View Full Details of Park House Care HomeMy mum moved into this home in September, as an emergency admission. She could not have been more welcomed and cared for at what was a distressing time for us all. She is very happy there now, and every time I speak to her she says she feels lucky to be in such a nice place with such nice people. I can vouch for the fact that staff are friendly and caring, the home is clean and welcoming and residents are encouraged to socialise if they want to. All in all a good experience for my Mum and for us.
My sister recently had 3 falls within the care home, which resulted in 2 bleeds on the brain. Immediately after the falls the staff were very caring making regular observations whilst waiting for the ambulance to arrive. Upon return to the care home the nursing home fitted pressure mats to the bed and chair which alarm when my sister gets up.
My Mum moved to Park House on 19th December 2023, my sister and I had to look for a new home for our mum, as we felt she wasn't getting the care she needed. We went around looking and eventually, we decided on Park House. There was a lot of staff on each floor, and hardly had bank staff but in reality, they do need them from time to time we were OK with that, as I feel the residents need the same faces day to day to feel comfortable within their homes. My mum was put on Diazepam while in another home also she was supposed to have assisted feeding which was never implemented so her weight plummeted from a 12st lady down to a 7st 10 when entering the Park House. Now she isn't on any medication and she is back on solid foods which is amazing for her and us. We can't thank the staff enough for caring for our Mum, Nan, and Great Nan she's very happy now always smiling. The carers are amazing there and work so hard with their residents. So it's a big thank you from all the family.
I can’t recommend this highly enough. The fact that Mum was so happy here was a huge relief to the family. She thought of the staff as her friends and, when in hospital, she would say that she wanted to go home, to her friends and her room in Park House. Very kind and caring staff.
My dad has been at the home for nearly two years in Hamilton. All the carers do a wonderful job, are warm and friendly, and treat him with dignity and respect. The nurses on the unit do a great job too. They are always on hand when I’ve had any concerns over my dad’s health, made prompt referrals and always kept me informed of any progress. Thanks to all the nurses and carers for looking after Dad so well.
My mother is happy at the home. The staff treat her well and are open to chat about her with her family. My mother enjoys the food she is much fitter and more alert since her arrival from hospital. I would like my mother to come out of her room more, but she is happiest in her own company and the years of living alone have been a habit-forming experience for her. Thank you for the care being given to her.
My relative became a resident at Park House in December 2022, since then her mobility has declined and is more or less bedridden. The staff have done everything they can to help and look after her and treat her with patience and care.
My partner has now been in Park House for seven years. I am very pleased with the care. The staff are wonderful.
My mother was admitted to Park House Care Home in December 2022, this was by far the worst decision I've had to make it's so devastating having to put your mother in a home, the assistant manager and all her staff at Park House Care Home made this transition much easier with their care and compassion to both myself and my mother! Can't thank them all enough for their continued support and would like to give them a glowing report to say a big thank you.
I moved into here full of worries and dark concerns. Now after a few months, I don't want to leave. The help and care I have been given is fantastic. My advice for the people who view it here, is to take full use here and have no worries. The staff here are so nice and helpful and, just in my own words, it is a very nice and clean place that gives residents a comfortable place to relax and plan their future.
Mum went to the hospital for an appointment while waiting for the taxi to come home Mum stated she was cold. The care assistant took off his coat and put it over Mum's knees to keep her warm. Mum stated it was freezing, above and beyond care, thank you to this member of staff.
My uncle was cared for in Park House Care Home whilst waiting for a package of care so he could return home. During his stay of around 2 months, he was very happy and extremely well cared for by the lovely staff who looked after his every need in a kind caring way. He is now returning home but I'm sure will miss the great company from the staff. Many thanks for looking after him so well.
My experience is all good!
I was resident for 3 weeks and was well cared for by pleasant staff who were very helpful to my needs. Medication was given at correct times. I could not fault them, I have Parkinson's, COPD and also had a fractured rib and fractured left wrist. Christmas and New Year very quiet?
I visited my dad today for the first time. The home had a warm/homely feel the minute I walked in - spotlessly clean with lovely, friendly staff... it was peaceful with a calm environment. First visit, but I knew my dad was in the "right place" somehow... very impressed. His room is lovely/homely/clean/very tidy. He has improved a lot since he has been there... very impressed. So well looked after, it seemed; very pleasantly surprised as I was not keen on his going into a nursing home. Haven't found out about the activities yet.
Park View is very good. The staff are efficient and work hard. The building is always clean. I am satisfied with the Park House staff. I recommend the place to other people.
Our church formed a link with Park House Care Home in the Spring of 2022. Our church volunteers were invited to Park House by their Activity Team to collect local memories from their residents as part of our church Memory Project. Mindful of Covid restrictions, we devised a contact free method of memory collection using specially designed Memory Postcards bearing vintage images of a seaside resort. A seaside resort was a popular resort, and Park House residents shared many happy memories with us. We subsequently organised a Memory Exhibition at Park House, displaying some of their memories and vintage images. We donated multiple copies of our newly printed church Guide Book to Park House. Since then our Priests have visited residents at their request. Last week the church helped judge the resident's Scarecrow Making Competition, helped by two prominent local artists. It was a fun experience, congratulations to all!
Dad was discharged from hospital in a failing condition. The admitting nurse immediately recognised the situation and took action, however, dad's condition worsened despite all the efforts of the staff at Park House. We will be eternally grateful to everyone for treating dad with dignity and respect and care beyond our expectations. Dad only had five days of this wonderful support, but we are grateful that those five days were as good as they could be. Many, many thanks to you all.
My father arrived at the home very close to the end of his life. All the staff treated him with love and respect. The care they gave him was very touching. They were caring, respectful and highly professional. I could not have wished for a better place for my father to spend the last days of his life. I would recommend Park House to everybody without the slightest hesitation. My sincerest thanks to all of you.
I can't praise highly enough the staff and the care my grandfather received at Park House. He was treated with dignity and respect at all times. Nothing was too much trouble. I would have no hesitation in recommending Park House as a care home for a loved one.
