View Full Details of Scorton Care VillageThe only negative point I can make is the fact my dad does not get taken outside enough which makes him feel cooped up (his words) and I feel this is not helping his dementia.
My uncle recently moved into Elizabeth House from another care home in the area. The contrast between the two homes is astounding. The other home was basic in every way from cheap bedding to smells, a bit of neglect, and just no care at all. Food was left beside is bed and he was expected to feed himself. He did not eat much and sometimes I would visit two hours after a meal and it would be untouched. At Scorton the care given was outstanding and very genuine. Today a very patient gentle and kind person fed him. I do not feel that I have to worry about him anymore.
My dad moved to Scorton Care Home 3 years ago he has now sadly passed away. The care he received while he was there was outstanding, all the staff did a wonderful job, and my dad always looked very clean and tidy. The home was always very clean bright and very welcoming. He enjoyed his food, he was in the nursing ward. I always found the staff very pleasant and helpful.
Scorton Care Village is amzing. The staff are so friendly and helpful. My father is very well looked after. I have total faith in everyone at Scorton Care Village. We are encouraged to bring our pets to see my dad and of course, the other residents on the unit enjoy this too. Our 8-month-old granddaughter is very popular on the unit, she's gained a whole new family from Scorton Care Village. Thank you so much everyone for all that you do for my family, especially my father, who I knew can be very difficult.
We have visited several times - residents seem happy and well cared for. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The building is always clean, warm, and well-appointed. Always plenty of staff members at hand.
The staff are always friendly and very helpful. Mother can be difficult with he dementia but all the staff are lovely with her. If she needs anything they always tell me and ask if I can buy new clothes etc. All the staff need a medal.
I am very satisfied that my husband is as well looked after as possible. I find the staff friendly and they do a very difficult job. The management is full of empathy when needed.
My husband is being well looked after, in a lovely room with his own mementoes around him. He is being kept clean and dressed and his health matters are attended to. Occasionally staff have problems with understanding instructions due to the language barriers, therefore, arrangments are not carried out.
I have been coming here to visit my friend for couple of years. My oldest friend works for CQC as does my relative so I am aware of things to be aware of. So I do have a tendency to observe my surroundings. Also having qualifications in MH. It allows me to watch interactions with staff to residents. I have found the part of the home I visit to be very clean and tidy. Hand sanitiser where you sign in. Plenty of information on notice board. I don't have much engagement with staff. As I go straight to my friend's room... but found the one staff member who will happily chat to be very pleasant. I have seen some staff sit and chat to residents. My friend who is bedbound is always clean and has clean bedding on. I was there a day when a cleaner was mopping the floor and it smelt lovely. Well done to hard-working cleaners who work hard to provide a nice clean environment. And of course to carers it is not an easy job. That I know. So you are appreciated.
The staff were friendly, helpful and professional and took excellent care of my father. He was always well looked after, clean and dressed. He wouldn't leave his room but they chatted to him and checked if he needed anything. At the end, they were very caring and kept us informed of what was happening.
I highly recommend Scorton Care Village to everyone for the excellent and genuine care that is given. This gives me the confidence and peace of mind knowing that my husband receives the very best of care. The management and all the staff are very friendly and caring and show a deep genuine commitment to the well-being of the residents. My grateful thanks to everyone.

I am confident if a health issue arises, it will be dealt with swiftly and successfully. All staff are friendly, kind, caring and always willing to talk about my husband and also offer me support if I am feeling low. I cannot wish for a better place for my husband to be living, nor can I find enough words to praise the wonderful staff.

I am highly satisfied with the manner in which my friend is cared for in Scorton Care Village. She always looks well and dressed, clean, tidy and her hair in order. Most of all she looks comfortable. The staff are kind, courteous and always willing to answer my queries. They respect her dignity and also my needs. Medical care is excellent. Scorton is always a welcoming, spotlessly clean establishment to visit and reside in.

Lovely surroundings. Spacious rooms. Good choice of food and all. Staff are very friendly. Nothing is too much trouble.
The resident's resistance to basic hygiene has been a significant part of managing his dementia. The staff have been brilliant at looking after him, making sure he is washed and changed and his room cleaned as required. Regular shaving has recently been introduced which was unimaginable for us. It is so good to see him looking so much better even though his dementia continues to progress. Scorton have given him back his dignity.
My aunty has lived here since 2020. She is thriving and seems to be very well cared for. The staff are all friendly and very caring. The management are kind and keeps me informed via telephone or email. My family and I are very happy with the care at Scorton Care Village.
My Grandma recently passed away, I can't speak highly enough of all the staff that looked after her, I would definitely recommend this home, they have been fantastic 10/10. They took so much time to get to know my grandma and showed respect and dignity throughout her time there.
My husband has been in Scorton Care Village for about eight months now and in that time has been treated very well by all staff. This has made what could have been horrendous for us as a family a bearable time because his carers treat us very well too and it enables us to have precious family time together in a pleasant atmosphere.
