View Full Details of Maple Leaf HouseI am very happy with the care of my husband at Maple Leaf House. The staff appear and make you feel like one of the family there. They are kind and caring to the patients. Also, I am made very welcome every time I go. It is a great relief to me knowing he is taken care of, fed lovely food and kept clean along with his room. The staff and management are all very approachable and attentive. They try to stimulate everyone with activities and entertainment. No fears about security. A great place for dementia people.
I am always delighted to visit Maple Leaf. The welcomes are always second to none. I rarely announce my visit and I am content to see my relative looking clean, well cared for and dignified. The manager's door is always open both physically and metaphorically reassuring me that any worries I have will be listened to and acted upon.
My husband has been a resident at Maple Leaf House for over three years. To him, this is home and he is happy and secure here. He recently had a week in hospital which left him stressed and unhappy. It took his carers and the staff a couple of weeks to resolve his confidence and his security but he was soon smiling and happy here again. He loves the activities, especially the one-to-one music therapy he has been having and also the group music therapy sessions. Thank you.
Since my mum has been in care, my overall experience has been very good. The staff have been excellent with Mum's care. They always inform me with all the information that needs to be passed on. Mum is on a blended diet and all meats are well presented on the plate for Mum. I couldn't ask for a better care home.
The staff are marvellous. The care for my mother is wonderful. Very caring and helpful. Couldn't ask for a better care home.
Dad has been a resident for the last two years. During this time, the fantastic staff have gone above and beyond to make Dad feel comfortable, happy and safe. They have worked hard to understand and be empathetic to his individual needs. He and the other residents are stimulated daily by the amazing activities on offer, Dad loves a dance and a sing-a-long! His "seize the day" treat was wonderful! The whole team made him part of his grandson's wedding day by hosting a very special afternoon tea for family and residents! Wonderful memories!
Maple Leaf is an excellent care home because the staff are all experienced. They are dedicated and caring and treat the residents with dignity at all times. Irrespective of their titles and responsibilities they work as a team. I have been to their care home as a visitor in the past and in my opinion Maple Leaf is better than those by a mile. The furniture and the internal doors have recently been upgraded.
My mum has been in Maple Leaf House for over 2 1/2 years now and I am very happy with the way she is taken care of by all the staff at Maple Leaf. I know she is safe and getting food and drink whenever she needs - and she loves her cuppas. The staff are so good with her, they encourage her when she needs it, but if she doesn't want to do something then they never force her. She loves the activities and the musical therapy. I always feel happy leaving because I know my mum is happy and safe too.
Maple Leaf House gives excellent service to my husband (and other residents). He has been here for 3.5 years and has received wonderful care. Also, the staff are brilliant in caring for families too. Well done in everything they do.
I am a volunteer and I come to Maple Leaf House about 3 times a week. I love to help residents with a drink or just talking to them, it is very satisfying. My husband was a resident here for 18 months but passed away in September 2023. We all love to sing, play ball and do craft work with residents that are able. It's such a lovely, happy home and we all get on like a big family. It is so good. I love it.
My dad has been at Maple Leaf House for 18 months. he is well looked after and very happy. The staff are always welcoming and cheerful and provide excellent care. Dad loves the activities and the entertainment provided by the team. Visiting the home is always a positive experience.
My father was in a bad way and I spent a good chunk of the night and the following morning by his bedside. The quality of care I saw provided to my father was exceptional. The professional approach and the way they engaged with my father in such a friendly and personal way was incredible. I cannot speak highly enough of the people on duty and the way Maple Leaf House Care Home is run to encourage such a service.
An excellent care home. The home is very well managed and has wonderful, caring, kind and patient staff. The excellent care and understanding of my husband's individual needs enabled him to settle well into his new environment earlier this year. This was a great comfort to me during a very difficult time. Everyone has a very positive attitude, is very approachable and so lovely. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they treat all residents with dignity, respect and compassion. It feels like an extended family. My family and I cannot thank and praise the staff enough for their approach, understanding and empathy shown to my husband and the excellent care they provide him on an individual basis and the support they give to all our family. Maple Leaf House Care Home is an excellent care home. We would highly recommend it to anyone in the same situation as ours.
I have found Maple Leaf House to have a pleasant soothing ambience for residents. The friendly staff are cheerful and lively and encourage a feeling of serenity and well-being, giving an atmosphere that is calm, peaceful and tranquil. There is also a sense of cleanliness and order with exemplary medical care. Healthy eating is encouraged with an excellent balanced menu which includes a variety of protein foods. The building provides an airy, commodious and comfortable home-from-home setting. The home has excellent facilities and hosts numerous themed days and activities which keep residents happy and engaged. There is additional emotional support for residents with the position of a chaplain who gives one-to-one care with a listening ear and comfort. All in all, I have found the staff to be compassionate, kind, helpful, attentive, caring and patient and would thoroughly recommend Maple Leaf House.
My husband has been very well cared for at Maple Leafe House since 2019. I feel the staff know him well and that he is happy there. Each resident is treated as an individual, and levels of care are carefully managed. Families are encouraged to be involved and to support the home. Acitvities and events are well organised and cover a wide range of interests.
Excellent care provider.
What a lovely place. Care staff excellent, lovely staff tending to service users with comfort and reassurance in every step/ Polite and very aware of any problems service users have. Lots of team spirit. Every time we visit, we are made welcome. Great atmosphere, nice and clean. The food looks fantastic. Nice facilities to use. Activities each time we go, always different ones. Keep up the good work.
My wife has been a resident at Maple Leaf House for nearly seven years. Her care throughout this time has been very good. The pandemic of the last two years has been difficult and several excellent staff have left, but good replacements have been found. Things began to improve considerably when I was made an 'essential carer' and I am now able to visit her nearly every day. I would be pleased to answer anyone's questions about the home.
The entire staff are friendly and professional. My mother-in-law's well-being and mental health have improved markedly since moving into Maple Leaf. We know she is safe and in a good place.
My husband seems very settled and content to be at Maple Leaf House and I am grateful for that, but poor communication from the home has been a problem and has caused me some anxiety. Contact with a care home was new to me when my husband was admitted last year, an introductory booklet would have been helpful as well as the key information booklet. Lockdowns haven't helped but it sometimes seems that the home assumes we know what is happening, how the home is run and the day to day routines. Communication between the home and relatives may be improving with the introduction of friends and relatives meetings.
