View Full Details of Victory Care Home(Well done to all the staff for their compassion.) My Mum has been in care since Jan 24. She can be challenging at times and was unhappy when first went in. She is very happy now. She had a fall in Dec 24 and broke her elbow, they called an ambulance, which they were advised could be up to 6 hours, they called me but I was unable to come straight away as I was about 2 hours away, the staff kept her safe and comfortable until I was able to take her to A&E.
My grandad has been a resident at Victory for three weeks and the positive change in his mental health and wellbeing has been exponential. He feels safe and cared for and I am secure in the fact he is receiving quality care. The staff have been supportive and what could have been a stressful transition has in fact been surprisingly easy. I am grateful to all staff and residents who have made this more a pleasure for my grandad.
Very helpful staff and management team. Always happy to help. Very pleasant rooms and Mum has put on weight since arriving so plenty of food. Activities lady tries a variety of games and theme days to keep the residents occupied. External visitors always welcome.
Our visits are always pleasant experiences. The staff are helpful and friendly. There is a pleasant atmosphere in the place.
We are both very happy here at the home.
I am pleasantly surprised by how well the home is run in comparison to many local private homes, offering many activities where everyone can join in at some point. I'm amazed how many my mum has taken part in - well done! All staff are very approachable, taking an interest in my concerns. It's nice to see well-chosen carers who can show so much love under such a challenging job. Well done to all the cleaning staff for keeping the home clean.
My friend has been at Victory Care Home now for several years. Throughout all that time, I found the staff friendly, professional and caring. Not that I need a care home currently but if I did Victory would be a good place to live.
Lovely care home. My father has settled in and his care is first-class. All carers are experienced, friendly and efficient. Nothing is too much trouble. Always welcoming which puts my mind at rest. Lovely and caring management and friendly. Thank you all.
A beautiful care home, everyone who works there from management, office personnel, team leaders and carers are kind, helpful and always professional. A super team. Mum has lived there since 2019 and is very happy, I cannot speak more highly of them - very special people. On visiting for the first time, my cousins commented - what a lovely atmosphere the home has and the carers are very attentive to the residents at all times and they were happy that auntie lives there.
My husband was recently admitted to Victory Care Home. I have been treated very kindly and this has been a very sad time for me, but everyone here is very positive and the home is very nice. The staff are all friendly and helpful.
Moved my dad into Victory Care Home, following a not so good experience at a smaller care home. The staff are so caring and patient with their guests. From the top down. A very happy environment with a lovely atmosphere. Ten out of ten.
Dad was transferred from hospital to Nelson Court Assessment Unit at Victory Care Home and has now moved into Victory. The staff are all lovely, he settled in so well, he is a bit overwhelmed again at the moment having just moved over into Victory, but hopefully, this passes soon. I was concerned about him moving into full-time care, but he feels safe and cared for there, which is what matters to us. Staff have been really accommodating, are very approachable and have kept me informed.
Heartbreaking, when a loved one has to go into care, you worry so much. When mum first went in, she kept saying "get me out of here". After a few months, she settled in. I can honestly say the manager and her staff are amazing, mum loved them all. Mum sadly passed away this week and I want to say a big thank you to them all for the love and care they gave to Mum.
Pleased with the care Mum is getting. The staff are all very friendly. The only gripe is personal items going missing and when Mum moved in, we didn’t have any communication from anyone regarding what they do etc.
My husband was transferred from hospital to the Assessment unit at Victory Care Home. He has been treated with dignity, kindness and the utmost respect, despite displaying challenging/aggressive behaviour due to acute delirium with a background of Alzheimer's. The team of amazing carers, who go above and beyond to help the residents feel safe and settled in their care, have also been there for me throughout. I would not have been able to cope without their constant support.
My mother was an emergency placement in late 2020. I had reservations about Mum going into a home, especially during the pandemic, but it had become unsafe for her, due to Alzheimer's and dementia, and she needed 24-hour care. Victory Care staff have been very helpful and reassuring, nothing is too much trouble in trying to have regular contact with Mum, whatever the covid restrictions allowed. They have worked tirelessly, completing activities with residents whilst visiting restrictions apply. I know Mum is safe and well looked after. I am able to visit her now once I have completed a covid swab and using PPE, without standing at a window. It's been a difficult time for Mum, made easier for her and myself, by the care and reassurance given by the staff.
Both myself and my Dad met with the carehome manager to discuss whether they were able to give the care my Dad would need. Then we discuss what room he would like as he had a choice. I have to say the home is value for money. All the staff I have had contact with have been helpful, polite and genuinely care. I'm happy to say my Dad has been at the home since June and seems to be very happy. The home has been coping very well with the Covid 19 pandemic. They have been keeping me informed of the new system now in place to visit and if there have been any positive cases as all staff and residents are tested regularly and of course general health and wellbeing. I would like to thank all the staff for their hard work in difficult times.
Excellent care, very clean, relaxed environment. Mum has dementia but has been settled here for a couple of years now. Staff very helpful and understanding and go beyond their basic role. No causes for concern at all.
My mother has been at Victory for a month and although she is unhappy at needing care, she always seems content and engaged when I see her with carers and residents. She says that everyone is very kind and friendly to her. Her room is a good size and has a pleasant outlook. The staff at every level combine efficiency and professionalism with welcoming warmth and friendliness and every question I have asked has been immediately and comprehensively answered. I received great communication and help in moving my mother there from hospital. Victory richly deserves its good reviews and reputation.
My mum has been in the home about 3 weeks. Staff are very nice. Hard to judge as we're only allowed in the garden to see Mum.
