My father was admitted for 4 weeks of respite care, which was most effective and after 4 weeks father was much improved and had regained some strength back enough to desire with confidence to return back home. He has also advised that he would consider returning should he need to in the future. Thank you to all the staff.
All the care home staff were excellent and took great care of my dad while he was having a few weeks of respite care. The liaison officer was fantastic and helped make everything go without a hitch. Dad came out a lot stronger than he went in and certainly enjoyed the TLC and excellent food! Would highly recommend Blossomfield Grange.
I stayed here for 4 weeks respite. I was well looked after. The food was outstanding, good choice of food. Blossomfield Grange is highly recommended. You are made to feel welcome. All in all, I enjoyed my stay.
I should like to thank the staff at Blossomfield Grange for making my father's 100th birthday so very special. My family and I had one meeting with the events coordinator, no fuss, no bother. Everything was sorted with a minimum of fuss but with lots of love. So many of the staff, including the managers, who were in last Tuesday took the time to wish my dad 'Happy Birthday' along with many of the residents. The chef produced an amazing birthday cake and the events coordinator had arranged for Dad's favourite group to come and perform for him. This was a wonderful day for my dad and our family and I should like to thank all the staff, not just for Dad's birthday but for making his stay at the Grange so comfortable. With very best wishes.
We have put our mother into Blossomfield Garnge for four weeks respite care with a view to reviewing her long-term needs during this period. She has dementia (but also has many lucid moments) and has become physically weak due to lack of exercise, not eating properly and poor sleep patterns as a result of spending too much time in bed. It was difficult to persuade Mum to leave her home however after a few hours at Blossomfields, she was calm and accepting of the need for her to get better. This was helped hugely by the attitude and quality of the staff. Everyone made her feel welcome and treated her with a smile and respect. My sister and I visited her for the first few days along with my stepfather and Mum keeps saying how kind everyone is and how good the food is! The routine seems to be working well with the staff encouraging Mum to get up at 8.30, helping her to wash and dress and ensuring she spends time in the lounge rather than staying in her room/bed.
We visited Blossomfield Grange in February 2024 when looking for a care home for my father who was at that time in hospital and quite poorly. We were very impressed with the set-up and reserved the first room we saw! We were still shown other rooms available but stuck with our first choice. Two members of staff visited my father in hospital to assess him and what his needs would be when in the home. A couple of days later he was transferred to the home and thankfully he started his recovery with of course the help of the amazing staff. Blossomfield Grange is and will be my father's permanent residence, they really do care for all his needs. The staff (this extends to all the staff) are always smiling and welcoming, it really does make it a pleasure when visiting and we visit a lot. We have also noted that other people visiting their relatives also appear happy, there always seems to be something going on, and there is a nice vibe about this place!
Really understand individual's needs, and concerns of family members answered promptly. My grandad can be very stubborn and set in his ways, never wanting to join in activities etc but the staff persevere and continually try and coach him into joining in, he's not just forgotten about as so often can be the case. Thank you for taking care of him.
From the first time we visited Blossomfield Grange, when looking for a care home for Mum, we were very impressed. We were able to, very quickly, reserve a room and the transfer from hospital to the home was seamless, very welcoming and comforting and very reassuring that we were doing the right thing. When Mum felt unsettled in the room we had first chosen, we were able to change rooms within the week. Of course, another room may not have been available but we were very lucky. The home is beautiful, well-appointed and managed extremely well. Mum's stay at Blossomfield Grange was unfortunately very limited as a previously unknown issue arose very rapidly and was diagnosed as terminal. She was there just two months. All the staff were excellent. From the managers right through to cleaners and estate staff. The care Mum, and we, received was exemplary. Nothing was too difficult from the least to the most problematic. The end-of-life care that Mum received was calm, respectful and dignified.
My dad has vascular dementia and has had two periods of respite care at Blossomfield Grange. It is a lovely place, the rooms are clean and have all you need and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. When my dad returned for the second respite period, many remembered him and greeted him warmly. I ate lunch there and the food was delicious. I had no concerns about my dad's safety and welfare during his stay. He went out on the minibus for a few trips out which he enjoyed and lots of activities take place at the home every day. I would recommend Blossomfield Grange.
My mom went into Blossomfleld Grange in February this year for 4 weeks of respite to see if she liked it. At the end of this time, she decided to become a permanent resident, which was a relief to our family as we realised she couldn’t stay in her own home any longer. She’s had one or two ‘wobbly’ days where she’s struggled to come to terms with her new living arrangements and we have had to have a few ‘talks’ together, but generally, she says she’s content. Maybe I need to inform the staff when she feels like this. hope that in time she may become a little more involved in the activities but I believe this maybe due to not being able to link the activity she reads about, with the day/time. The staff are amazing! They are so attentive to Mom, they say she is always smiling! They’re also fully on the ball if mom needs to see the doctor. They’re always smiling and cheerful and that means a lot to Mom and the rest of the family.
My mother recently stayed at Blossomfield for respite. After being apprehensive about staying at the Grange, she was in tears leaving for the kindness of the staff and friendships she made with other residents. She enjoyed the full English breakfast! Cream cakes - and playing bingo for the first time at 88 years old.
Needed respite care for a member of family, with Alzheimer's dementia, at very short notice. They managed to get him in on the same day. The rooms and facilities are very good, as are the staff who took excellent care of him while he was there.
Mum moved to Blossomfield from another home in November. What a contrast - Blossomfield feels really warm and welcoming. Lots of activities to meet and socialise with other residents if you want to. Visitors made to feel welcome too. Mum couldn't cope on her own and this is the next best thing to home. All the staff are friendly and helpful. We are very happy we chose Blossomfield.
I'm very pleased with the help and support my father has received from Blossomfield Grange since he moved there in October 2023. The staff are so friendly and caring and everyone is so helpful and welcoming. There is a weekly calendar of events and activities which I know my father enjoys enormously. The bistro is a great place where I can have a chat with Dad over a coffee and a slice of cake! The range of food offered is exceptional and I know Dad always looks forward to mealtimes. His bedroom is lovely and overlooks the beautiful gardens. I know my father is safe and happy and this makes me happy because I know he is well cared for.
My brother and I were impressed straight away with Blossom Field Grange. We looked at 3 other care homes and none of them felt as homely or as friendly. Mom began her stay in late November and it has been a difficult adjustment for her, because of her Alzheimer’s she didn’t realise she needed more care and help 24/7 to be safe. Mom now is more settled and eating and sleeping better, which is good to see.
Mum joined Blossomfield Grange in September 2023 and settled in quickly thanks to the wonderful staff. My brother and I were very thorough when researching care homes in the area (we visited 8) and ultimately chose Blossomfield Grange over the others. We liked the atmosphere - welcoming and homely with a bit of a buzz. What struck us the most was residents were out of their rooms socialising and staff were visible throughout the home so were around if needed. This is still the case when I visit now. I have eaten there and the food is excellent! Mum has short-term memory problems and she is cared for and looked after very well. It's a huge relief to know that she's so happy and I can't thank the the staff enough.
I am very pleased with the care service received for my mother at Blossomfield Grange care home. The management and staff are very friendly and helpful as well and they tend to fulfil the needs of all the residents as the best of their knowledge.
We have found the staff very caring and attentive from the moment we entered Blossomfield Grange. My sister-in-law has settled in well due to the excellent caring environment. Her room is spacious, modern and clean. The atmosphere is very welcoming and inclusive. There are lots of activities taking place every day which residents can participate in if they wish. The Bistro is a lovely meeting place to take time out with my sister-in-law to have a coffee and a chat. All in all it's a happy and comfortable place to visit. My husband and I have peace of mind that my sister-in-law is well cared for 24/7 and is safe and happy.
My aunt was very happy here. She loved the staff and joined in the activities. The room was perfect with a separate bedroom which she particularly asked for.
