View Full Details of Castle Farm Care HomeCastle Farm Care Home is a wonderful caring home with excellent staff. I cannot speak highly enough of the care and attention that they give to dad. I am so pleased that we found this care home.
I was looking for a homely caring care home for holiday cover stay and sure did I find it. Lovely place, lovely room, lovely staff and lovely food. We will certainly use it again next time needed.
I cannot speak highly enough about Castle Farm Care Home. It is out in the countryside, surrounded by open farmland and a vineyard. So it's both beautiful and peaceful. Our aunty was lucky enough to spend seventeen, very happy, months there. It is relatively small with, I believe, about nineteen rooms. The staff are always friendly, helpful, professional and clearly take pride in the happiness of their residents. As a result of all of the above, the home feels like a very large family. Some larger organisations may struggle to achieve this. We consider ourselves very lucky to have found Castle Farm and unreservedly recommend them to anyone looking for a home for a loved one.
The care and love shown to my Father by Castle Farm's carers was exceptional.
My mother has been a resident at Castle Farm Care Home for just over a year. Great care has been given to her throughout this time and efforts made to integrate with other residents and become part of the community. All the staff are extremely helpful. The standard of personal care is great. Her room is always clean and an effort is made to arrange her flowers and belongings as she wishes. The handyman does a marvellous job with her patio and keeping her feeders topped up! Last week she was fortunate enough to reach her 100th birthday. She was made to feel very special with a wonderful afternoon tea with all the residents. The staff made a real effort to decorate the lounge for the occasion. Whilst she was having her hair done, they sneaked into her room and gave it a makeover. She was delighted and her family will never forget this milestone. Thank you everyone!
My mother lived at Castle Farm from July 2021 until she passed away in January this year. Throughout her time there, she was treated with amazing kindness, care, love and respect. The home is indeed that; a home. It has a wonderful calm, caring atmosphere. Staff are approachable, friendly and always helpful. They not only looked after Mum but us, as a family, too. What is so evident is that the staff genuinely seem to enjoy their work, going over and above. Lovely parties laid on for the Jubilee, Christmas etc. Staff coming in on their days off to host residents and their families. Mum loved the meals and entertainment. She was happy in her room which was bright and always clean. Mum was treated as an individual; staff knew her and how to encourage her. Sadly, Mum reached the stage in her life where she needed round-the-clock care. We consider ourselves so fortunate that Castle Farm could accommodate her. As a retired nurse myself, I can truly say that this care home is truly outstanding.
I chose Castle Farm residential home for my Grandmother due to the homely feel, the activities on offer and having heard good reports on the care for the residents. My grandmother lived at Castle Farm for 5 years, and in that time she was looked after with great care and compassion; I never had any cause for concern or complaint. Sadly she passed away in December, but she was treated with kindness, dignity and respect right up until the end. The staff truly care and are amazing and that above everything else is what counts the most.
My mum was at Castle Farm Care Home for the last eighteen months of her life. The care that she received was excellent. The staff are all very caring and know everyone and their individual needs very well. Mum particularly enjoyed the food and the activities and the kitchen staff were always very accommodating with any special requests. We were always made to feel very welcome when visiting and were always on hand if we had any questions. We are so glad that we found Castle Farm when Mum needed to go into a care home and would recommend it to anyone. Thank you to everyone at Castle Farm.
Dad was taken care of with such professionalism throughout. From the chef that wanted to cook him his favourite dish, to the cleaner that kept his room immaculate when dad had his little spills. Carers never gave up to keep Dad's independence and worked tiresomely throughout his decline and always had time to talk to you. Office managers are always at hand to listen to your concerns, always with a smile and a hug. We were put at ease at the end of Dad's life which made a very sad and difficult situation to now be the most treasured experience of Dad's passing in our hearts always and now so at peace with it. Thank you so much to the evening staff in question..difficult times were handled so compassionately. Fantastic team, wonderful people to have around you in what can be a very challenging time for any family when a loved one goes into a home. Castle Farm Care Home is first-class in all they do and who they are dealing with. Thank you all so very much.
I am always very impressed when visiting the residential home. Clean and welcoming.
My first reaction to Castle Farm Care Home, when looking for somewhere for our friend, was the feeling of welcome and calm as soon as we walked in. That feeling has not changed, it's there with the management team and the carers, all of whom look after the residents. Nothing is too much trouble and ways are found for those who are finding things difficult. It's miracles they work and our friend has improved beyond recognition. I can't be more delighted, we recommend it too highly.
This is an excellent home. My mum is so happy here. She has a beautiful room. Nothing is too much for any of the staff. There are lots of activities for the residents. They are taken out on day trips. The home is kept immaculate. My sister and I feel so lucky we found this home for Mum. We looked at a few and none of them compared to this one. The minute we arrived at this home for Mum to look at she said this is where I want to live. I cannot praise this home enough.
The home is marvellous, the staff are too, the food is very good, and the facilities are very good. I would recommend it to anyone.
Our mum received care and end-of-life care for two and a half years at Castle Farm Care Home. Throughout the Corona pandemic and beyond, she was kept safe and comfortable with a hundred smiles, hugs and kisses from the staff. Meanwhile, our mum was feisty to the end. Our deep gratitude goes to all for the kind and professional care she received until the very last moment. The consideration shown to her granddaughter and myself during the last 48 hours will never be forgotten. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, to the manager and your team, be proud of what you do and have achieved.
My mother and father both lived in Castle Farm Care Home for the last few years. The care they received was exceptional and they were both extremely happy living there. The staff regularly went above and beyond normal duty to look after them and, whilst everyone was amazing, I would like to single out one member of staff for adding a particular level of kindness and consideration that I found deeply moving. Nobody likes to put their parents into a care home but when it becomes absolutely necessary it is a great comfort to be able to find somewhere like Castle Farm. I thank everybody there from the bottom of my heart for all they did for Mum and Dad.
Our mum was at Castle Farm Care Home for a few years and during her time there she was looked after brilliantly. The staff are caring, often doing extra things in their own time. I would regularly ask Mum if she was happy where she was and she would, without hesitation, always say yes she liked it there. The lovely, quiet patio area and garden, with the chairs and tables, enhance the feeling of a peaceful country residence: lovely to sit out when visiting Mum. We would fully recommend Castle Farm to anyone thinking of care home options.
Mum has been a resident for a few months and was previously at another care home but felt she needed more of a homely atmosphere. She took a while to settle in, but she is happy there, and one cannot fault the staff who are kind and caring and make sure on her bad days she is given extra reassurance. Her room has her personal possessions of photos and pictures scattered throughout her walls and is made to be as homely as possible for her. Would highly recommend.
My father lived at Castle Farm for 14-months, having chosen to move into residential care. He welcomed the excellent food, friendly atmosphere, lively activities and well cared for home and gardens. At all times he was made to consider Castle Farm as his home where he was welcome to invite friends for a meal and to visit. Over recent months his health deteriorated, and he had to rely on the excellent care of the staff and the oversight of his medical needs. Although he found his increasing dependence frustrating, high-quality care was maintained throughout. Relatives were always welcomed and any requests considered. Owing to the demands of Covid 19, additional challenges arose, but communication was maintained and contact with residents was a priority. As end of life care became necessary, visits were facilitated for close family and all his needs were attended to with sensitive communication with relatives. We were so grateful that our father was living at Castle Farm.
My mother only moved into Castle Farm in November but she was made to feel like a member of the family. The staff were more than friendly and helpful. When she, unfortunately, passed away in April the management and staff made it easier for me to get things rolling (always a difficult time so any burden taken off of you is a godsend.) and made me feel like they really cared. I can't recommend them enough.
We are very happy with the excellent, patient care our elderly father is receiving at Castle Farm. He has settled in really well after a time and now is contented and happy with his new life here. The food is very good, which he greatly enjoys. The carers are super and know him and his many idiosyncrasies well. He is treated with dignity and patience. He enjoys some of the activities and often is found in the garden and greenhouse.
