View Full Details of Longfield Care HomeStaff are friendly, understanding and experienced. Everyone has been incredibly helpful. I saw four different care homes, but I chose Longfield for its staff.
All my mother's needs are taken care of. All staff are very caring and pleasant. Mum is very happy and content since coming to the home. The family are happy with home and staff.
My Nanny is very safe and comfortable.
Very caring staff, go beyond the call of duty.
The staff at Longfield Care Home were very welcoming and kind to my dad during 2 weeks respite care when he stayed there. They are also very professional in their various duties. I was confident that he was being well looked after whilst I was on a short break from caring for him. We would happily use Longfield Care Home again in the future if necessary. The facilities were also excellent.
My mother is a resident in this fabulous care home. She is so happy there. She is safe and well cared for. She enjoys life again. There is so much going on and it's very homely. The staff are caring, kind and motivated. Mum still loves to see her family visiting but now she is not sad when we leave. The unit is a lovely size, not too big, yet big enough to be interesting and mum has gained a new "family" there. I really can't say enough good things about it. It epitomises all that care could and should be.
Friendly, caring and down to earth staff. Very clean establishment. Great facilities. Great meals.
Watching my father slowly change and withdraw into himself was difficult to watch. Dementia was slowly stealing him bit by bit. He only wanted to stay in his bedroom at home and not connect with anyone. My elderly mum could not care for him and as an only child working full time it was difficult for me also to give him the care he needed. Longfield impressed us as a family when we visited and they just happened to have a bed in the dementia ward. The staff explained it may take a few weeks for him to settle in, he settled in right away. He is clean, tidy, well fed, 24 hour care, he is a changed man from someone who would not leave his bedroom, refused past two years to have a shower or bath, change his clothes, wear incontinence underwear to someone who is having his shower, dressed well, wearing special underwear, happy chatting to other residents, having a joke with staff and enjoying his visit from his grandsons dog Riley.. as a family we know dad is being cared for and happy.
Longfield Care Home continues to maintain its high standards. I visit four times a week and am very happy with the care and attention my mother receives. The staff (all of them) are friendly and welcoming to visitors and caring and engaging with the residents. It is a great place and I would recommend it to anyone.
The staff are friendly and helpful and the care given is very good.
My mother has been in the care home for two years. She is very well settled and considers it her home. We visit daily and are always made welcome. All the staff are caring and supportive.
My aunt is well cared for and I am able to talk to all staff members. They know my aunt so well. Dedicated - all staff. A real homely home.
A caring home where residents are treated with respect and dignity. It is without reservation that I commend the staff of Longfield Care Home.
Staff are hardworking and committed to helping all patients. Staff deal with all kinds of problems. My aunt has a large bedroom in a beautiful location. She has had a stroke and gets around the clock care from the staff. When she was well the staff and others had many activities on a daily basis. The building has very good security. The front door being on a secure basis and visitors sign a book while visiting.
Always made welcome - usually spend some time talking about the past - often triggered by story or poem content.
I am very impressed with the care provided for my mother in this care home. When you go to visit there is a warm, homely atmosphere. The staff, although always very busy, are friendly, diligent and caring. They greet you by name and if there are any requests or concerns they will do their best to sort them. The food is home-cooked, laundry is kept well up-to-date and there are a variety of activities organised for each day. I would be very happy to recommend this home to anyone needing to avail such facilities.
Since my aunt had a stroke and has now entered the final stage our life's journey. She is receiving palliative care of an exemplary standard. Prior to her stroke my aunt had an enjoyable time in Longfield and engaged fully in the range of activities offered to stimulate and inspire. A nursing home which is truly remarkable!
The previous nine months, I had very few issues, however during the past month a few issues have come up. These would be more to do with the residents health deteriorating. It took me a few weeks to broach the subject and I did so after relatives being encouraged to discuss things which thought minor may cause relatives a little dissatisfaction. When I approached the manager some of the things have been addressed. Staff issues may be down to residents personalities, generally the home is welcoming, clean, food is excellent and well presented. Laundry facility good.
My mother is very well taken care of medically, physically and emotionally. She is content and enjoys the company of other ladies and the excellent entertainment provided. I know that she is safe and well cared for is a comfort. The manager and staff are excellent in their caring of the elderly.
My sister was admitted to Longfield Care Home on October 2015. She needed 24/7 care. Longfield Care Home to me, her brother, was like heaven. Management and staff are a credit for their professional and caring practice to all the residents at Longfield Care Home. I would like to stress that management and staff are very good ambassadors for Four Seasons Health Care.
