View Full Details of Fountains Lodge Care HomeMy mother has been a resident for 4 months. Initially, she wasn't happy being in a care home. The staff have had to deal with her difficult behaviour and abrupt treatment towards staff. She is settled now but doesn't want to participate in any activities. The staff have tried everything to coax her out of her room. My mother is a very difficult person, and they have been working with her.
Mum has been at Fountains Lodge since 2022 due to her complex physical and mental care needs. The care shown has been exemplary, and I have nothing but praise for the nursing staff. The facilities are always clean and well maintained, and the staff show genuine concern for the wellbeing of the residents. I wish all care homes were this good!
Cannot fault the kind and patient staff, great facilities and comfortable accommodation. The team work hard to make every day interesting and it's great to see my Dad feels truly at home, joining in with activities, enjoying the garden and loving the food. Thank you Fountains!
Fountains Lodge is a warm and welcoming place where my mother in law feels comfortable and safe. It is reassuring for us to know that she is well cared for and settled. The staff obviously know the residents well and engage with them in a kind and caring way; a friendly word or a gentle squeeze of the hand means such a lot to mum. We couldn't have chosen a better place.
Christmas Jumper Day. I had a lovely morning with Mum at Fountain Lodge today. There was tea, mince pies, lots of selfies, and laughs. The staff put a lot of effort into the day—everyone had a Christmas jumper on and was very good at making residents feel special and have a good time.
My mother-in-law settled very quickly. She enjoys her room and the many activities. Staff are happy caring and very knowledgable and always have a smile. The home is clean and feels more like a hotel than a care home. We enjoy walks in the lovely garden and drinks in the relaxing reception/cafe area. Residents are put first and foremost, and we can relax knowing that she is safe and being cared for.
I am quite happy living here.
When my sister-in-law could no longer cope alone due to Dementia and Parkinsons she moved to Fountains Lodge. I was worried she would miss her home but she loves it at Fountains it looks on the staff as friends.
Fountains Lodge staff are incredibly caring and have been looking after my father, who has dementia, so well. Facilities are good, everything is extremely clean and residents are treated with dignity and respect. The staff take time to communicate well with family. I am so glad my father is here and is being looked after to a very high standard.
Lovely and caring staff and we are always kept up to date with his activities and doings. Residents all seem cared for and content. Facilities are always clean and homely. Regular group activities to get residents out of their rooms and interact.
Mum has been in Fountains Lodge since May 23 and despite deteriorating due to her dementia, she is really happy and content. All the staff are amazing, it's like having an extended family for mum and us. From the welcome we get from the wonderful reception/office team, and the staff on the nurses' stations (sometimes even a hug), to a friendly chat and updates from the carers, and the inclusion from the activities team. I could not be more appreciative of all they do for us as a family.
The staff at Fountains Lodge are truly amazing at what they do. They are all extremely friendly, professional, helpful and take the time to get to know the residents and their families. Whenever myself and my daughter visit, we are always warmly welcomed by all staff. The care home has a wide range of activities for all residents including morning quizzes, and exercise classes and also often has singers come in to sing to all the residents. They also occasionally go out on little outings, my mum recently went to a garden centre and had lunch there! We were unsure about moving my mum into a home. We didn't know how well she would do or cope with such a big change. But in the short space of a few months, she has settled amazingly, and made friends with a few of the residents there and also the staff. Thank you so much Fountain Lodge and all the staff there for being so supportive and amazing!
Dad has been at Fountains Lodge for just over a year. Overall he receives really good care and the staff have a lovely manner with the residents. Staff turnover is low which I think says a lot about the carers. Staff are very friendly and welcoming through from reception to carers to Activities team. Can't fault the Activities schedule and the engagement - there is always something going on. My dad doesn't always want to go to them but the staff have been amazing in persuading him and I often see pictures of him enjoying himself at activities on the Facebook group. My dad is happy and content and I would recommend Fountains Lodge.
The staff are always friendly and seem to know my mother well.
I am very happy with the care my dad is receiving. I have peace of mind knowing he is content, settled and enjoying himself with all the activities he gets involved in. It is so lovely to see. He has a great friendship with one of the other residents too. The staff are incredibly lovely, kind and caring and go out of their way to care for my dad, and help me and my family too.
My father has been in this home for just over 2 years and he's very happy and settled. He has Alzheimer's. My mother last year and beginning of this year became very seriously ill and then unfortunately passed away. We as a family couldn't get into the home to see dad as much as we would've liked but we knew how settled and looked after dad was at Fountain's Lodge so that helped us so much through that period and made a very difficult time easier for us. The staff on the residential floor were so thoughtful and caring and still are! Would recommend Fountains Lodge to anyone who is looking for Dementia care for their loved ones.
On first coming to Fountains Lodge I was warmly greeted by the reception staff. My husband has had behaviour problems but the staff have been really kind and supportive, feeding him when necessary. They're always ready to listen to any problems. He's enjoying the food and is really comfortable in his room. All the staff are very pleasant.
My husband has been residing in Fountains Lodge for three months, after being transferred from hospital, and it has been very good for him and my family members. My husband can no longer do many things and needs help for almost everything, due to his advanced Alzheimer's and the care and friendship extended to him and myself, by all the staff we come in contact with has been superb. The building is well-designed for its purpose and well-maintained, making sure the residents are completely safe.
Very caring and sensitive staff. Thank you.
Fountains Lodge was recommended to us by some friends. It has really lived up to that recommendation. The staff are kind and helpful and the environment is as homely as possible. We would recommend it to our friends.
