What has been a very worrying and upsetting time has been made so much easier knowing Mum is well cared for and safe. The staff keep us up to date with all aspects of Mum's care, the communication is excellent. There are no negatives, just a positive experience and the care extends to the whole family's welfare. We feel very lucky to have Lomond Court look after Mum.
My mum has been a resident in the home for 7 months. In this time our family have always found the home to be warm and welcoming. The staff are always friendly, professional, attentive and caring. This has helped both Mum settle quickly and also the family know that she is well looked after. Any communication is always fast and efficient. Highly recommend.
At first, I had mixed emotions about my grandad going into a care home. However, Lomond Care Home could not have made the transition easier. My grandad could not be more looked after. The staff are so caring and friendly. I have been able to build up a relationship with them. There is always a lovely atmosphere and my grandad is always happy when I visit him.
In my opinion, Lomond Court is the best care home in the area and beyond. On this subject I do not jest Lomond Court, simply is the best.
My father is very well cared for by all staff. He is treated with dignity and respect. The home has a warm, welcoming atmosphere. My dad never looks unhappy and the staff have such a nice rapport with him and always show a lot of kindness towards all the residents. Staff communicate with me regularly and I am always kept informed about my dad. The food provided is first class. My dad is always clean and well cared for. There are lots of activities for residents and entertainment.
My dad is very well looked after at Lomond Court Care Home. The food is excellent and the staff are very friendly. My dad's mobility has improved since staying at Lomond Court. Visiting times are very flexible. The quiet room and sensory room are very calming for the residents.
My mum came to the home in January 2024. This was a very hard decision for my dad, they have been together for 65 years and it took him a long time to come to this point. From the moment Mum arrived they have done everything to support Mum and also Dad through this huge change in their lives as Mum slowly deteriorates in health due to her dementia. They are always welcoming to all the family, answering questions, trying to make everything as we want it for Mum and doing all they can to engage her and those staying at Lomond Court in fun and engaging activities. The carers are lovely, the manager is always approachable and understanding and a year on, we feel so lucky that there was a place for Mum here. Thank you to all the staff for all you do for our family.
From management to carers, cleaners, chefs, and activities coordinators everyone does an amazing job and goes that 1 step above to help or reassure you with any issues. The home is spotless and clean and also has a lovely garden for residents to use on a nice day. The social part with singers, school kids party are all well organised and a fantastic buffet put on. The residents are always happy to see new faces when visiting definitely 10/10 for myself and the care my mother receives.
Fantastic care home, not only there for residents but the family support is outstanding. You are made to feel part of the family and nothing is too much bother for the staff. I would certainly recommend this care home to anyone in the future.
Could not have found a better place for my husband. First class care and can go to bed and sleep knowing he is getting looked after, with wonderful carers, he thinks he's in a hotel.
My papa has been at Lomond Court Care Home for just over 2 years and the care he has had in that time has been amazing. The care home is always very clean and the staff are always extremely welcoming and helpful when you come to visit. The care home really makes sure my papa is happy and they are always looking for ways to ensure the residents are entertained.
Lomond Court Care Home is a very caring and sympathetic home for those suffering from dementia. The staff are professional, well-trained and polite, despite the nature of their work, they remain friendly and positive. It is a relief for me, as a husband, having to leave my wife at the home after my visits, that she will be cared for with dignity. Residents are often taken out on trips to the beach, botanical gardens, etc., and singing, bowling and dinner in the garden in summer are frequent. The manager is excellent, cannot say more, thank you all!
Excellent staff and management very caring and compassionate in a very good environment and setting. Helped my mother settle into a new and strange environment. Very happy with overall care.
Prior to admission my mum was a social butterfly and spent her time out here there and everywhere. Always with special attention to her personal appearance, without failure, Saturday 9am was an appointment at the hairdressers. With the change in management a more relaxed atmosphere has been established and the staff more relaxed, friendly and most importantly consistent staffing. Mum's quality of life has improved dramatically with the use of the cafe area. Mum loves "going out" to the cafe where she gets tea and biscuits at a lovely set table. Like today it's nail day and I get to sit with Mum in a salon atmosphere, painting her nails. The best thing for Mum is hair day, where she sits under the dryer with a cuppa and biscuits. Monday was lipstick day and Mum is clutching her new lipstick. Mum says she is happy here and I can think of no greater compliment than that. I know my mum is well cared for and that gives me so much peace of mind. Keep up the good work. Implementing change is not an easy thing to do but the manager and her team have created an environment that reflects individuality, independence and personal choice. There is always something going on now, but inclusion reflects the person's choice. For my mum she is enjoying being a social butterfly again within the setting of the home. The other week Mum and I shared a Reiki session downstairs in the sensory room. That was such a wonderful experience as it reflected times we shared in the past.
Perfect place for my mother. Easy, non-restricted access. All staff and managers are perfect and professional. The food is great. The staff is always attentive. Entertainment is always on. She is in a lovely room which she likes.
Very welcoming environment. My father has settled in very well. The staff are so helpful and positive. My father is safe and well looked after which gives our family peace of mind after a very difficult period.
I am very happy with the care that my mum receives at Lomond Court. Staff are warm, supportive and kind - they show real care and attention. Everyone is helpful and friendly, and they know and understand Mum well. Mum's room is always spotless and the communal spaces are comfortable and clean, with homely touches. The home is promptly in touch with me if needed, and I am made to feel welcome when I visit.
Lomond Court were welcoming, caring and friendly to us all when Dad moved in. We were so nervous but they were kind and helped Dad to settle in. It's got a great garden which is fantastic for residents who like to get outside, the food looks great and they seem to understand that everyone is different and that's okay.
Our experience has been perfect, my dad has settled really well, has never asked to come home, is eating well, walking about and is generally happy, the staff here at Lomond Court can't do enough for you and are very polite, pleasant and always helpful; are very welcoming to everyone (including our dog which my dad loves so it's great that we ca bring her in).
The staff have made my dad feel welcome. They have treated him and my family with the utmost respect, from the cleaners, the canteen staff, maintenance, dry cleaners, clerical, nurses, carers, etc. My dad was scared when he went into a nursing home. We were scared too. But the staff at Lomond Court made it easy. Thank you, Lomond Court.
