Excellent care throughout mum's stay in Areley House 5 yrs. Friendly caring staff.
My father has lived here since April 2019 to present and is looked after extremely well! He is happy and content and the whole family feel much more at ease with our decision to put him in a care home which we did reluctantly for his own safety. This care home is very well run and employs caring staff who are there to care, not just for the money! The facilities are to a high standard and cleanliness is second to none in my view. The well being and safety of residents is paramount and this can be witnessed when visiting the home. There are lots of organised activities to keep the residents entertained. My Dad enjoys a glass of beer every evening and if I forget to take his stock in, I get a phone call to remind me without fail! Highly recommended!
I am so impressed with the quality of care provided at Areley House. In addition, it is clean and comfortable and exudes such a peaceful environment. I often have to call long distance from Canada and have been given updates of my mother in an honest and compassionate manner. Thank you for all the manager and her staff do!
The staff are excellent. This care home is clean, food is good and my uncle likes it at Areley House.
Friends and family always welcome at the home andy time of the day or night and never left feeling anything other than happy that mum was well cared for. All of the staff treated mym with respect, love and care. They all provided an excellent standard of care and compassion for which we thank them.
First class treatment at all times. Everyone involved shows genuine compassion and is more than helpful.
When my mother finally recognised that she needed help, we started looking for a care home. We believe we have found an excellent one at Areley House. From the management to the carers, cleaners, cooks, laundry staff and maintenance man, everyone seems to make an extra effort to look after the residents. It has a friendly cheerful atmosphere. Problems do occur but are dealt with quickly and sensitively. This is a very caring care home.
My husband's placement in Areley House in March 2018, due to my ill health was a life-changing moment for us both. However, the management and the team of carers, cleaners, cooks and maintenance man have made a traumatic event so much easier. There is a wonderful ambience in Areley House. There are no lines of demarcation. If there is a shortage of staff in one area, the carers step happily to fill the gap, be it in the kitchen, cleaning or laundry. This makes for a very happy atmosphere which filters through to the residents. The teams show endless patience and kindness; nothing is ever too much trouble. The team spirit is largely due to excellent management. They listen to problems and do their very best to resolve them speedily. My husband today said that not only is he content, but is happy to be at Areley House which is obviously a great relief to me. So, a big, big thank you to all from us both.
My mother passed away in August 2018 following 10 months at Areley House. The last months for Mum were very happy and she could not have been looked after better. The staff are very caring, looking after all of their resident's needs in a very professional and dignified way.
I came to visit my Grandmother on multiple occasions at Areley House. The staff are ever present and extremely caring. I really just wanted to say thank-you to the staff. I live on the other side of the world and it was a very big and emotional trip for me to make. To know that this is a true and trusting care home means everything. It can feel helpless being on the other side of the world. For hours Nanna and I would sit and listen to the piano which I had playing and looking at old photos which she had in her room. The short glimpses of clarity were worth everything to me and have really brought home just how precious our time together was. So thank you team for looking after my Nanna. You guys are absolutely fantastic.
My uncle has been a resident of Arley House for 8 months. During that time he has needed care due to suffering from Alzheimer's. The home has supported him and provided a caring environment through some challenging times. The home has also supported me to care for him, keeping me informed. The home has a homely feel and provides excellent entertainment. I would recommend the home to anyone else who needs such care.
My aunt moved into Areley House 8 months ago moving from another care home in the South. We visited Areley House before she moved, the staff could not have been more helpful or friendly providing every comfort for her. Since moving aunty has been treated with great kindness, respect and dignity. Senior management are always on top of every situation and the carers are most diligent in their care. The food is good and surroundings homely. We couldn't ask for more.
My dad came to Areley House in October 2017 and really struggled with the change from living at home to residential home. The staff and manager have supported both my dad and me throughout this difficult transition and made this difficult period in our lives the best it could be. The staff are always visible and know where my dad is at all times. Very impressive. All are caring, calm and approachable and concerns are addressed immediately. Thank you all.
Areley House is run by kind, efficient and proactive people. The environment is homely and comfortable. I have nothing but praise for these people who look after my mother in a caring and sensitive manner. They think up original and simple ways of tackling problems to help their charges and never forget other family members in their day-to-day work. A wonderful care home run by wonderful people!
My mother had been in Areley House since 2015. The care given was exceptional. Unfortunately, my mother suffered with dementia and passed away in January 2018. Again the care and dignity given in the days before her death was outstanding. I would highly recommend this care home. Excellent all round.
My initial tour was undertaken by a very well informed admin staff member. She provided a very positive overview of the home, which was clean and spacious. On my second visit, I was shown around by a senior care worker, who took the time to answer questions in a knowledgeable manner. All members of staff showed a caring attitude towards the residents. The day my mother moved in, we were received by the deputy manager, who had a professional, as well as welcoming manner towards my mother and I. She was reassuring and helpful. The entire experience helped make the transition a lot easier.
My parents moved to Areley House in October 2015 and settled very well in this well-managed care home. I have always been impressed with the kindness and excellent care given by all the staff regardless of their role and job description. This is indeed a comfortable and happy home and you can sense this atmosphere as soon as you step through the front door. Sadly my father died in August and the kindness and support that was given to my mother and family together with the wonderful end of life care that he received could not have been better.
My mother was a resident at Areley House for around 3 and a half years and sadly passed away at the end of February. I can honestly say the kindness and care shown was second to none. In that time I was a regular visitor and could see the commitment to care and the dignity shown by all members of the Areley House team.
I consider myself and my family to be lucky in that Areley House was chosen by my mother's social worker. The atmosphere and overall ambience is excellent. I have visited my mum as regularly as possible, but not at the same time, for the past few years. I have always found her to be in a clean, happy condition. I have had many meals with my mum, although I have not eaten here but sat with her when she has enjoyed her meals. I am always impressed with the attitude of the competent and friendly staff. A wonderful safe haven in the fog of dementia. I can not praise the place any higher.
