View Full Details of Botham Hall Care HomeAfter living independently a fall changed everything. After months in hospital Grandad came into the care of Botham Hall. My daughter and I were worried how he would adjust but there was no need. The staff are amazing and make you feel so welcome. The changes in grandad physically and mentally have been amazing. Thank you to the amazing team and all that you do!
As a family we have been very impressed with Botham Hall Care Home. My father had had several failed discharges from hospital and we realised he needed more care than could be provided at home. From our first visit we were very impressed with the friendliness and kindness of all the staff. The nursing care that is provided is excellent with detailed care plans for each resident. The rooms are clean warm and welcoming, the food is wonderful & my father is thriving. We can visit anytime and are always made welcome.
Mum suffered from dementia and spent the last ten months of her life in Botham Hall Care Home. The staff were always wonderful and cared for her with sensitivity during her time there. She was encouraged to join in the activities as far as she was able and had a good quality of life right to the end. At the beginning, when Mum was able to walk, the staff always had time to help her walk to the lounge rather than just take the easy way of using a wheelchair and this helped her keep mobile as long as possible. Medical issues were handled quickly and effectively and I was always kept informed which was very important as I live 4 hours away from the home. The atmosphere in the home was always great and the building was well maintained, with continuous activities, even on potentially lower priority items like refreshing paintwork and cleaning windows. I always felt confident that Mum was well cared for and in a light, open environment with wide corridors.
I visit my partner at the home on a regular basis, I have always found the staff pleasant and helpful. The care home is always clean and as tidy as a living/working environment can be. There is a relaxed atmosphere in the home, such that those that want to rest and sleep can do so and others can read or watch television. The residents are encouraged to go to the communal dining room for meals which encourages them to be mobile and provide more of a community atmosphere. The food is well presented and tasty (from experience). All patients, even the 'difficult ones' are treated with respect.
Have nothing but praise for the staff at Botham Hall CareHome. They all genuinely care and are always engaged either assisting a resident or just spending time with them on a 1:1 level. Everyone is friendly and welcoming no matter what time you pop in, there is a great atmosphere throughout. My mum has quite challenging behaviour at times and every effort was made to assist her in any way possible to smooth the settling in period. We have been able to personalise and furnish her bedroom in a way which has helped Mums transition no end.
I have visited a number of relatives in care homes throughout my life. There have been various standards of care, but Botham Hall Care Home, in my opinion, stands out as being by far the best. I feel my mother is treated with respect by the staff, and given the level of care that she needs. We are kept informed of everything necessary. She is clearly happy there and is comfortable in her room or in the residents' lounge. Everywhere is cleaned regularly and there is a high standard of decor. The residents have a good relationship with the staff, given their mental state. The staff are absolutely wonderful.
The care that Grandad has received has been excellent. He has been treated with care and dignity. Thank you!
The staff at Botham Hall Care Home have been amazing with my Grandpa, really respectful and caring in times of sadness. Friendly, happy to help and will always check in to ensure everything is ok. They have been patient, supportive and have their residents at the forefront of everything they do. Thank you to all the truly amazing staff who go above and beyond. It takes a really special person to be a carer, you are all unsung superheroes and my family and I will forever be grateful.
Mum moved into Botham Hall Care Home in May 2024. After an initial two weeks of feeling unsure, Mum quickly settled down. She has been happy at the home, felt safe and secure. All the staff have treated her with care and kindness. We have been impressed with the standard of cleanliness in the home and how the staff treat residents with respect and kindness. We visited often and were always welcomed. Sadly, Mum has died. We are grateful for the love and care she had at Botham Hall.
A lovely clean and caring environment to look after your loved ones. Home from home. Pleasant surroundings and first-rate care. You feel like the staff do care for residents' well-being.
My experience has always been positive. The security is good with staff being vigilant. Staff are lovely, they have time or make time to discuss my relative and her well-being. All, no exceptions, staff are totally devoted to their work and the residents. Staff appear caring, treating residents with respect and dignity, making time to heed any needs. The rooms are always clean and tidy, dining area and living rooms included.
The staff at the home are very caring and helpful. My mother-in-law is very happy there and is well looked after.
Fabulous staff and management. Warm, friendly environment. Kept up to date with all of Mum's needs.
The staff have been amazing with Grandad, they are a credit to the home.
My mum was discharged to Botham Hall from the hospital in June 2022 in a very poor state healthwise. The staff at Botham Hall immediately enlisted medical assistance for her and nursed her back to health even though it took six months. My mum, even though she has dementia, praises the staff for their kindness and constantly tells me how happy she is, as am I. I can't praise this home and staff enough. I, too, appreciate their friendship and kindness.
From the moment my dad went into Botham Hall Care Home, he was treated with dignity and respect. Our thoughts on my dad's care, as a family, were respected and we are always made to feel very welcome. We are kept up to date with all aspects of his care and his care plan is available to read whenever we should wish. All areas of the home are clean and tidy and the decor and furnishings are modern, light and airy. The staff, although always busy, take time to talk with the residents and the visitors and nothing is too much trouble. The staff show a genuine interest in the residents and their families and although my dad's "new home" is Botham Hall, we feel like we are a part of that family too.
My husband has been a resident at Botham Hall Care Home since June. When he first arrived (following a stay in hospital) he was withdrawn and non-verbal. However, after only a few weeks with the encouragement of the wonderful staff, he is now able to communicate and respond to simple questions. All the staff are really friendly and the interaction with both residents and visitors is second to none. Activities are available most days and everyone is encouraged to join in. The home is maintained to a very high standard, communal areas and bedrooms are well-decorated and very clean. I have complete confidence that Botham Hall provides a high quality of individualised support, personal and social care for my husband.
From the very first phone call, I knew that I had to look round to see if my mum could settle here. Every member of staff from that day on have been kind, approachable and welcoming. On day one, my mum was quite emotional and reactive. The staff dealt with her calmly and professionally. My mum settled in well after her initial teething problems. She can be a fussy eater and they are happy to offer alternatives. She always seems happy and in good spirits. She speaks about the staff in a really caring and loving way, comfortable in their company and happy to be helped by them. The staff are always happy to pass information and updates on to me. They are honest and above all else, they genuinely "care".
The care of my father is exceptional. Constant updates and working together with the home, I know my dad is safe and well cared for, this, for me, is such a sense of relief. Thank you so much Botham Hall Care Home.
The atmosphere at Botham Hall Care Home is usually peaceful (although I'm told it can be quite hectic at times!) and welcoming. The home is clean and tidy and nicely decorated. The staff are very friendly and always have time to talk to relatives if needed. Relatives meetings are held regularly where issues (if any) are raised and future plans discussed. My sister is very happy at Botham Hall and is very well looked after. Thank you to all the staff.
