Respite stay 28 days. Well looked after in pleasant surroundings.
I would like to say thank you to all the staff at Chesham Leys and especially to the team leader for the professionalism and care, always looking to improve the well-being and accommodate my mother.
Mum moved into Chesham Leys in February of this year. Like most moves like this, it was a stressful experience for her and the family. The staff at Chesham Leys have made her feel incredibly welcome from day one. They have treated her with love and respect. The team are attentive and brings a sense of purpose and fun to daily life. The speed with which they reacted when she got the flu was remarkable. I'm so happy Mum is there and safe.
My aunt has excellent care in Chesham Leys. Very friendly, professional, and caring staff. The staff are happy to do anything in their power to make things happen. My aunt is very happy here and has lots of friends.
We as a family are so happy our aunt is at Chesham Leys. They look after her so well. My aunt says she loves living here. A big thank you!
The person I represent is happy here and well cared for. He has a good relationship with his carers and enjoys the food. He also enjoys the company of the other residents and the activities - especially the bingo!
My friend is being looked after very well, they have activities and things going on every day. When I have had any questions the nurse and carers are very helpful and do all they can to find out what I have asked. If not when I am here, when I next visit, nothing is too much. I myself have 33 years of experience in care and I would recommend Chesham Leys to others, thank you to the manager and all the staff.
Visited my church friend of long-standing, she was in another care home that was closed down so was understandably very upset to leave for somewhere else. However, she appears to have settled in well and is grateful for the care. I have only been in a handful of times as all this has happened within the years. Chesham Leys is always welcoming a cup of tea usually appears, the room is clean and although there are/seem to be endless bells ringing for ages, the atmosphere is good.
Chesham Leys is a very down to earth, welcoming and professionally run care home. My mum's needs are very well met and I always feel comfortable visiting her. Mum likes to smoke and the carers take her outside when she needs to do this. Mum sometimes says that he food is not very nice but this may be her personal preference, I am not sure. Generally she is very well cared for.
All the staff are amazing in the care and love and attention they give to her. They are very supportive to her son and myself. We never worry about her as we know she is being so well looked after. We are kept informed of all situations.
It is a nice care home with lovely staff. My dad trusts a majority of the staff and is happy. Our family and I are happy as long as he is. The events/activities are good and I am glad that my dad is becoming fast friends with staff and other residents here. Any issues have been dealt with swiftly and we couldn't ask for more. Thank you all for your continued care and support for my dad.
On the surface, everything seemed fine. Two carers were very good. Dad rarely smiled there. He went downhill rapidly. He just kept losing weight. My dad loved his food and drink. Did not make any sense. On my visits, he was very thirsty and always ate food with me. When I was there with my dad's brother the carer came in with my dad's meal expecting me to feed him but because we were about to leave she abruptly said I have got other residents to feed and took the food away. There were hardly any activities. Dad would be left in bed or in his chair with the other residents at the end of the lounge with the carers sat at the far end. They had to bump the residents into the dining room and into the gardens because of the thresholds being high. On one occasion I was very upset because I could see my dad was very ill and one particular carer abruptly said to me there is no use being upset, it is was it is. On my last visit, Dad was admitted to the hospital with severe dehydration and very weak. Sadly passed away.
First class caring team, couldn't have asked for more. Always made sure our mum was comfortable and happy. She enjoyed playing bingo, knitting and doing word search with the friends she made in her short time there. It was lovely to see the staff always interacting with the residents.
My mother was a very challenging person to deal with. The staff have always been so professional, caring and considerate of her needs. I can't thank them enough for all they did for her.
I cannot fault the care and compassion that this care home provides. I feel my mum is so happy here and has made new friends. The manager helped my sister and I with any questions we needed to know. Great staff, great carers. 10/10.
The staff are all excellent, the care and understanding they show to my mother is amazing. They are all fabulous. Five stars.
I would like to say how lucky we were to find a place like Chesham Leys Care Home so quickly. Thank you.
Chesham Leys Care Home goes out of its way to keep the residents entertained and not bored. The staff are extremely attentive and every healthcare need is met. Staff get to know their residents and become friends.
Staff and management are very friendly and approachable. Overall standard of care is very good. I would have no reservations recommending Chesham Leys Care Home. Mum has been a resident now for two and a half years and we have made many friends among the staff and other residents.
Kind staff, willing to help residents.
