View Full Details of Braemar LodgeA wonderful place, the friendliest of staff, very comfortable, caring atmosphere of warm, kind people. Highly recommended!
My mother has been at Braemar Lodge for over 2 and a half years now and I remain so happy with her care, as well as impressed with the whole team, where - whatever their role - everyone feels committed, caring and involved. The recent move to the new wing was managed with thought, grace, empathy and such patience and good humour - with no indication of the awkwardness and difficulty that staff themselves have experienced as they too adjusted. A very special place, and I recommend it.
The premises and staff are just fantastic. The staff show my mother so much love which is important at the grand age of 93. The move to the new building was stress-free. There is no better place for my mum to love. Safe and loved. 10 out of 10.
Of all the care homes we have visited Braemar Lodge is really the best. The staff are unfailingly kind, friendly and efficient. The rooms are beautifully appointed, very comfortable, light and airy, as are the public rooms. The meals are always tasty and varied. The nursing care is outstanding. All in all, this feels like a home from home and a very special place for our Mother to end her days, We have every confidence in the staff and are grateful for its provision.
My 102-year-old mum has been at Braemar Lodge for well over two years. Throughout that time, she has been extremely well cared for. Facilities and activities are excellent and the staff are brilliant. There are regular communications from the home which keep relatives in touch with what's going on. All in all, we couldn't have expected or asked for a better home for Mum. Thank you.
Mum received outstanding palliative care during her stay at Braemar Lodge. Every member of the team treated her with the utmost care, dignity and respect. The nursing expertise was second to none and the care team were so kind, thoughtful and friendly. Her room was kept immaculate, food looked delicious and laundry was super efficient. This is a superbly run care home, everyone plays their part to make it a really special place. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
As a wife of a patient, I found the care home extremely friendly, always cheerful, helpful and caring. I trusted them completely to look after my husband, who had broken his ankle and was in a cast. I could visit whenever I chose, also friends. Staff were always there and helpful. Excellent chef. It was a two week stay. Happy to recommend the care home where my husband stayed to any of my friends.
My mum passed away early this morning. She was 102 years. She lived in Braemar Lodge for nine months. Thank you to each and every one of you who works there for the care, love and kindness you gave her. What makes a good care home is the people that work in it. I can't thank you enough for the loving care you gave to her right to the end. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Having had to adjust to losing my independence and selling my home, I now consider myself lucky to be in what I think is the best care home in Salisbury. The food is excellent and the staff are wonderful, both caring and compassionate and understanding. The facilities are more than adequate for residents' needs. Recreational activities are also well-catered for according to abilities and tastes. Obviously, every effort is made to keep residents happy and healthy, which is much appreciated.
Braemar Lodge was second to none. Everyone was delightful, kind and nothing was too much. This was all reflected in everything from delicious food to excellent care. We could not fault the home. It was the best care home I have ever been into.
Braemar Lodge went out of the way to welcome my mother and make her feel welcome. All staff are friendly, professional and treat everyone with dignity and respect. My mother had very specific dietary requirements and the catering manager tried very hard to make the meals appetising. If Mum refused a meal, a replacement was brought immediately. The nursing staff responded promptly to any concerns that I had about Mum's health. The care staff are very caring and professional. There was mutual love and affection shared during care. When Mum passed away, the staff treated me with care and compassion, the home is well-managed and well-led.
My partner arrived at Braemar Lodge Salisbury on 22nd November 2023. Unfortunately, his health was not good and he died on 17th December 2024. The care and nursing given to him was excellent. Everyone who entered his room knocked and addressed him by name and talked to him, although after a short time he was unable to reply. He was treated gently, expertly and with dignity. Everything was done to make him comfortable and free from pain. When I left him daily, I knew he was in good hands. Nobody patronised him. The manager obviously guides and inspires her team to do exactly what she states on the website.
My mother always seems happy and well cared for when I come.
Braemar Lodge has been a very good choice of home for my cousin. Her care has been excellent and the staff who are looking after her are very attentive. Nothing is too much trouble. We can visit at any time and are met with smiling faces. There is a wide variety of food on offer and special diets are also catered for and the meals look good. Communication is excellent and I am always informed when my cousin has had a fall or anything else concerning her care. There are plenty of activities on offer and there is also a pretty garden.
I attended the garden party, a lovely afternoon, well attended by families of the residents. The home has a nice, warm, welcoming feeling.
I cannot find enough words to thank Braemar for their help after a night at home after time in hospital. I realised i couldn't manager and phoned Braemar and although it was the weekend, within half an hour of phoning the Braemar manager packed a case for me and brought me here in her car. A wonderful relief and in the help in bringing some of my own possessions.
Felt like a big family gathering. A welcoming party greeted my arrival at Braemar Lodge, introducing themselves. Taken straight to my room by the ambulance transport team. Beverages and food were immediately offered. Essential details on how the home operated were clearly given. During my stay, no request by me was ever too much and always carried out quickly and efficiently.
I am very happy here. Relieved to be free from responsibility of home and isolation. Nearer my daughter still.
As I recently passed 90 years of age, I was finding it more difficult to walk decent distances. Pressure was being exerted on me to enter 24-hour care. The pressure came from both my family and the local medical services. Eventually, in the circumstances, I and my family chose for me to be a resident of Braemar Lodge, where I am very happy indeed. The staff are excellent, always very helpful, accommodating and excellent, as is the food.
Everything is just perfect.
