View Full Details of Sway Place4 weeks respite care. Interesting stay as have been involved with nursing/care in a past life. Sway Place met all expectations, well done!
I have been her for 7 years and I can't fault it. The staff are very kind and caring.
Great home and fantastic staff, highly recommend.
I went into hospital after a fall, my husband is very nervous about being away from me, he has various health issues including mild dementia. We have been to Sway Place numerous times and therefore we were happy for him to come here. He was very well looked after here and I felt comfortable he was happy. One member of staff in particular is such a lovely lady and goes out of her way to look after us with her kindness and care.
My Mother has another serious stroke and the professionalism and care given by the staff has been second to none. Not only has the care given to my Mother been fantastic but also the kindness and support shown to the whole family has been amazing at this very difficult time. I cannot recommend Sway Place highly enough.
The whole atmosphere has changed very much for the better over the past few months. All staff seem happy and provide exceptional, loving care. Having access to the app has given us insight into my brother's activities. Living so far away it's helpful to have this facility. Memory care are very good at keeping us informed of any changes or issues.
Fantastic time at the friends and relatives Christmas party. It has been lovely seeing everyone together with loves ones and with smiles on their faces and dancing.
Super warm welcoming place, full of smiles, staff are as nice as can be. Honestly can't stress how lovely this place is.
Ten out of ten, great staff. Very content.
Very friendly and comforting environment.
The care for my Mum has been fantastic. Thank you to all the staff.
From the moment we stepped into Sway Place, we knew it was a special home, we were warmly greeted and made to feel welcome by the customer relations manager and the team, every member of staff genuinely cares and this is evident in the general vibe of the home. Cannot express my gratitude enough for all you do for my gran and the welcome and support we received at a very difficult time. I highly recommend Sway Place for anyone looking for residential care.
My mother-in-law resides at Sway Place and, due to health challenges, couldn't attend her granddaughter's wedding. To make up for it, my daughter suggested a special meal with her grandma a few weeks later, wearing wedding attire to capture photos and recreate part of the experience. When I mentioned this to the staff at Sway Place, they enthusiastically planned a photographer, a wedding cake and decorations to make it truly memorable. Despite needing to reschedule due to illness, Sway Place accommodated us seamlessly and the food was exceptional. The day was magical and my daughter now has cherished photos with her grandma, a vital part of her life. Thank you, Sway Place, for creating such a meaningful moment for our family.
My friend moved into the home in early June of this year. I have to say the home smelled so clean and fresh, with working in the care sector for a long time this was a lovely experience. At first, he found it hard to find his way, but with a great deal of help from the staff, he started to settle in. We found one carer in particular is such a ray of sunshine she bonded with him and started up a good friendship, she is a great asset to the home so pleased with her presence. I feel so pleased that he is in a good place. I can not fault the home in any way everyone is so kind and welcoming, I can see my friend is back to the happy man I know so well. Thank you one and all.
Beautiful meal and party for my nan's 100th party. Well was an enjoyable party. The staff were all lovely and very helpful. And the facilities were second to none. The party room was set out amazingly and my nan had a thoroughly enjoyable party. Thank you.
Today was the Big Care UK Sports Day held at Sway Place. What should have taken place in the gardens was quickly and expertly moved into the restaurant. What a fabulous event and such a joyful occasion for residents (whatever their ability), friends, family and staff. Everyone had a big smile on their face and all the residents were included. One resident kept telling me how amazing the day was and that 'everyone is so so happy'. I've often seen this resident very confused and sad recently but today she was smiling from ear to ear. The home admissions advisor and the rest of the staff pulled out all the stops to make sure everyone was fed the delicious hog roast and looked after. I was so impressed with today's event and will remember my mum's egg and spoon race for a long time! A special mention must go to the home admissions advisor who is an incredible member of the team and brings so much energy, love and care into everything she does at Sway Place.
Excellent care, accommodation, food, orange juice and cranberry cordial. The management and carers are professionals in all their work. I am a temporary short-term resident who had an alcohol problem which is now cured. I will be leaving very soon in August to live independently with a carer (3 times per week, 1 hour per day). Thank you all.
We spent some considerable time visiting a number of care homes in the local area in order to find the very best one for our mother. Sway Place was the one which stood out from all the others. We were most impressed with the location, the beautiful grounds, the layout, airy feel and atmosphere within the Home and the overall set-up. Our second visit was with our mother who was equally impressed. We had the opportunity to meet members of staff both management and carers, all of whom seemed efficient, kind and caring. We were also introduced to some of the residents who all gave a good account of the home. It is well maintained, very clean and tidy and run efficiently. The home admissions adviser went out of her way to identify a lovely room for our mother and having her own furniture and personal belongings helps to make it a home away from home for her. Our mother has been there for two years come September. She is very content, comfortable, well cared for and amongst like-minded other residents.
My husband who has Alzheimer's has been at Sway Place since the end of February 2024. Although I live in southwest London, the weekly drive to Sway Place is more than worth it. My husband has begun to settle in there mostly because of the relaxed and happy atmosphere. The staff interact very well with the residents and are subtle in their approach to the wide range of people in their care. The home seems imaginative in the way it involves the local community in what goes on, it feels an open and friendly place. The home has a huge range of activities on offer. It has really stylish surroundings and a light and airy dining room where the chef provides excellent food. My husband also enjoys being able to enjoy the five acres of grounds and have access to the local shop. It is very difficult to see my husband now in a care home but my family and friends all agree with me that Sway Place is the best possible place for him to be in the circumstances.
I have experience of three other care homes in this area. Sway Place exceeds them all in total ambience. The previous owners and management worked tirelessly to raise the CQC rating from good to outstanding. Some changes to staffing quality and levels may make this status difficult to maintain. We expect best efforts.
