Any medical issues arising have been dealt with promptly. We are always kept informed of any developments. The staff are always proactive and caring and there are many activities arranged for her to enjoy. This is an extremely well managed home from home.
My mother had to move here at very short notice in December 2024. It was a very smooth move. She has settled into her newly decorated room quickly. She is full of praise for the staff. She is enjoying the variety of hot meals. The activities on offer vary daily and are excellent. No complaints here.
Mum was in above home for 30 months, after a wobbly start she settled in, made friends and got used to the routine. The staff treated her well and took good care of her until she passed.
Taking up residence in the care home was a great relief to Mum. She had previously been struggling with anything physical, including preparation of meals and generally looking after herself. After more than two months, Mum continues to be glad she became a resident and says she is particularly pleased at how kind, considerate and competent are the caring staff. She says the meals provided are good and sufficient.
The staff have always been very pleasant and helpful every time I visit. Everything is well maintained and the home has a friendly atmosphere.
My mother has been a resident at Wolborough Court since February 2024. She has settled well and bounced back from a bad time in hospital with the excellent care given. The manager is a wonderful individual who has an excellent rapport with residents and staff, all of whom are cheerful and very helpful. I have every confidence in the team who are working together well. It's great to feel confident that my mother is in good hands and can enjoy being looked after with love. I particularly like the arrangement of the communal rooms and the range of activities on offer. The quality of the food is also very good, an important consideration.
My mother was at Wolborough Court from December 2023 just before Christmas until she passed away in February 2024. She was cared for in an exemplary way by the endlessly thoughtful staff in all departments of the home from day-to-day care, catering staff, the lady who washed all the clothes and the exceptional manager who not only addressed my mother's needs but also had time for myself when things were stressful. My mother enjoyed the activities and the Christmas festivities which I myself was kindly invited to attend. I could never speak highly enough of Wolborough Court as a residential home.
Mum has settled well, she always looks clean and well-presented on my visits. The new enabler has varied activities scheduled for the residents on most days. The food, especially the cakes is amazing. The menu seems very varied. The home looks well presented with decorations for Xmas, Valentine's, and Mother's Day. The manager is excellent very approachable, professional, and very caring towards residents.
My mum's experience at Wolborough Court has been very positive and her quality of life has steadily improved since she joined in November 2022. Management is good and well led. All the staff are very caring and considerate and are always helpful whenever I telephone. Her room is spacious with a great view over a nearby park and she has been able to add some pictures and furniture to help to make it more homely. Food is great and the kitchen spotlessly clean. Sometimes treats are organised for tea-times. Social activities are also good and it is really great to share photos on social media to view what has been taking place.
Mum's experience at Wolborough Court has been positive, staff are very caring and considerate of her needs. The room is spacious which she has ben able to make homely. This initially was for respite, she is now considering a permanent move due to her home situation.
I have found the local management understanding, sympathetic and caring. I had great difficulties with higher management concerning the transfer of my brother from hospital back to the care home. It took 5 days with my brother being marooned in a busy surgical ward awaiting a decision on whether he could return to his room. This was distressing for him, his family and extremely frustrating for the hospital. The local management team assessed him in hospital on bank holiday Monday (the manager interrupting her annual leave). I was informed within a few hours that he would be able to return subject to the owner and financial directors' agreement. Hence the delay, the apparent policy is to contact by email only, presumably leaving a paper trail! The emails were not picked up! This delay concerned the cost of extra staff cover and the provision of a special bed. This is not acceptable for a caring organisation. The company's policy must change, and a 24/7 decision process should be a priority.
My dad has been very happy at Wolborough Court for over two years now. I do feel they care about him and he feels very lucky to be there.
When my mum started in Wolborough Court Care Home we were very unsure but the care and support your staff gave her was excellent and you all made her feel welcome. When my mum said she only wanted a female carer helping her to shower, you understood her feelings. Your staff are always on hand if we need help and advice. When Mum moved into her lovely room with great views, decorated to a good standard, the only picky thing is the carpet is quite stained. The facilities, e.g. laundry is done to a great standard and you even put my mum's clothes away neat and tidy. Sometimes I go to see Mum in the evening and the bins haven't been emptied from the day before. The toilet needs bleaching daily to keep it fresh. The food and drink on offer is a nice selection. We feel safe knowing the security is good. Since the new management has taken over, we can see a lot of good improvements. Wolborough Court is a well-presented care home. Well done everyone.
This is our first visit to Wolborough Court and our immediate impression was what a wonderful home for my sister. It's very clean, the staff are wonderful, the food excellent and my sister feels very safe, which was our first priority. I cannot thank the staff enough for their commitment to all the residents and how they've made my sister very happy.
Settled quicker than expected. Loves it so much, made friends within hours. I feel happier because I know she is safe and happy. Also, she loves the food. Since she has been here, this is the happiest I have seen her in a couple of years.
Mum has been at Wolborough Court Care for the past six months and has settled well, mainly due to the care and attention she has received from the staff. The staff treat her like they would their own family and we are always welcomed when we visit, made to feel at home and encouraged to be part of her care. The building is purpose built, it is well kept and is generally clean and tidy. Mum has a large room with amazing views across the countryside which she loves. She was able to bring her own bits and pieces which has helped to make it feel like home. The food is generally good and the lunches are varied, the roast on Sunday is always talked about. The staff is really what makes this place, nothing is too much trouble, they are friendly and approachable and the care she receives is great.
Really caring environment and staff will do anything to help. Mum initially moved in on a temporary basis and this is now permanent. The staff treat Mum like family and will help her in any way she needs. The new manager seems to want to make more positive changes for the future that I believe this will only improve the home's environment and care further.
Dad came to Wolborough Court on an NHS placement for rehabilitation for four weeks. However, after initial reluctance, he soon came to the decision that he would like to stay permanently. He and I found the home to be kept in a very clean and welcoming state. The staff are always friendly, cheerful and helpful. With only 20 or so residents, there is a feeling of being part of a family and friends were soon made.
