View Full Details of ClaybourneClaybourne is an outstanding home, the person- centred care is very obvious. The staff are approachable and listen to your comments and wishes. The home has an inclusive, community feel. Standards from furnishings to food are high, it is spotless and well maintained. There are many enriching activities on offer , from fellowship services, armchair exercises, music therapy. The activities coordinator is full of ideas for varied and interesting things for all to join in. My dad recently celebrated a milestone birthday,we were given a room for family to spend the day with him and the home provided a fantastic buffet. The staff all genuinely care about the residents well being and have become like extended family, nothing is too much trouble, they all have such a positive attitude. It's an excellent, well managed, well staffed home from home, it's a big step to entrust your loved ones into residential care but it's been a great decision. I cannot thank the manager and her team enough.
A high standard of care for residents is being maintained at Claybourne, with relatives being informed and kept up to date with any issues or illnesses regarding their loved ones when this is required. Definitely one of the best care homes in the area.
Amazing care for the residents by all of the staff. I've found that the staff are very friendly and polite. The whole building is very clean and tidy, and well maintained. The gardens are well kept. The meals are of good quality, varied and nutritious. The care home is very well managed. Good regular activities are provided which suit the residents.
Excellent home, with excellent friendly and caring staff, who are always happy to help and answer any questions we may have. You are treated like one of the family. I worked in a nursing home for 13 years, and qualified in dementia, this is by far a better home, higher standards and a place I know my mum is happy, safe and well looked after.
A fantastic home, very welcoming. The staff are amazing and take time to get to know each resident individually, nothing is too much trouble. They all genuinely care for the residents and form great relationships with them. There are always varied activities to take part in such as chair Zumba and singing. The gardens were a bonus as my mum loved to potter in her well kept garden. The garden at Claybourne is so special and attracts much wildlife too. The residents are able to make their own choices where to explore in a safe environment from several avenues each with their own lounge where they can stop off for a cup of tea along the way and are made to feel welcome. I am truly grateful for all the help and support and would not hesitate to recommend Claybourne.
My mum is so settled and happy here. I visit every week and it's nice to see mum happy and looking well and the staff are always laughing with mum. The staff will also tell me any activities mum has done in the week and the Christmas family afternoon with the singer was lovely. Well done to all the staff including the kitchen staff for providing the buffet was a lovely afternoon.
Claybourne has been home to my mother for eight years. She has bonded with members of staff. She also receives music therapy which has made a difference. I am made welcome when I visit. Mum's needs are met and she is treated with care and empathy.
As soon as you walk through the door, there is the sound of music giving a very calming atmosphere or sometimes a lively atmosphere to join in with the songs being played. The staff are all lovely and caring, they have got to know my husband over the three months he has been attending on 2 days a week. They understand his foibles and are able to cajole him along. My husband enjoys joining in with the activities particularly the music and dancing. He also loves the freedom and space where he can wander around the various areas within the building. I'm sure he will enjoy the extra space outside when the weather gets better. I feel very relaxed taking him to Claybourne and he is always eager to get out of bed if he knows that's where he is going for the day. He likes the food on offer and will eat more variety there than he does at home. I really can't praise the accommodation and staff enough.
It is a huge relief for us to know that mum is safe and well cared for at Claybourne. The staff are always so patient, understanding and caring and the manager is excellent. Although mum is unable to walk around the grounds, she loves to see the beautiful garden and trees. The Fellowship and Sunday services are also very important to her and there are other activities available to join in too. There is a good and varied selection of meals on offer.
The home had a festive feel all Christmas with activities everyday. The staff all went out of their way to ensure that all the residents had a fabulous time. The food was amazing and my mum very much appreciated everyone's efforts, mum especially enjoyed the church services and hymn singing and she was really grateful to be taken out Christmas shopping. One staff member in particular even helped mum wrap her presents and wrote the gift tags. I looked at many care homes for mum before I found Claybourne and none came anywhere near to providing the care and support that this home gives. Thank you.
Mum has been a resident for 18 months. Having viewed many homes, this was the only one we were confident would be right for mum. It is a warm family environment - the staff are very caring and confident with the residents. Dementia is a cruel affliction and the residents couldn't be looked after better. By having visiting doctors rounds, dentist visits and chiropody the residents are able to be looked after without having to go into unfamiliar surgeries etc which can be frightening. Always kept updated with reference to health issues and the manager is very proactive not hidden away in an office like many establishments. Fully recommend.
Mum has stayed at Claybourne for 3 weeks respite, along with her dog. The staff are all lovely and caring, the place is spotless and the food fantastic. Various daily activities to keep the mind and body active as well as well maintained grounds to enjoy. Mum has really enjoyed her stay.
The staff are always loving and caring towards my mum, and this means a lot to me as my mum cannot speak due to a stroke, but they always manager to communicate with her. Also, the home manager and all the management team are always there to help me, whether it's words of encouragement or anything else I need for my mum, not forgetting the cooks in the kitchen who will prepare anything my mum wants, and the cleaning team who do her laundry and keep her room nice.
Usually visit residents once a week and am always impressed with the state of the rooms, also the loving attitude of the staff towards the residents, the management is usually available if there is a problem. I know that our friend although 97 years old is happy and contented and never has a negative word to say about anything. My wife and I have visited our friend from the time she arrived at the home and we can tell how well she is being looked after.
Been visiting a resident usually on a twice-weekly basis for 7 years never had problems entering the building always been impressed by the staff and management their approachability and their care for the residents. Also the cleanliness of the dining room, the reception area, and our friend's bedroom. All the needs ie food always an alternative available, medication administered, and various forms of entertainment available. Weather permitting the grounds are kept in good condition so that residents are able to walk around or sit in them. I have always been impressed with everything on my visits and have recommended the home to other people.
Mum has been a resident for 1 and a half years and now calls it her home. The care and compassion shown on a daily basis by all staff are exceptional, with all residents. Relations are kept fully informed about the well-being of their loved ones and concerns are listened to. Meals are varied and snacks are available 24/7. The freedom to roam safely is wonderful. The home provides purpose and pleasure to those who are residents. 100% satisfied.
My Mother has lived at Claybourne for 6 years and has always been cared for with the greatest respect and loving care. She has loved the garden, the Christian ethos, the activities, and the friendships with other residents. Relatives are always informed in a timely manner of any health-related issues. I would have no hesitation in recommending Claybourne.
Excellent care home, they do everything possible to make sure my great-grandmother is looked after and cared for, their attention to detail is next to none and the onsite amenities make the home great.
Simply outstanding! These are the words I would use to describe Claybourne. My dad has been a resident for just over 3 months and every day says that he says he feels like 'he's in heaven - but hasn't died!' The team of support around him is quite simply phenomenal! They are so kind to him (and all the other residents); they care of his physical and mental well-being. Every day varied activities are provided for residents to take part in if they wish. The food is top, top quality and Dad feels like he's living in 5-star luxury! The change in him since he's been at Claybourne is astonishing. Needless to say, my family are extremely happy with the care provided and would highly recommend this care provider.
Mum has been a resident at Claybourne for over a year now. She is well looked after and has a good relationship with the hardworking staff. The freedom for the residents to venture outside, around the garden, (when this lovely British weather allows!) is a real bonus. The food is lovely. Activities are varied and fun. Our family are happy that Mum's needs are being met, that she is safe, and cared for, and that we are welcomed with a smile when we visit.
