View Full Details of Swn-y-Mor Care CentreMy mother has been a resident at Swn-y-Mor for the last eight and a half years. She wanted to come to Swn-y-Mor when she was ready to go into a care home. She has been very happy there and used to be able to take part in a lot of the musical entertainment that the home puts on. All the staff are very caring towards her, especially now as she is not in the best of health. We receive a warm welcome from management and caring staff when we visit.

My grandfather is a resident and is treated amazingly. Me and my family could not be happier for him and are grateful for the care he is receiving. 10/10 would stick my parents there when they get old enough.
I cannot praise the staff and carers enough for the nursing care they provided for my uncle in the last days of his battle with cancer. The facilities provide are cheerful and happy and the staff are wonderful. They provided compassionate support at a difficult challenging time and my family and I are very grateful that they were able to provide my uncle with a safe, comfortable and peaceful passing.

I think the staff are marvelous. Nothing is to much trouble for them. There is always something going on for the residents. Chinese new year, bingo, singer my sister in law took a while to adjust but now she likes it there.

The care my father is receiving is out standing, the staff are amazing and have time for him, for the first time in years he is able to get out of bed daily with the carers support, when he has been ill it has been picked up quickly and medicine received. I wish he had moved in sooner
My dad has recently been unwell after 2 falls. Senior carers from Sandpiper suite have given me regular updates and asked for medical review. Grateful to all carers for their attention and also to the nurses on ground floor who reviewed him and assisted him back to bed. It's a tough decision to put a loved one into care but it's reassuring to know dad is being looked after. Thank you Swn-Y-Mor Sandpiper suite.
Our mother passed away peacefully in Nursing care at Swn y Mor in December after a long stay at Swn y Mor. At all stages of her time there she was superbly looked after and her needs well supported. The environment is outstanding, the residents rooms are lovely. Cleanliness is outstanding and the food is excellent. The standard of care cannot be faulted, staff are cheerful, pleasant, personable and excellent at they do, leadership is effective and leaders are visible and accessible. When our mother was able to participate, she hugely enjoyed the activities offered to residents which are led by an outstanding entertainment manager who works especially hard to include residents.
My sister has now been in Swn-Y-Mor Care Centre since October 2023. She is now 96 and has settled in to the home extremely well. She lived in her own home for 92 years so we imagined that it would be quite difficult for her to settle. However, she has surprised us all. She loves her room, the staff and some of the activities. She is a little bit picky with her food and has her favourite items, tomato soup and chocolate eclairs. She is extremely happy, rarely grumbles and doesn't have a bad word to say for anybody. We couldn't wish for a better atmosphere. We have visited several other homes where we have other relatives and I certainly wouldn't want to place her in any of these. She has made a very close friendship with another resident and they see each other every day. The events organiser has put on two superb birthday parties for her at 95 and 96 when many of her friends attended and commented on how well it was presented.
Food in general is good, except the chips which aren't. Staff are very professional and friendly Home needs needs a bit of a refurbishment, parts are starting to look worn. Activities are quite varied and special shout out to the two member of staff. Location is great especially for chair bound residents as you have direct access to the promenade and beach.
My mother was in Swn-Y-Mor for nearly three years until she passed away in June 2024. The staff at the home were excellent and my mother was well looked after and was very happy at the home. Every time we visited the staff were always friendly and showed a loving care for my mother. I would highly recommend this care home to anyone considering a place for their relatives in the future.
My grandmother had just short of 3 wonderful years at Swn-Y-Mor Care Centre I am sure that had she not moved there her years would have been cut much shorter. The staff were like extended family, she adored them all. She lived for her weekly Bingo sessions and loved regular visits from Elvis with the amazing activities team. It is a well run home that is very clean. Management are very approachable with an open door policy should we have needed to speak with them. It gave us great peace of mind to know she was so well looked after.
Dad is a fussy eater, he may not always eat the food, from what I have seen though it looks appetising. He likes going out on the bus for trips.
My father recently moved into Swn-y-Mor following a long stay in hospital. He made the decision to move into the home, as he didn't want to be alone in his flat all the time. Since moving in my dad has been treated like royalty, he has been cared for so well, and has a great relationship with the staff looking after him. He stated he now feels safe and cared for. I have so much peace of mind that there are staff on duty at all times to look out for his needs. My father has been given a new lease of life which is something I couldn't do for him. I will be forever grateful for the care that he receives.
My brother was cared for at Swn-y-Mor Care Home, I cannot thank the manager and all of the staff enough for the loving care he received all the years he spent there. We as a family are very sad to say our relative sadly passed away on Tuesday 9th of April. We know he had the very best care there, which helps us to deal with our grief. He could be difficult at times, but the manager and her staff handled him with lots of love and care. What really touched us as a family was the way they dealt with him passing away with so much dignity and love, when the undertakers came to remove him, all the staff were lined up to see him out, he would have loved this.

My mother is very happy in Swn-y-Mor.
My mother has been at this care home for the past 10 months, it has given her a new lease of life. She is 96 years old, was living alone with a lot of family support. However, she looks forward to all the superb activities they provide. The staff cannot do enough for her, she has made a lot of new friends. Recommend this home highly for its cleanliness and facilities.
My mother came into the home two years after sustaining a brain injury after a fall. It was very distressing at the time, but the care my mother has received from the staff has been very reassuring, and I am happy that she is safe and well looked after. The staff have a good relationship with my mother and myself. I feel confident that I could discuss any concerns with them.
