View Full Details of Stoneygate AshlandsFrom the day my dad arrived at Ashlands, he was treated with such kindness and respect. He was extremely well cared for with the staff making sure he was always washed, shaved and dressed. My dad was a huge Leicester City fan, as was a member of staff who even provided my dad with a radio so he could listen to the match when City were playing, which was so thoughtful. My dad was only supposed to be at Ashlands for two weeks respite, but unfortunately, his health rapidly declined and he spent his last few days there. His end-of-life care was wonderful, my family couldn't have wished for him to be in a better place. All the staff there are amazing and very special people. Thank you Ashlands for making my dad's last days so peaceful and comfortable.
Thank you very much for the way you looked after Mum. The team at Ashlands are fantastic. Special mention for two of the staff, you are a credit to the care profession. I fully recommend this home.
As someone new to the care home system I could not have asked for more support in getting my mother installed and settled. The staff are extremely helpful and welcoming, providing a lovely environment for the residents. The management is very supportive and patient, explaining the systems that they work within and what is required in order for them to deliver the services that they provide.
I found Ashlands to be a very good home, especially the new management overall has changed the home. 100 times improved. All the care staff are lovely. My sister is a lot happier, she goes out and does more activities. Her room is nice. I am very pleased. I would recommend Ashlands to family and friends.
Made very welcome at all times.
Great management and even better staff. They all look after Mum really well and I couldn’t ask for her to be treated better. Tough times recently but they have kept us going throughout knowing Mum is looked after.
We were extremely apprehensive when we were told that my mum would need to move into a care home after a devastating stroke, as you only ever hear the bad things about care homes, but we needn’t have worried at all. We were so lucky to find a place for Mum at Ashlands. It’s a wonderful care home where my mum is consistently treated with dignity, respect and patience. She requires full-on care, but every single staff member has made her feel like she is at home with family. It’s a huge comfort to know that the time my mum does have left will be spent in a place where she feels truly loved. Cannot sing the staff praises high enough, from the management to carers to cleaners, everyone has made a really painful time so much more bearable.
My mum went into Ashlands in August 2020; she always said that she didn't want to go into a care home, but unfortunately, she had to go in as she could no longer cope alone at home. She was able to take a few personal items from her home with her, so her room looks familiar. When we visit, she will ask if she is staying here as she loves it, as all the staff are very friendly. Mum is treated like family, she has put weight on, as the food is lovely, she tells us.
Mum has been a resident for seven months and absolutely loves it, so much so, she doesn't want to be anywhere else. I would like to thank the manager and his staff, not only for their excellent care of Mum but also, for the care and consideration shown to us, the relatives. In what must be very difficult times, it seems as nothing is too much trouble. Thanks for the peace of mind knowing Mum is in such good hands.
Stoneygate Ashlands is well run, clean and tidy, and provides a safe environment for my mother. The staff are caring and food seems varied and wholesome.
Mother-in-law can be a nightmare, but they are very caring with her. She is kept very clean and her clothes are smart. They do her nails and hair. She loves it at Stoneygate Ashlands and we are more than happy with her care. Certainly a much nicer home than her previous one!
Very good to see the staff in a uniform and looking clean and tidy (not like some we see on TV) as we have trouble with my mother's behaviour if we take her out. (She has Alzheimer's disease) We have now found it best to leave her at the care home and not visit her. So at first we were apprehensive that she would be a problem by not going out but she has settled well and the staff are very kind and understanding. An excellent home.
Very good - all the people (staff) try hard.
I was so concerned about the poor quality of my mum's care that I moved her out of Ashlands after only 2 months. I took PrimeLife (the company running Ashlands) to court on the grounds that they failed to look after my mum with 'reasonable care and skill'. The judge agreed with my evidence and ordered PrimeLife to repay a proportion of my mum's fees.
