View Full Details of Brook HouseAs a weekly visitor to Brook House, I have always been impressed by the staff and how they look after the residents with such care and patience. They always address the residents by name and explain things to them, thus ensuring they are not confused. I have been visiting the husband of a friend, now deceased, and he is treated with great respect and his choices are always adhered to. I would recommend Brook House to anyone looking for residential care for a loved one.
Overall I am very happy with the care my husband receives at Brook House. The staff are always helpful and friendly. My husband seems very happy in their care and is always looking well cared for.
Care home staff, rooms, food, and location are all excellent in my opinion. I cannot think of any negatives and am happy with the care provided.
My mother-in-law has been here since April this year, and they have all been so lovely to her and our family. Nothing is too much trouble for them. She can sometimes be very difficult but they always treat her kindly and have a lot of patience. We feel so much relief that she is now safe and being looked after so well by them all. We can't thank them enough and would recommend them to anyone.
The Managing Director and the Manager along with all their staff have been excellent over the last 3 years looking after both my parents, Sadly my Dad passed away recently but the care and attention they give to my mum have been great.
My Mum has been a resident at Brook House for almost three years. She entered just before lockdown which was a difficult time for everybody but she was made so welcome by all the staff. She settled well in spite of covid restrictions. The staff are all so friendly and make all family members so welcome at all times, but are also very comforting when times are tough! Mum celebrated her 100th birthday whilst there and the effort all the staff made was amazing, it was a brilliant day! I would never hesitate to recomend Brook House, friendliness and fun are key elements there!
I would highly recommend this wonderful residential home for your loved ones. The staff and carers are so warm and friendly and the care they give to their residents is incredible. It certainly gives our family peace of mind knowing our beloved mum is receiving great care.
Mum has come on in leaps and bounds, with excellent care from staff in Brook House. She arrived in June, bed-ridden and being fed teaspoons of blended food and can now weight-bare and feed herself food and drinks. Mum always seems very settled and happy when we visit and comfortable with all the staff. She is encouraged to mix with other residents and being cared for extremely well by a team of caring, patient staff.
Very good and the staff are helpful.
The carers are really good. They talk to my mum, have a conversation, laugh and talk about everyday subjects. Also supplied all the equipment needed to live safely and comfortably in the home.
My husband has Alzheimer's and has been a resident at Brook House since May 2019. The care at Brook House is second to none, I can't speak highly enough about the way he has been loved and cared for by all the staff from management downwards. The last year has been extremely challenging for all, and for me, as due to being unable to visit for most of that time. However, I feel complete trust in them, and I knew that he was being cared for in the away I would wish. Brook House is quite simply a lovely, caring 'home from home' for all its resident, and they care about the relative too. Bless them all.
Owing to my friend having no family I am her only link to the past. Care for the last 3 3/4 years has been kind and professional as she slowly deteriorates. She seems happy in her surroundings when I visit weekly.
Our dad is well looked after. The meals are lovely and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Our dad is looked after as well as can be expected. The home-cooked meals are good and the cook made our dad a beautiful birthday cake. Staff and management are always very friendly and a cuppa is always offered.
My mother has been a resident of Brook House since 2016. She receives excellent care from a wonderful team and I am very grateful for their assistance and dedication to my mother. I do not live locally to the home and it's good to know that I can trust them to take care of her and let me know if there is a problem or if I have concerns after speaking to her, I can contact them.
A small home with a very friendly and homely atmosphere. Visitors are always greeted with a smile by the staff who are also very polite, they know my name and who I am visiting. Their care and patience with the residents are second to none. The courtyard is a lovely place to sit in and on sunny days residents are allowed to have their meals out there if they wish to. It is a home where residents are the first priority, it is a home from home.
My experience is excellent. The meals are top class. The building is very clean and well looked after. The staff are very friendly. The rooms excellent, each room has a colour TV and there is a library with dozens of books, DVD's that we can borrow. Every so often we have entertainment.
My mother has been in and out of Brook House for the last 3 years and we cannot speak highly enough of the care, attention and support that has been afforded to her in that time. We have nothing but praise for all the staff. Nothing is too much trouble. She hasn't always been the easiest person to deal with, due to her illness but this hasn't affected the way the staff have gone about looking after her. Seeing our mother happy and much better after all this time is fantastic and again is a testament to the staff as this wouldn't have happened without them, which she has on occasions said herself. This aside, what has also been so much appreciated is the support the management have given us. This has helped us so much in what have been very testing times for us as a family as a whole. Thank you.
Mum was only at Brook House for a short time, unfortunately, but during her time there staff were extremely caring, attending to her personal needs and treating her as an individual. They could not do enough to make it feel home from home and I am truly thankful for the care Mum received.
The home is very caring with excellent dedicated, professional and kind staff. Mother is very well looked after, treated with dignity at all times (despite not always being all that easy due to her various conditions). There is always a lovely welcome on arrival and mother loves to sit in the garden when the weather allows and she is often taken out to the garden. Management is very strong and communication is very good. We even had our family Christmas in the conservatory (also father with mother) as she was unable to leave the home - very special. I would really recommend it.
