View Full Details of Swan House Care HomeWe visited this time after not having seen my Brother for a couple of months. Every member of staff was helpful and polite. A cup of coffee was provided for us within 15 minutes. My Brother was contented and happy in the environment.
The experience we have as a family visiting our brother is made to feel so welcoming, and is so pleasing that the care he receives is kind, and communication with us is very helpful as the stages of his dementia progresses. The home is clean and the staff are very attentive, we couldn't ask for anything more and we are very content with the care he gets. Thank you to all the team.
My dad has been living at Swan House for 18 months and the whole team has got to know him well and are really kind. It's a friendly, homely place where residents and relatives are part of a big family.
We are a family of 5, our brother is currently residing at Swan Court Care Home in Winslow. The staff are so kind, and caring. Nothing is ever too much trouble. Always makes us welcome when we visit. Our brother seems happy at Swan Court. Thank you to all the staff that look after him.
Good clean environment and courteous staff. We love the way the staff treats all the clients. The environment is clean. The clients are all happy. The way clients are all treated in a respectful manner gives comfort and joy and peace even to the relatives. The serene environment is very conducive.
Swan House is an amazing care home. The staff are fantastic and cannot do enough to help my mum live a happy and comfortable life, especially the manager. He is always there to talk to and proactive in implementing things. Very understanding. This is my mum's third care home, and is by far the best - a home away from home!
My mother has been here for six months. She is always treated with kindness and great empathy by the staff. The communication with me has been excellent. She has received prompt medical care when she has needed it. I am very happy that she is here.
It is my great pleasure to report that since moving to Swan House Care Home, my mother has begun to smile again. She seems a changed person. She is happy, much more content, and she is slowly putting on weight, so she much be happy with the food and drink. I am also happy to report that she is responding very well to the activities provided, especially the visiting petting zoo.
Mum has now been a resident for eight months, and I can honestly say that she has never received such good care. Nothing is too much trouble for the wonderful staff there. She adores them all (as do we) and is so happy and grateful to be a resident. The carers are all so very kind and respectful and treat Mum with the utmost dignity at all times. Everyone takes the time to talk to her and help her when needed. The GP surgery who visits the home is also excellent. If you are looking for a small, intimate ‘and caring’ care home for your loved one, look no further! I cannot praise them all highly enough.
I am very grateful for the excellent care that my mum is receiving. She always seems quite happy and well cared for. All the staff go out of their way to make sure Mum is comfortable and has everything she needs.
Excellent care throughout. Cannot fault any of the staff. Very highly recommended.
Always clean and communication very good between the carers and myself.
My mother receives great care at Swan House. She is obviously happy living there because she is much more alert and chatty when we visit. She says that the carers take the time to talk with her, which helps her stay alert. She looks very healthy due to good food and regular beverages being given. She hasn't received care this good in years... many thanks to all.
I wrote to you in July 2016, about my wife who had just started being a resident in 2016. The three years spent at Swan House saw her very happy and content while struggling with dementia. It exceeded all my expectations, and while good for her, it was also very good for me because I got my life back and was able to lead a full life, in the knowledge that she was safe. The staff were amazing to both of us. I have the utmost respect for them all. My wife recently passed away, but the support and expertise shown by everyone contacted with Swan House was exceptional. I am now a regular volunteer with Swan House. The recent CQC report bore no resemblance to what I encountered at the home.
Since moving Mum to Swan House in November straight from yet another hospital admission Mum has, with the help of the fantastic staff team, blossomed. Everyone in my family has commented on how well Mum has looked and the difference to her mental health, as she no longer looks so lonely and depressed. The home is welcoming, bright and spacious, family visits are not restricted by set times. Every one of the homes staff team made Christmas special and Mum certainly enjoyed very much, which was lovely to see. All in all a lovely home and happy caring staff.
Since my mum moved into Swan House in May, it's very friendly being a small home rather than a big one. The staff have got more time for my mum, her room is cosy and warm and the bathroom suits her needs. She is getting the care she needs and you can talk to the staff and they listen, the communication is good and never been left out of the loop. If I need care I wouldn't mind being there (hopefully not for a few years yet!)
I have always felt welcome in Swan House. The staff are all friendly and extremely helpful. They are all always aware fo my mother's current situation and needs. I have marked the majority of points as good as no one is perfect and there is always the opportunity to improve in any walk of life.
My mother is now a happier, less anxious person. The great care has allowed me to enjoy special moments that I thought had gone forever.
Dad went into Swan House for respite on 1 August 2017 and from day 1, was a changed person. It is a pleasure to visit him and see how happy he is and we are grateful that he is now a permanent resident.
What wonderful pleasant people. Staff and management made my auntie feel safe, secure and well looked after. They turned a very depressed lady into a happy, smiling and more confident person.
