All the staff have been much more proactive in recognising and resolving her needs and have always liaised with myself and my brother, keeping us updated with any issues or changes. Mum has been very settled while in Willow Green which is very reassuring to us given her dementia.
Dad arrived facing the end of his terminal illness. The staff were warm, welcoming and efficient. We were made to feel welcome at any time for as long as we liked. We camped out for the next 4 days. The tenderness and care shown to Dad was moving. We were given enough warning to get there at the end to say goodbye. The staff gave us space and were gentle and informative about the next steps. The care was exemplary at every level. That has helped us tremendously at a difficult time. We will never forget what the staff at Willow Green did for us.
The home always has a happy vibe to it. The staff are extremely helpful and always take the time to welcome visitors and family regardless of how busy they are. My mum has always been treated with dignity and respect.
I can't speak highly enough of the outstanding care my mother and father have received at Willow Green. From the moment they became residents, the staff has shown incredible compassion and attentiveness, consistently ensuring their comfort and well-being. They truly go above and beyond, always taking time to understand and accommodate my parents' individual needs with warmth and kindness. It's evident that the team genuinely cares about each resident. They are not only professional and skilled but also have a gentle and empathetic approach, which has made a world of difference for my mum and dad. I have peace of mind knowing they are in such good hands. Thank you to everyone at Willow Green for making this transition as smooth and supportive as possible.
My dad has lived at Willow Green for 6 months following a severe stroke. Current care staff including agency staff support Dad's daily needs very well and carry out recommendations by therapy professionals as often as they can. They are kind, and competent and always make time for Dad. The qualified nursing staff work really hard both with support and respond to Dad's needs as required. The managers quickly resolve any issues that need attention. Dad mostly enjoys the meals on offer and the chefs are approachable regarding modifications. Laundry is generally returned quickly and staff are approachable and friendly. The home is clean, pleasant and generally well-maintained.
My auntie whom I have been carer for in recent years was brought to Willow Green for respite care and assessment. She has really come out of herself since being there and is so happy she doesn't want to leave! She has so much fun with the care staff and cleaning staff, lots of banter and support in all the right ways. She used to have problems around meals but now eats the food regularly and with much enjoyment. She loves the choices and quality of the meals. They have gone above and beyond to accommodate her specific needs including a carefully risk-assessed allowance for her timid, ageing little dog to be with her. They are warm, encouraging and respectful and we're delighted with the care she is receiving. Thank you, to the manager and all the staff for being so amazing!
My mother was in Willow Green for only a few weeks but she received excellent care throughout, all the staff were friendly and helpful and made a hard time much more bearable, I would not hesitate to recommend this home.
Horrific from start to finish. Uncle admitted with his notes locked away which no one could access leading to him spending the night laid flat on his back with aspiration pneumonia. Drinks left constantly out of his reach. No activities I am aware of for him. Lost a lot of weight, we had to bring in extra food because he lost so much weight from the tiny weeny portions he was served. A couple of the carers were lovely but understaffed massively. Clothes constantly lost despite being labelled. Sadly he passed away just a week after getting out of there.
After a lengthy and difficult period of illness, my mum was admitted to Willow Green on our choice. After a very informative and reassuring discussion with the manager and his team, we were assured that they could meet my mum's needs. Over the weeks whilst she was there the team worked tirelessly and effortlessly to make my mum as comfortable and supported as they could. On our visits the staff were always welcoming and very pleasant, accommodating our requests and needs with no problem. My mam passed away whilst in their care and the team was excellent in ensuring her passing was comfortable, dignified and painless. The nursing team were exceptional in reacting to the situation and keeping the family informed and reassured. It is very difficult to choose the right provision for your loved one and for us, this was absolutely the correct place to meet my mum's needs. I would highly recommend the Willow Green Care Home on what we experienced whilst my mum was in their care. Thank you.
Our son was lovingly cared for from March 2023 until he died in February 2024. Willow Green's staff went from strength to strength in the standard of care he received during this time. Everyone from the managers and admin staff, nurses, personal carers, cleaners, laundry and kitchen staff played a part in making his life as cheerful as it could be. My husband and I are truly thankful to everyone at Willow Green.

The lovely staff showed great care and compassion to my beloved Dad in what turned out to be his final hours for palliative care, following a major stroke. The dignity and privacy we were given as a family to spend those precious moments together helped enormously at a difficult and emotional time. They guided us through every step, allowing us the time and space afterwards to process our loss, bringing drinks and biscuits to the living room so we could just 'be'.
