I just want to say how wonderful all the staff are within The Manor Care Home. They are always very helpful and supportive of me and care for my mother in ways I never could. I don't know what I would do without The Manor.
The care provided by The Manor Care Home was of a high standard and carried out by professional staff who were caring and friendly. The home provided varied activities and trips as well as functions to include all outside family members. Food was of a high standard and would be varied to appeal to individuals' taste. A well-run home with friendly and caring staff.
A My Lovely care home in beautiful grounds. My mum was well cared for and treated with dignity by the wonderful carers and nurses. My mum could be difficult but the staff always treated her kindly with a smile on their face. The rooms are kept clean and have recently had an update. The food is amazing and if any resident is a bit fussy they will go over and beyond to make the person happy. Entertainment is brilliant.
Our mum sadly passed away on 3rd January 2025 aged 94. She has lived and been cared for at The Manor for the past 3.5 years. All of the staff have been kind, polite, caring, respectful and understanding and have always treated our mum with the utmost dignity. There are weekly activities including bingo, games, quizzes, animals visiting, singers, painting etc. They go on outings to the garden centre and are often out for walks or in the garden (weather permitting). The Manor is set in the most beautiful open grounds and garden. In the summer they have a BarBQ with a singer and raffle. They also have a wonderful Christmas Party. The rooms are spacious, en suite and most are recently refurbished. The food is exceptional, with a daily varied menu. We cannot recommend The Manor highly enough. The care our mum has received has been exceptional and we are so grateful to all of the wonderful carers and nurses who have looked after her and us over this time, thankyou.
As a family the whole experience has been great, having to select a home for dad was dauntin, he was unwell in hospital and could not go home. Dad is 9 months in now and loves it "like being on holiday" his words. The good is excellent the entertainment is great and a wonderful Christmas party took place on the 20th December! Great care staff.
My Mum has been a resident for just over 6 months. I have found all the staff no matter what their role is as caring thoughtful empathetic and fun. they promote to all this is your home they look to accommodate all requests. They have made what is a difficult time of moving to a care home less stressful for my Mum and for all of us as a family it is a lovely welcoming place. Everyone says hello and smiles and asks how you are. The entertainment quizzes games singers etc is brilliant and picks up all the themes of the time fireworks divalli Halloween Christmas valentines etc and they are inclusive for all no matter what any residents struggles may be all are encouraged to join in if they wish. Mum has made friends with residents and has a laugh with the staff. although she would have always wanted to be in her own home circumstances prevented this now she really feels the manor is her home and she has a much bigger family around her.
Was lucky enough to attend the residents' Christmas party - it was such a great success. Everyone had fun and everything was done to ensure everyone got the best from it. The staff were very attentive to all and made a special effort in their Christmas outfits. I loved it as did all.
My husband and I received understanding and compassion in the early days of settling in. The staff were reassuring on issues around personal care and hydration. The staff were also encouraging in helping my disabled husband integrate with the life and routines of The Manor. The activities team are amazing; they have great empathetic skills.
A great autumn party on the terrace. Everyone was happy and cheerful and the staff were all very caring and helpful. Excellent hosts.
I came to the care home on release from hospital. I was welcomed straight away and could not have better treatment. I feel extremely happy here and hope to make it my long-term home.
Mum really loves how friendly and caring the staff are. She loves the food and just loves being at home. Congratulations to all the staff for hosting a wonderful summer party. We appreciate how hard all the staff have worked on our behalf to ensure we all have a wonderful afternoon. Thanks to all the kitchen staff for putting on an amazing buffet. The food was absolutely delicious.
We wanted to write to say thank you to the whole team at The Manor. Without exception, every team member we have had contact with has shown both us as a family and my mother-in-law nothing but kindness, compassion, and care. It is a joy to see how she interacts with you and how she now calls you all her friends. In addition with my mother-in-law's recent health issues, your constant communication with us on all the actions being taken is much appreciated, and the speed in which you act, again exceptional and much appreciated.
It took a lot to get my mother in the same county as myself. The care home moved quickly. My mum's not been here long. Since arrival June 24 onwards Mum's put on weight, able to sit up, drink and eat herself and communicate her needs. The staff are warm and welcoming. They listen to every need from dietary requirements to activities.
My mother-in-law just moved in today and the care we have received from the first time we visited until my mother-in-law checking in today has been just wonderful. The manager has gone above and beyond to help us with this difficult process. All the team has been exceptional. Thank you.
The staff have been so kind and welcoming since my mother came into The Manor. She is in a lovely newly refurbished room with lovely views across the grounds. The staff are all very friendly and caring. We, as a family are happy our mother is here.

The Manor Care Home is set in lovely grounds with lots of outdoor space for residents to use. I am pleased with the level of care my dad has received since coming to The Manor, the carers are all super friendly and always ready to help. There are activities/games normally every morning and afternoon for residents to join in with if they would like, or they are taken for a walk if the weather permits. I would highly recommend this care home.
