View Full Details of Wingates Residential HomeMy cousin is a resident at Wingate's care home . The care home is very well run, very clean and always a warm welcome from staff when I visit. I would definitely recommend this care home. Nothing seems to be too much trouble.
Betty entered Wingates residential care home in December. She is very happy, secure and active, she thinks the staff are wonderful. The home is warm and friendly and she gets on well with the other guests
My husband moved to Wingates Residential Home in January, this year. What a wonderful home from home. Everyone in the team is professional, helpful, friendly and very caring, I couldn't have wished for a better place, and have peace of mind knowing that he's being looked after. The team treat everyone in a caring and respectful way, they are all Angels and I can't praise them enough. Thank you to everyone, for making this very difficult transition bearable, it means the world to us both.
My Mother was a resident at Wingates for just under three years. I thank everyone for the care and love that they gave her. She was always treated with respect and dignity as her Dementia and mobility worsened. The staff, whatever their role, are highly professional and seem like a family. The premises are immaculately clean and totally accessible. Her medical needs were always looked after and the home kept us informed of any issues. As visitors, we always felt very welcome. Despite being some distance from her family we have never had any thoughts of moving her as there is no way that we could find anywhere else comparable to Wingates.
Mum was a resident at Wingates Residential Home for a relatively short time, she was adamant she didn't want to go into a care home but after a few days she started to refer to WRH as her 'other home'. Mum passed recently and we cannot thank WRH enough for making her last few weeks safe, comfortable and very dignified. At the end, all the staff went out of their way to help us spend time with Mum and nothing was too much trouble for them. All in all, WRH will be a lovely memory of a difficult time.
My dad was a resident of Wingates care home for only six weeks. He recently passed. The love care respect he received and us as a family were excellent. Nothing too much trouble. A very homely environment. Where he was included well. We as a family were listened to and all we requested were received with sincere respect. Much gratitude.
From the moment our Mum moved into Wingates she was made to feel very welcome, and we always found her to be very happy and well cared for. She had a lovely room and everywhere was very fresh and clean. She was always well turned out and the food was excellent. There was a good program of events and activities. Mum was really happy and settled - the staff couldn't do enough and all residents seemed happy when we visited. Any medical issues were always dealt with efficiently and the family were always kept informed. Earlier this month our Mum passed away having lived the last months of her life at Wingates. My sister and I were able to be with her for most of her last few days as she slipped peacefully away. The staff treated us all with kindness and respect. We are grateful to have found her such a wonderful environment in which to live out the last of her days. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Wingates to anyone looking for an excellent residential home for their loved one.
My aunt has been a resident of Wingates Residential Home for over 2 years and during that time the staff have always been so kind to her and have looked after her so well. The staff work so hard and are always cheerful and helpful to both residents and visitors alike. My aunt is made to feel a valued member of the family in the home and without doubt, Wingates is a very special place.
My wife was very well looked after by the care home and the facilities were of a very high standard. The home and rooms were always kept clean and tidy. Residents are always kept clean and supported to a very high level of care. Loved ones are given a very high priority when medical problems inevitably occur and you are kept fully in the picture. The impression I gained was that my wife was being very well looked after by the care home and she was in safe hands.
My experience is of a very caring home, rooms are cleaned every day, some have en-suite facilities, residents are in clean clothing every day and food is cooked on premises where there are good smells emanating from the kitchen. All the staff are very caring from the cleaners up to the senior care staff, nothing is too much trouble. They arrange activities from karaoke, exercises, craft making film nights and some residents went out for meals occasionally. I would not hesitate in recommending this residential home.
I searched a lot of care homes before I found Wingates and it is the best thing I have ever done. Mum is extremely happy here and I couldn't be more thankful. The carers and staff are so caring and wonderful with the residents, I can't praise them enough. As a nurse, I have visited many residential homes but I have never been to a home where the atmosphere is so calm and happy. Thank you so much for your support and care for both me and mum, you are all truly wonderful.
Both my mother and father have been in this care home and I can't rate it highly enough. All the staff are very friendly and caring, you can see how passionate they are about what they do and it shows. They treat my mother and father with dignity and respect, and they always know how to cheer them up if they are ever having a down day. My father is always well dressed and comfy, and content with his surroundings. The staff can't do enough for the residents, always trying to brighten their day, make them laugh or smile. If there are any issues with my father I am always contacted straight away and kept up to date. Wingates is a very clean, warm friendly place and my mother and father speak very highly of it. They always arrange lots of activities for the residents and like to get them involved, from fancy dress to having a sing and a dance. I have complete peace of mind knowing my mother and now my father are at Wingates and are safe and well. Fantastic care home.
The staff at Wingates have looked after my mother-in-law for the last 14 months through a very difficult time with coronavirus. They have done their utmost to make her happy and keep them safe. The staff are fantastic, there isn’t any member of staff that she doesn’t like! They are very caring and thoughtful and doing a fantastic job in such difficult times.
Mum became a resident at Wingates Residential Home in September last year and she has settled in very well and speaks very highly about the care she receives and the staff who look after her. Myself and the rest of my family are confident that she is getting the best care she can and we are treated well and kept informed of any changes in Mum's health and the situation around Covid.
Both our parents are in Wingates Residential care home. My Dad, since December 2014 and my Mum, from March 2019. Given that it was the hardest decision we have ever had to make, we are happy that our parents are well looked after at Wingates. The staff have been great, especially during difficult times. Wingates have been so good at supporting both our family and Mum and Dad. We wouldn't want them to be anywhere else. Thank you Wingates.
Not only does Wingates Residential Home have an excellent management team, but they also have some of the loveliest and kindest care staff. I currently can only see my husband through a window and due to his condition, it is very hard to hear or understand him via our mobile phones but I treasure each visit and the staff are thoughtful and make my visits happy occasions. If I telephone with a query or request it is always dealt with and they don't make me feel uncomfortable, no matter how trivial a matter I am calling about. It is a very heart-wrenching decision for a loved one to go into care, but I am so glad that Wingates Residential Home had a place for my lovely husband. Thank you all.
My mother was a resident for two years until she passed away in January at the home. The home is clean and fresh and modern. The staff are all caring and friendly. The chef is great and looked after Mum's special dietary needs. When Mum was at the end of her life, all the staff were caring and helpful, guiding us and really looking after us at a difficult time. The manager of the home has really looked after the residents and relatives through the most difficult of times. I hope they know that Mum was happy there and they do a great job, that is appreciated.
Cannot fault Wingates in any way. Staff are friendly and kind and do all they can to help in this difficult time, they really are amazing. The management team are hands-on and again, nothing is too much trouble.
My father has been a resident since October 2020. The care he has received has been excellent. The staff are like one big family and all residents are treated with the utmost care and respect. These are very trying times and they have all gone above and beyond for the residents. My father is happy and settled and this is down to the efforts of the manager and her amazing staff. I cannot thank you all enough.
Overall, I was happy with the level of care my Dad received in the short time he was there before he passed away. As Dad was only a resident in the home for 5-weeks, it is a little difficult to be more specific, but I have little complaint.
