View Full Details of Beechwood Nursing HomeI have no apprehensions at all concerning my wifes' care and wellbeing at Beechwood Care Home. I constantly see that she is well cared for and in very good hands.
My sister is a very difficult to deal with staff are very good to her. Her husband has settled very well he has come on very well since he has been at Beechwood. When he came he was in Bed all the time but is now going down into the lounge and is enjoying it he is also feeding himself
My sister-in-law is not very easy to deal with but the staff handle very well. He husband has settled very well, he goes down to the lounge very day and enjoys the company of the other residents he is sitting in a chair where he went to Beechwoods he was bed bound so we are pleased with his progress.
My uncle was placed in Beechwood when discharged from hospital after a bad fall. He is 95 years old and it became clear he could not look after himself at home. My uncle was very poorly when he first arrived at the home but since that time has improved greatly. I cannot praise the staff highly enough for the support and care provided, not only for my uncle but to myself. While my uncle will not return home, I am so relieved that he is safe and being cared for at Beechwood Care Home in Northallerton.
My mum has Alzheimer's and has been in Beechwood since July 2024. Was very difficult at the beginning but the care and understanding she received was brilliant. They have been so patient with her. I'm glad to say she has settled and seems happy there now. I've got to know the carers and they are all lovely. The best part is that my little dog Betty is welcomed in and some of the other residents love to see her as well and have a cuddle.
My mother spent 2 weeks of respite care in this home. The staff were helpful and accommodating, making my mother feel welcome the minute she stepped through the door by calling her by her first name. My mother commented on how lovely and friendly the staff were and has turned around and said she would like to return in the future.
The staff at Beechwood Nursing Home are brilliant, and makes this care home. They are kind, professional and hard working. They genuinely care about my mum, and she feels at home because of them. They treat her like the wonderful individual she is and encourage her to love the best life she can. The home has a good manager, who has created the right culture that allows the staff to do well.
All staff were amazing, so kind and so helpful. Dad thoroughly enjoyed his stay at Beechwood. He was so looked after carers and nurses all very attentive to his needs. Thank you so much to the manager as well she was so understanding and has done an amazing job of bringing the place back to where it should be. Thank you.
Several years ago a relative of my husband was in Beechwood and received excellent care. Which is why when this relative needed care I didn't look anywhere else. I think this and my scoring says it all.
Care and consideration towards the residents are good. All are known by their names and concern is shown with regard to their problems. Nursing care is satisfactory and available at all times. Meals are acceptable but could be more varied. Nighttime care is available and has improved lately. Rooms are clean, including the ensure. More care could be taken with dressing the residents and attention to hair.
My mum entered Beechwood in December 2021 whilst the home was quarantined due to Covid. It was rather traumatic leaving her and we only had window visits for a few months. Mum always looked well and cared for. The home hit a blip with a failing CQC report but this care home has turned around. There is excellent management and communication. There is now an activities coordinator. Mum passed away on the 15th of March 2024 but her care was exemplary. The home's best asset, the staff, from the domestic to the nurses/carers and management. It is very much like one large family and mum was loved like a valued relative.
A very caring environment with lovely staff. Everyone has made a big effort to give wonderful attention and after person-centred care. No request is too difficult.
My mother has been at Beechwood for around 5 months now. She was made very welcome by the wonderful staff, and we are happy with the great care and attention she receives. Visiting her is a pleasure as the staff are so welcoming to relatives as well!
I could not have wished for better care for my mother during her "end of life" at Beechwood Nursing Home. The nursing care was excellent, but the personal, friendly interaction was exceptional. I was so blessed that my mother ended her life in such wonderful care.
My mother-in-law was admitted following a fall. I can not thank the home enough for the help, support and compassion that they provided not only to my mother-in-law but also my wife during a very stressful and difficult time. My mother-in-laws last months were filled with joy and contentment and her family were able to come and visit regularly. Sadly my mother-in-law passed away back in October 2021, however, I can not thank the staff at Beechwood enough for all that did.
I write to extol my sincerest praise and respect to all the wonderfully caring and hard-working staff within Beechwood care home. My mother was gently, respectfully and professionally cared for during her last months in nursing care. From Management to refreshment staff, I and family are most grateful to everyone, that my mother received the best of care. Kindest wishes.
I was concerned about my grandmother going into a home during Covid, however, I was delighted with the care given throughout. I was put fully at ease by the home manager and staff. I know she was very comfortable during her last weeks and days. I would highly recommend Beechwood Nursing Home to anyone.
