View Full Details of Rowanweald Residential and Nursing HomeVery pleasant helpful staff. Rooms nice and tidy, mother was comfortable resting when I arrived. Quiet and peaceful for the residents.
My Dad has been at Rowanweald for 18 months now and from day one has been treated with the best care possible. The staff proactively look into his health and well-being and are all fond of him and kind to him. My Nan has just today moved into the home today and has been reunited with her son, a dream come true! With the help of The Manager and the other staff, it was hassle-free and they couldn't have been any more helpful and kind to us. The manager is fantastic and has made things feel less of a stress when things really were stressful, always calm and collected. My Nan has been in 2 Care homes prior to this and my Dad's 1 other home, this is one trumps them all and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone thinking of or having to bring a loved one into care. I honestly don't have a bad word to say about this place.
Rowanweald Care Home has been a blessing for my father and our family. Care provided by staff is exceptional. They are incredibly attentive and supportive, ensuring my father's needs are met with utmost dedication and compassion. The nurses at Rowanweald are very good, providing good care with genuine kindness. I couldn't be more grateful for the peace of mind knowing that my father is in such capable and caring hands. Management is very supportive - no problem is too big for them.
Rowanweald Care Home provided excellent care for my Mother-in-law. The staff’s dedication and professionalism ensured her well-being and comfort throughout her stay. She especially enjoyed the engaging activities offered. Highly recommended for exceptional care.
The facility is excellent, clean and well-appointed. All the staff are friendly, helpful, cheerful and caring. My mother is pretty unresponsive, staff keep her clean and comfortable.
From the moment my mother arrived at Rowanweald everyone has done their best to ensure she is comfortable, well cared for and her individual needs are met. The warm welcome, the clean room, prompt return of spotless laundry, and suitable and tasty food are provided each and every day. On the rare occasion where an issue has arisen, it has been responded to promptly in a positive manner with a satisfactory resolution. Such care can only result from excellent management of a cohesive team where every individual is working to not only to fulfil their individual role but to support other teams. We are immensely fortunate to find a place where our mother can be cared for in such a homely, loving way with dignity and feel no amount of money could buy better care. Well done to the team at Rowanweald.
We are very satisfied with the care my wife is receiving. My wife has problems with food but this is not the fault of the home.
My mother was admitted to Rowanweald just before Christmas 2023. Before arrival the team was very helpful in completing the assessment required and showing my brother and I around. On the day of admission, Mother was received efficiently and with great care by everyone in the home. She has been well looked after some her arrival and the nurses and cares have been respectful in minimising her distresses. Thank you to all of them.
We visited my sister on Wednesday and were made to feel very welcome. The help and support during our time at Rowanweald was, once again, excellent, and the care that she is receiving from the team is of the highest quality - my husband and I left totally confident that she is in very safe hands.
Both my parents moved into Rowanweald just over a year ago. They have different needs, and the carers and staff always do their very best to make them comfortable and happy. Everyone is very friendly and approachable - management, reception, nurses and carers. Mum and Dad spend the afternoons in the lounge together. Although their dementia means they forget a lot of things, they still remember each other. I am so happy we found a very good nursing home like Rowanweald for Mum and Dad to belong to, with the added bonus that it is also close enough to make our frequent visits easy.
Visited Mum at the care home for Christmas with my disabled sister, and we had a lovely Christmas dinner and a very enjoyable time. The staff here are fantastic and treat Mum well and with respect. They are friendly and empathetic, and the care home manager is absolutely fantastic and has been a great help. The receptionists are always welcoming and friendly, and I am happy Mum has enjoyed staying at Rowanweald.
My husband, who had dementia and a range of health issues, was a resident for three months before he died, and I shall always be grateful for the excellent care he received. I have been volunteering one day a week since December 2022, helping with a wide range of activities, serving lunch and looking after the garden. The staff are very caring; they interact very well with the residents and with each other. The residents enjoy the activities with every effort made to help and encourage them to participate. The meals are good and served in a friendly manner, and staff take account of residents' preferences wherever possible. Visitors and volunteers are made welcome, and you sense a happy and caring atmosphere when you walk in the door. I certainly look forward to my weekly visit.
My mother has been a resident in the home now for several months following my father's death. We booked Mum in for a 2 week trial but after 5 days she decided to stay permanently. Mum loves being part of the Rowanweald family. She is treated with kindness and respect by every member of staff. Before she entered the home she had lost weight and was relying on food supplements but now she enjoys every freshly cooked meal, sitting with her new friends. Mum frequently comments it's like living in a 5* hotel but with the benefits of being cared for by wonderful staff. Mum is definitely much happier and healthier than she has been for a long while.
Since I put my mum in your care home, I have never seen her so happy. She has made so many long-lasting friends here, including the staff. Her needs are looked after with amazing care and attention. I can't thank the home enough for their hard work and dedication.
My mum has been in Rowanweald for a few months now. The care from the staff is excellent. They go out of their way to make Mum feel at home and she has now settled in and seems very happy. She tells me the food is really excellent (particularly the soup!) and looks forward to her meals. The home is kept spotlessly clean and there are activities each weekday. I think, most importantly, everyone is very friendly and whenever you walk in there is a big welcome.
My father went to Rowanweald Residential and Nursing Home in December 2018 and passed away 4 years later. During his time there I can honestly say I had a very good relationship not only with the nurses and carers but also with the management team. Anyone considering moving a family member or friend to a care home should definitely pay a visit to Rowanweald. The staff at all levels were very kind and patient with me. I visited regularly and especially as his health deteriorated I saw the changes and they willingly explained what was happening to him. They were open, honest and transparent. I would recommend to anyone visiting someone in care to be involved and visit as much as possible to build up a relationship with the people looking after your loved one, see how hard they work and how willing they are to spend time explaining the changes that are occurring. I have stayed in touch, can pop by for a chat and still be just as important to them where my father spent the last 4 years of his life.
In the three months my friend has resided at Rowanweald, she has been well cared for. All staff are friendly and welcoming and have clearly made a real effort to get to know and understand her and she seems happy in their care. It is reassuring to know that my friend is safe and that staff are very aware of and supportive of her needs.
Always a very warm welcome when visiting my friend, who has now been a resident here for three months. She is well looked after and says she is happy here as well as feeling safe and secure. Her medical needs are well cared for by a very friendly and caring staff. The manager is always approachable and readily gives up her time if you have any general questions or queries.
I have peace of mind that my mother is being looked after well. Staff are professional and friendly. I am kept up to date on how my mother is and I’m informed if there are any problems. The home is clean the rooms are lovely.
The manager has been very accommodating at looking after my papa after his needs changed from residential to nursing. Gave him the special unit for his care needs. I am very happy to know that Mum will be soon joining Papa.
