View Full Details of Okeley Care HomeEverytime we visit, it feels like coming home The staff is very welcoming, always providing feedback on how mum is doing. It is wonderful to know that our mum is with professionals who are caring and affectionate.
All staff treat my mother with compassion and dignity. They go above and beyond in their duties. My mother is very happy and well cared for. Her room is airy and clean. We are able to personalise her room. We have also observed how they treat all the residents and all interactions are very positive. There are always lots of activities to suit any needs. The home gives the feel of a big family environment as opposed to a buisness facility
Provides wonderful care for my mum. Very clean Staff are brilliant.
Lovely care home, staff are very helpful and look after my nan very well.
Since my mum has gone to Okeley Care home my mum has come alive again. My mum is very happy all the staff are very hourly with mum and are very kind. I'm so happy Mum is happy. Thank you all so very much.
Mum seems happy in the care home. She remains chatty and likes to see what is going on in the lounge and dining room at mealtimes. 12 months on from a hospital admission she is almost back to how she was, except for ageing physically and becoming less clear in what she is talking about (she does have Alzheimer's and is 92). The staff, all staff, treat her with dignity and humour. They keep smiling and acknowledge her requests. We know this is the right care home for Mum, now more than ever after 3 years.
Mum says the staff work hard to care for her. The food is good but not exceptional. The staff are kind and helpful when needed, although she likes to be independent as much as possible. The rooms are modern and pleasant.
Mum has been here for 10 months and the home and carers have made her very comfortable. She loves the carers, food and mentions how clean it is. We have regular updates all the time. We would highly recommend the care home.
I am extremly happy with the high level of care and concern my husband receives at Okeley. He is treated with dignity and respect by efficient, kind and caring staff. Attention to his individual needs is always carried out compassionately and thoughtfully. I'm grateful that outstanding care is shown with patience and understanding.
Extremely welcoming to the visitors, residents are all well looked after and there are lots of activities, all the year around. Staff are really friendly, and very helpfull
From reception right to care and recreation excellent detail given for patients and visitors. Nothing is to much trouble.
Since Mum arrived in December 2024, she has been well looked after.
Really good home. Great activities and food seems good.
Lovely care home the staff are very kind and my mum seems on the whole very happy here. Her room is very comfortable and always kept very clean.
My mother has been a happy resident for the past 6 months; her room is pleasant, with enough storage and privacy. There are plenty of activities and events taking place in the care home, but I wish the carers would utilise more encouragement to persuade my mother to join in activities and shows. I recognise deprivation of liberties, but a little encouragement may help. There is plenty of food given, but the quality is poor, a lot of packet food, eg. breaded chicken, fish, oven chips. It would be healthier to have more freshly prepared food. The fee to reside here should enable higher quality of food. I've witnessed my mother being pulled up the bed several times without the use of a slide sheet, which goes against moving and handling guidelines. Things have also gone missing from my mother's room, never to reappear. Frequently, the call bell is left out of her reach. The carers are polite, kind and caring, but the ratio to residents is low. The internet is insufficient to support a smart TV.
Excellent care from the start. Home is fulled with a lot of love. Staff always listen and do all they can for my Nan. They have also welcomed my grandad with open arms who visits everyday, who has found this transition hard.
I visit a family friend. From a great reception through to the carers on the floor is fabulous. The food I have seen looks great and the activities that are organised are really fantastic and varied. Truly a wonderful atmosphere and the residents are really cared for. A pleasure to visit!
I stayed here for eleven nights after leaving hospital. I was very comfortable and the staff service was excellent in particular the medication man.
On my first visit to see my friend all the staff I met had a smile and were friendly and helpful. The lady on reception gave exemplary assistance and exceeded my expectations.
I visited my sister-in-law from Bristol whenever visiting my brother. She was always well cared for. The home was very welcoming and the staff very kind. The home was always very clean which was a bonus as I am aware it's not always about how the home 'looks' but how the residents are cared for. My sister-in-law was well cared for, kept safe and happy. I have now retired from Nursing and would have no hesitation in being a resident myself or recommending loved ones. Thank you to all staff at Okeley for treating my sister-in-law with dignity and respect. Also for supporting my brother on his visits.
