View Full Details of Highview Day CentreMy husband has been attending Highview Day Centre for over 5 years. He was diagnosed with vascular dementia. It was the best thing his social worker has done arranging for him to attend the day centre. It's wonderful for his mental health and well being. All the staff are helpful, polite and nothing is too much trouble when you ask them to do something. They arrange many activities as well as exercising. My husband sometimes will sit and do his puzzle book. He says the food is excellent. He looks forward to Tuesday and Friday, being picked up for the centre. The drivers are very kind and friendly. This also gives me a rest being his carer. My husband has made some friends there. He hopes the day centre will not change and stay as a separate unit.
My husband has been coming to Highview Day Centre for a long time and I have found the staff to be absolutely wonderful. They welcome my husband when we arrive and he is obviously happy to go in. When I collect my husband, he is often reluctant to leave and the staff are very helpful in trying to assist me when we leave the day centre. A full report is always given.
My mum has attended your daycare centre for over a year. She really loved it. On the days she does she is up early and looks forward to arriving. Mum enjoys the lunches, especially the desserts. Mum is a very fond of the staff and her face breaks into a smile when we talk about them.
It is nice to be out of the house, to talk to other people and to be in a different environment to my home.
My mu has been attending Highview once a week since March. She is hesitant to go due to a fear of leaving her house, but the staff are so lovely, and she always has a lovely meal and a nice day at the centre.
I feel comfortable having my husband with the Highview staff. They are very caring and he has a good rapport with them. I am unable to rate several areas as he is dropped off and collected from the door.
The staff at the centre are wonderful. Always very welcoming and caring. I don't get any feedback from my husband but he is always very relaxed and happy when I drop him off and collect him. I can only assume that the food is good as he usually has seconds. It is very reassuring for me to know that he is in a safe and caring environment, for which I am extremely grateful.
My partner has Alzheimer's and goes to the centre every day. Although he is a quiet man he thoroughly enjoys himself there. Even though he sleeps a lot. Every member of staff that I have contact with are amazing, they are kind and gentle and know how to get the best out of my partner. When I have a question and speak with them I am never made to feel like I'm being a nuisance - they are very reassuring and they are an amazing team.
I cannot speak highly enough of the help and kindness shown to my husband whilst he was at the day centre. Also, for all the help and advice given to me - always someone ready to help. They really do care.
The manager and the team are outstanding. I would have no hesitation in recommending them. They go above and beyond to try to make everyone as happy and content as they can be. This is a service of excellence at all times. Thank you so much, you are all totally amazing.
Mum looks forward to coming each time. She has made friends and enjoys the food here. They are very caring.
I have found all staff very friendly and helpful. There always appears to be something going on for people to join in with. It makes such a difference knowing you can have a few hours off while your loved one is being well cared for.
I enjoy coming to the day centre. I did not think I would mind coming here. When I have to go elsewhere, I do miss the day out and I have found staff good and fun. They can be stern when they have to be! All good.
My husband attends day centre once a week. He finds it quite nice and all staff are caring. They organise activities and craft for ones who want to join in. They do their best to encourage people to take part.
Always greeted very warmly and my husband is provided with tea and biscuits on arrival. My husband is very disabled and cannot join in any activities but he enjoys looking at the TV and having a nice lunch.
My nan used to love coming to the centre on a Monday and Friday, the transport was great and the only thing that wasn't as good as hers was the food (but then nan was fussy!) I only live around the corner and used to see nan go by on the bus. All the staff and manager are very friendly and kind, so thank you xxx
