View Full Details of Mary Chapman CourtMy mother has been in Mary Chapman for about three months. Coming from the hospital. After living independently until the age of 94. In the time she has been a resident she has quickly accepted it as her new home, she constantly tells us she is happy. We live very close by so visit regularly. at least half the time she is not in her room, even with Dementia she is always doing something, baking, watching singers, exercise classes, recently she had a visit from a guy with birds of prey. The staff are excellent, attentive, and professional. We have met most of them. I cannot fault the care she receives. When she first went in she was so thin she could not wear her rings as her fingers were too thin, they have built her up so she can now wear them all the time, a little thing but it makes her happy.
My father is so happy at Mary Chapman Court. The staff are wonderful with my dad and really care about him. The staff are always on hand to help you with any queries or comfort you during those emotional times. The home is always immaculate and the gardens are kept beautifully. They also have a wonderful range of activities on for the residents which is so lovely.
I visited five different care homes when searching for one for my elderly auntie. What a responsibility. I wanted to find a place she would be happy, safe, and well cared for, but also convenient for other family members to visit, when they came into the UK. All of our family but myself, live in the US. When I visited everything was clean and the residents, staff, and other visitors, seemed happy. Everything was clean and there was a very good atmosphere. My auntie moved in, under much protest, but it was best as she was unable to care for herself at all. She immediately fell in love with the place and told me 'she was never going home, no matter what I said.' I could not have been more pleased. She feels safe and well cared for.
My sister was admitted to Mary Chapman Court with a diagnosis of mixed Alzheimer's/vascular dementia. Initially, this was for respite accommodations that became residential and finally end of life care. Mary Chapman Court provided a very caring, empathetic environment at all stages. In order to provide a safe and happy end to a full life. I have no hesitation in recommending the whole team to others.
My husband went for two weeks of respite at Mary Chapman Court (7-21st May) he was given first-class care and assistance. Very friendly and happy staff always greeted us. He was very happy there and enjoyed his respite. We cannot praise the staff enough. We hope he can return in the next few months.
My mum's two weeks of respite care at Mary Chapman Court, although a bit traumatic for Mum at the time, turned out a very pleasant experience for her due to the attention she received from all the staff.
I would like to thank all staff for the care, compassion and understanding that was shown to me. They were always ready to listen to me when I was really down and it really helped me. I would certainly come back again and can't praise the staff enough and the food was good.
When I visited my mother last week she was full of praise about the kind carer who had given her a bath, telling me how much better she felt after it and how thoughtful and practical the carer had been.
All staff cared for our mother with kindness and compassion throughout her residence. Showing her respect and dignity at all times. Her room was consistently clean and personal item's hygiene standards were high. Covid protocols were thoroughly enforced and maintained. Food was always of a high standard and interaction was friendly and personal. Would highly recommend.
The staff at Mary Chapman Court are amazing, they are under new management and I have noticed a great difference in the staff morale. They truly are like a big family, you can see the team dedicated to the care of the residents. I happened to be there a day a resident had passed away and all the team gathered at the front entrance to say their goodbyes when they left the home, you could see every member of that team was sad to see a family member leave. I would highly recommend this care home if you're looking for a caring, happy and safe environment.
I stayed for 2 weeks of respite care. Very well looked after by friendly pleasant staff. Everybody was very kind to me and I would certainly use the care home again.
My mother moved into the home in September 2021 and the overall level of service and support has been excellent. From getting the room set up, putting up her pictures to adapting her care to manage her increasing fragility responsiveness has been excellent. Admin, management and care staff are all friendly and create a positive family atmosphere.
My dear mum passed away at the end of August last year. She spent 20 months in Mary Chapman Court. We found the team to be warm and friendly, a family style atmosphere from the manager and every single team member. They all played an important role in Mum being happy. The care received was excellent and respectful. My mum really enjoyed the singers and entertainment.mThe team were all very approachable and nothing was too much trouble. My Mum had craved skate and chips and the cook kindly said if I got some skate she would cook it. That really made Mum's day. The home is very clean and the food is very good. If you are looking for a lovely care home for a family member or friend Mary Chapman Court is an excellent choice, you will not be disappointed.
When my husband was admitted to Mary Chapman Court, having no recent experience of care homes, I didn't really know what to expect. While my husband, in his muddled mind, planned his escape, I could see that all his needs were being met. The care extended to my husband and observed towards other residents was for me comforting. As his needs changed, so all the staff adjusted their attention. I observed the respect shown to him and how his dignity was preserved as far as possible. When his physical health declined, the dignified care continued and was extended to me as well. I cannot praise the staff enough for how this stage was handled; they all, no matter their job description, contributed to make this difficult time as gentle as possible. He, and I, have so much to be thankful for.
My mum arrived from hospital for respite care and during the next 12 weeks she has received excellent care from the staff to ensure she has regained her health sufficiently to allow her to return back to her home. Mary Chapman Court provides wonderful health care, fully understanding what she required to ensure her health improved together with being in a safe and well-maintained environment with lovely meals. She has enjoyed her stay and fully appreciates the efforts of all the staff.
My mother was located to Mary Chapman Court from London a couple of months before the first lockdown. I have found all the team here have worked hard to keep things as normal as possible for the residents. There has been good communication with regards to the ever-changing rules on visiting which has proved very useful and a virtual residents meeting has proved very informative. The team have gone out of their way to help keep residents and their relatives in touch by varying means. The home was suited to my mother as it is small and homely and this has helped keep residents safe, my mother has a lovely room with a small patio area overlooking the garden. My mother can be quite difficult at times but all the team are very patient and caring.
When my Aunt's Dr told me that my Aunt needed more care than what I could provide her, I was concerned about finding a suitable care home for her. My aunt is a very private person and very reserved and was worried I wouldn't find one that could cater for her, so I visited many care homes and after a long search found Mary Chapman Court. The home was spotlessly clean and didn't have that hospital smell that some had, appeared more similar to a good private hotel, the staff and management are professional and caring, and under this current situation (Corona Virus) have gone the extra miles to keep the residents safe and happy. Although most of the activities have had to stop, they have sorted a Skype facility so we can talk and see my aunt regularly. Before Corona, I visited my aunt daily and watched my usually shy reserved Aunt turn into a much happier contented person. She has Alzheimer's but I really think the staff and their care has slowed down its progression. Thank You, Mary Chapman Court.
The care that Mum received in the last 6 months of her life was outstanding. nothing was too much trouble, whatever mum needed was supplied. All the staff were very friendly and very supportive to all of our family. They are a brilliant and dedicated team.
I am so pleased that my husband went into Mary Chapman Court care home. The care he gets is the best. I know when I go home, he is in good hands. I'd like to say thank you to all that look after him. The staff are great. Thank you.
An excellent facility which in my case I needed to recover from a debilitating illness with various complications. Staff always willing to help and to do everything I asked with good grace.
