My dad has been living here for 7 months plus. It was a place I didn't
want him to go to but I couldn't ask for a better place for him to live.
I can sleep at night knowing he is safe and has carers 24/7 to look
after him. He has his own room which we, my sister and myself, have
worked hard on to make it feel as home-like as possible. On the 29th of
May, he went to his room for a nap. The staff went to check on him and
found him on the floor. They checked him over phoned my sister and told
her what had happened, and said they were waiting for an ambulance to
take him to hospital. They had printed off all his history so the
ambulance crew had a list of all medications etc. He was in hospital
overnight. My sister took him back and said as soon as they pulled up
into the car park he was so happy to be there. He was at home and was
so happy to see all the staff, well all his family (to him - that's what
they are, family). It makes me happy to know he is where he is and happy.
