View Full Details of Baytree CourtMy mum has been at Baytree Court after some time in hospital. The home has been absolutely top notch. The atmosphere there is very friendly and helpful and the staff are to a person excellent. My mum has improved significantly since being cared for there and I am extremely appreciative of their efforts. The home is run very well by the new manager and she has been very helpful throughout my mum's transition there. I very seldom do reviews but would absolutely recommend Baytree.
Mum has been in this care home for over a year. The carers are brilliant and Mum smiles every time she sees them. They treat her like she is one of their family. The home is friendly, clean and dog-friendly. There is lots of entertainment happening with singers attending on a regular basis. I would recommend this home.
The home needs a manager to 'take the reigns' and address a few domestic issues. I understand this has now been addressed. The activities organiser is an absolute gem and consistently goes over and above what she is required to do. Some of the care staff take advantage of this and leave her to do what, in effect, is their job.
I find Baytree Court a warm and friendly environment. The staff are caring and make you feel welcome. Any queries are dealt with professionally. The residents are encouraged to attend activities and socialise. All special occasions (birthdays, Easter, Mother's Day) are celebrated. Complaints are acted on immediately. The premises are cleaned regularly.
I have left Baytree Court after being a resident for four months. Initially, after being in hospital, I required TLC but realised I am too active for permanent residence. The staff here are excellent, caring and professional in their approach to residents, they make an excellent team, doing each other's job if there is a gap. My hesitation in giving 'good' for overall experience was the food, which I found to be bland and repetitive (I must be fair in saying that most other residents enjoyed the food).
My mother-in-law has been in care for two years now, and in this time, she has been looked after to a high standard. She is kept very clean, with two baths a week and strip washes in between. The carers are amazing, so patient and hardworking. The food is of a good standard, and the residents have lots of activities, including external singers and musicians. She continues to be very happy and healthy.
My father-in-law came to Baytree Court in March this year. I have found the staff always helpful and caring to him. The rooms are clean, the food is very good, and they do their best to keep the residents happy.
The staff at Baytree Court are kind and caring and although busy, always have time to discuss any concerns. The food is excellent. Home is clean and well-maintained. I can leave Mum there knowing she is being well cared for.
Overall, Baytree Court is an excellent care home. There have been a few minor issues over the past few months, mainly due to a shortage of staff and a lack of communication. Agency staff are being used more often, this creates problems as they don't know the residents and their particular individual needs. The staff work extremely hard but do not have any time to take extra time with residents as they are rushing to care for the next resident.
My elderly aunt moved into Baytree a few years ago, she is now 102! The carers are lovely, she always says they are so kind. She is bedridden now but looked after so well. The home has a lovely atmosphere and is very clean, staff are welcoming and pleasant, lots of activities for the residents that can do them. Highly recommend Baytree Court!
We as a family could not have asked for more compassionate caring for our late dad/dad-in-law. Each member of staff is an asset to Baytree, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are beautifully decorated and furnished. The home-cooked food is outstanding and nothing is too much trouble.
We are very happy with the care given to my mother-in-law. The staff go above and beyond to ensure that residents are looked after, entertained and made happy. Well done to them all. Couldn't wish for a better place for her.
My husband has dementia and has been in respite care in Baytree Court a number of times. He really likes going there and is very well looked after.
My nana has been a resident at Baytree Court since June 2022, since residing at the service the care and support my nana has received have been nothing but outstanding. My nana is supported to make choices, her wishes are listened to and the staff support her in a person-centred and dignified manner. The staff offer a wide range of activities for residents to engage in and keep families informed of how their loved ones are spending their time. My nana will always praise the quality and choices of food at the service and as a family, we have also witnessed this. The service is always exceptionally clean and well maintained to high standards and staff are always engaging with the residents. As a family we feel reassured that my nana is safe and well cared for, Baytree has gone above and beyond to make the service feel like home for my nana and given her physical health on admission they have certainly prolonged and improved her quality of life.
An excellent home that treats the residents as individuals with care and respect, Information and communication ios good and open. My mum was treated with dignity, she was clean, warm and well fed. All the carers were approachable and built a good rapport with my mum. Never at any time did I feels she was unsafe and I had every confidence while she was here she was well looked after.
My mother has been a resident at Baytree for several years. She is 101 years old, blind and has dementia. She is well-fed, warm and cared for to a high standard. The staff are polite and always happy to chat and have a laugh, what more could you wish for.

In all aspects of care for my mother, the staff have been competent, professional, friendly and willing to achieve the best they can for the resident and family. They are being led by a strong leader who in turn helps them achieve their full potential and this reflects in job satisfaction and well run happy care home.
It is an excellent care home. The staff genuinely care for their residents. They have fine with them and always listen to them. The food is of excellent quality and prepared thoughtfully, varied and tasty. Cleanliness is excellent throughout the Baytree and decoration is kept up to date. They celebrate everything with the residents involving them in staff celebrations, St Patrick's Day and Easter, they recently had 'Thatching Chikcens' which the residents adored!
Baytree Court is a good caring home. Unfortunately because of Covid the activities have been very much curtailed. Entertainers and speakers have not been to visit and there is very little to occupy the residents.
