful where possible. Daytime staff are exceptional. Nighttime staff are poor & only do the bare minimum. Food is poor & random and we choose to buy our own. It would be ideal if staff wore name badges.
All the family was happy with the care they gave my mother over the time which she was in the home. The home is well staffed with caring nurses & the facilities are excellent.
Very caring staff. Well organised. Make people feel welcome Put the residents first Good listeners.
As a regular visitor to the resident my experience of the facilities and care provided at Ash Lodge are excellent overall. The facilities are of an excellent quality and well maintained. The care and nursing provided along with the interaction with visitors is excellent.
I visit my friend every Tuesday afternoon. She is very well cared for. The whole place is very clean & always smells lovely. All of my friends physical needs are met. There is often a social event that my friend can join in. All the staff are very friendly, professional and a credit to their profession, taking care of all residents and going the extra mile to make sure the residents are cared for and happy. There are plenty of staff on duty & my friend & I can always speak to someone if we need to.
My father was 94 when he moved to Ash lodge and had a whole array of medical problems, that would have presented a challenge to anyone looking after him, but he was always shown great care and treated with respect and dignity and I observed this first hand as I was a frequent visitor. The hygiene standards are excellent and all the staff were always so kind, and helpful if I had a query or problem concerning my dad. I am so grateful he spent his final year in the care of the staff at Ash Lodge and have no hesitation in recommending the Home to anyone who is looking to place their loved one in a home where they will be looked after and well cared for.
Our friend has been at Ash Lodge for three years. He's happy there, well looked after. It's an impressive place. Every time we visit we are moved by the kindness and friendliness of the staff and the thoroughly competent way issues are dealt with. Usually, all the doors of the rooms are open and we can see and smile at the other residents as walk down the corridor. Our friend told us that one of his carers wanted him to write her a poem. This is what he wrote - 'Oh carer, our caring angel, Here in Ash Lodge, our home, Your grateful charges thank you for all the love you've shown'.
What a lovely home this is. Staff are always friendly and welcoming. They are always cleaning and making the whole place homely. Mom's room is lovely and full of her memories. I'm so grateful to them all for caring for Mom, it is such a relief to know she's being looked after.
I am happy with the standard of care my daughter receives. The staff are friendly and have provided a high standard of care. Any concerns I have raised have been dealt with promptly.
I visit my friend on a regular basis and I always find staff extremely helpful, professional and competent. My friend only has good things to say about her care and well-being.
My mom was admitted to Ash Lodge Care Home in April 2023 following a fall at home, suffering a head injury. After months in the hospital no improvement in her mobility and showing no signs in her capacity to self-care (whereas she was always independent) the decision was made for her to be referred to Ash Lodge Care Home. To mine and my brother's surprise, our mom was in the best care environment for her needs. The staff and management are the best team, caring, friendly, compassionate, helpful and kind bunch of people I have ever met. Knowing I can sleep at night, knowing my mom is in safe hands and being cared for by this amazing team is beyond compassion for human life and their caring dedicated nature. I will be forever grateful to Ash Lodge team for making my mom's stay with them feeling loved and cared for in her final years.
Dad was transferred to Ash Lodge from hospital. The care and understanding of Dad’s needs are amazing. All the staff do their best to make him comfortable and his needs catered for. We weren’t prepared for this step for Dad, however more than happy so far with Dad's care, he has now been with them for four weeks.
Although my mom was only in Ash Lodge Care Home with Nursing for a very short time before she passed away, the staff treated her with the care and respect she deserved. The staff went above and beyond looking after my mom. I just wish they got to know Mom as they would have loved her and I know she would have loved them. After my mom passed away they treated her with the upmost dignity also advising me of exactly what to do and how to go about it. I would recommend Ash Lodge in a heartbeat if anyone was looking for a safe, caring and loving home for their loved one.
After viewing quite a few care homes as soon as I walked into Ash Lodge Care Home with Nursing it felt like the right place for my dad. My dad spent the last 6 weeks of his life in Ash Lodge and couldn’t have received better care.
