View Full Details of Thames ViewMy cousin has been at Thames View for 7 years and is as happy now as she has ever been.
Since arrival at this carehome, I have been made very welcome & in the time both at home & in hospital become quite lonely. Thanks to activities & staff etc encouragement & participation in many activities have made as I feel many friends & enjoyed sometimes even forgetting my own illness & disposition. So I would like to thank all concerned & find myself very happy here.
My mother has just left Thames View after three weeks respite care because of an injury to her back. This is the second time she has been there for respite and again the wonderful caring staff have nursed her back to health enabling her to return to her home. The rooms are lovely and she really enjoyed the food. She was very well looked after and was back to her normal self very quickly. The two nurses that looked after her were amazing in helping to manage the pain in her back and treating an existing wound in her leg that wasn't getting any better until she went into Thames View and is now virtually healed thanks to their care. Thank you so much.
After 4 weeks in Thames View home, my Father sadly passed away. Whilst we were only able to visit him once a week, we always found him peaceful and pain-free. The staff always had time to talk to us and listen. Two staff members in particular were excellent. Each time we left after our visit, we knew my Father was in a safe environment and getting the care he needed. We couldn't have asked for anything more.
The staff at Thames View have been wonderful, helping my mother to be as comfortable as possible. They have exceeded my already high expectations and continue to care for her in a very personal and cheerful manner. The facilities and riverside views are a delight.
I had an excellent stay. I was admitted after 2 weeks in hospital after a fall which caused a chip on the pelvis which was very painful. My stay at the home was excellent in that I had no pain and graduated to a walking frame and am now home and coping. Everyone was pleasant and helpful and the food was outstanding.
Since arriving at Thames View 15 months ago, my mother's physical and emotional health and general wellbeing has gone from strength to strength. This is testament to how well she is looked after. Following a long hospital stay and no longer able to walk, her independent life has profoundly changed but the genuine care she receives from all the staff at Thames View is excellent, from personal carers through to hospitality and well-being, all have shown such care for my mother. I really couldn't imagine her being anywhere else. The wonderful staff and the beautiful environment combine to create a very special place.
When visiting my husband I am made welcome. The staff are caring and attentive while looking after my husband. He has made some improvements in his health while being here. Seems happy. The grounds are available and enjoyable.
Thames View is in a beautiful location next to The Thames with relaxing gardens to sit in. The staff are caring and treat their guests with dignity. The food and drink are of a high standard. The Bistro coffee area is inviting to use. I am impressed with the care home. As always I wish it could be cheaper, but I don't believe there is care homes better than this.
My mum stayed here for a year and only moved to be closer to me. She had issues after a fall and lost weight and was depressed (only when she came) and now is looking like a new woman. Everyone is so kind, affectionate and helpful. I left with tears in my eyes. Love you all.
I found the service and staff very kind and considerate. The room was very spacious and light with plenty of drawer space and hanging space. The bed was good for the back. Food was excellent, very unusual, but tasty. I could recommend Thames View to anyone needing respite after illness or a hospital stay.
1. Arrival and reception very smooth and transfer to room very good. 2. Comfortable spacious room with good storage and a comfortable bed. Quiet and peaceful (except bells ringing a lot when door left open!). 3. Emergency button works efficiently. 4. Staff patient and helpful. 5. Delicious food. Good that visitors can eat her too! 6. Beautiful grounds - all nice and level.
Thames View Care Home is a beautiful period property set next to the river, the environment created by the amazing care team is both professional and relaxed from all sides. The nursing team are very dedicated and hold very high standards. The carers all have a wonderful attitude towards their residents' care needs, always smiling, hard-working and thoughtful. The catering and house management team are excellent and well-presented.
I have lived here for 2.5 years arriving during the pandemic. It is exactly the type of care home I wished to be. Living in Thames View means that I was familiar with attending BBQs and garden parties, I just walked in and asked if I could stay (I had stayed for one week after an op on my knee). The care and activities are first-class and interesting. Our visitors are made welcome (and fed!). Most of them have asked when can they move in! Please continue to keep the excellent standard but don't price yourselves out of the market.
My father passed away in the residence, and I feel that it was the most comfortable and compassionate situation that could have happened. The nursing staff were friends of both him and me and gave me enormous support in helping him through the last days.
Superb location with good facilities and food. Staff always helpful. Activities are excellent and right for senior ages... they are well thought out. Small rooms but clean and comfortable.
It might have changed its name, but the home of 'compassion' it is still. From the grandeur of the main house to the simpler but still respectful Chapel, everything exudes compassion; from the nursing staff who are kind and efficient, the hospitality team who live up to their name, the activities coordinator who always has a smile to the thoughtful carers; everything is done with compassion and respect for the residents. After their clinical needs are taken care of because that is the forefront of your care plan, your individuality is left to thrive, with everyone's likes, dislikes, fancies and foibles catered for and painstakingly remembered by the staff. From the bustling bistro with its Saturday morning games of bingo and afternoon music concerts with talented guest singers, to the serene and quiet garden with its wonderful views, compassion remains at the heart of the home that was formerly named as such and now resides under its new but just as accurate name, Thames View.
My dad spent around three months in the Thames View Nursing Home, although when he first went in it was called the Home of Compassion. This was a highly suitable name as all the staff I encountered such as receptionists, managers, nursing staff, and care staff all acted with great compassion. Dad was looked after in a very caring and professional manner. I also noticed that, as visitors, my mum and I were treated extremely warmly.
An excellent experience all around, but the food is erratic, both in quality and quantity. Have a problem because I am blind.
A very happy and pleasant atmosphere at all times. Look forward to coming back sometime.
