View Full Details of Seccombe CourtBoth my parents have been cared for by Seccombe Court's brilliant and caring staff. It's enable my mum to return home as she recovered so well after a period in hospital. My dad remains so well cared for after his major stroke.
At Seccombe Court all staff (carers, nurses, domestic, and administrators) are welcoming, friendly, caring, and accommodating with any requests. Residents have a full and varied programme of optional pastimes and activities and can be as social or private as they wish. The building and grounds are superb for safe, independent immobilising, providing plenty of freedom. All are well-maintained and very comfortable.
My 92-year-old mother has been a resident since April 2024, initially an emergency respite placement following a flood at her home and her carers stating they could no longer provide the care needed, this was meant to be temporary whilst I made arrangements for her to be closer to me (it is a 208-mile round trip to my mother's house) but from the initial home visit for an assessment of her dementia and needs to the day I took her there for lunch and left her chatting to the the staff, it has been a very positive experience for Mum and me. I can turn up on any day, at any time to find all staff treating every single resident with compassion, love, laughter and patience. Individual needs and preferences are taken into account, staff really want to get to know your relative. They have arranged external medical and dental visits for her and keep me informed of any issues and it is a joy to see photos of her engaging in the activities. I am reassured that my mother is in the best place.
Seccombe Court is such an amazing place. The staff consistently show high levels of care and compassion, with patient needs always being met, they go above and beyond to ensure every need is met. The facilities are excellent as are the activities to keep minds stimulated and plenty of interaction if needed. The team are also incredibly welcoming to every visitor.
Seccombe Court has an excellent team of staff who are friendly, caring and helpful. The care home is in a good location with a nice garden and accommodates different levels of care according to need.
The staff at Seccombe Court are without exception excellent. My brother made the difficult transition to Insulin dependency during this month involving nighttime visits from the staff to measure sugar levels etc. The care and compassion of the staff made this much easier than anticipated and together with their cooperation, a change in diet too has resulted in a great drop in his previously high sugar levels. My brother is now in a better situation both mentally and physically.
My father is very mixed up and very difficult at times. He is extremely well looked after, always clean and tidy and several of the staff defiantly go the extra mile and beyond.
Seccombe Court is an outstanding care home. My husband was beautifully looked after in the happy atmosphere at Daisy Meadow, where the Nurses and Carers treated him with respect and enormous kindness. The GP must also be congratulated when he went out of his way to explain medical details to us as my husband was nearing the end of his life, and the staff could not have been more supportive during his final days.
My father moved to Seccombe Court shortly before his death, as I was becoming increasingly concerned about his health and well-being whilst living alone in Norfolk. The care and support the team on Daisy Meadow offered were second to none. Not only was Dad adopted into the home, but the support I was given was also exceptional. No one could have foreseen that my father would pass so suddenly, and the care and compassion the entire staff demonstrated was very well received.
The staff at Seccombe Court looked after my mother with great care and compassion during her stay there. She was very elderly and found the transition from living on her own difficult, but the staff tried very hard to make her comfortable and provide her with everything she needed. They are friendly and approachable and were very patient with Mum as they tried to help her settle in. The building and gardens are modern and well cared for, and the location on the edge of the village with plenty of parking is most convenient. I would definitely recommend it.
The staff at Seccombe Court provide outstanding care for my mother. She is treated with dignity and respect at all times. The team are unfailingly supportive of her and our family. This level of care applies on a daily basis, but during a recent severe illness, my mother was given the highest possible level of care, love and attention by all of the staff - we truly believe that this saved her life. The leadership of the management team of Seccombe Court is significant in the provision of such high levels of care, and we have absolute confidence in the team.
My mother was cared for by the exceptional staff at Seccombe Court following a severe stroke which left her severely physically disabled. She required a high level of care and it was administered with kindness and her dignity was respected at all times. The advice I received was first class and the warmth that we both experienced was ever present. They have an extremely tough job and they perform it with skill and a smile. My mother’s visitors were always made welcome and more often than not a cuppa and cake is on offer. The food is excellent, as are the facilities and activities. Dogs are considered VIPs!
Seccombe Court is now home to my 101 year old Aunt. Fabulous treatment, beautiful surroundings. Excellent care and facilities. The staff are very caring, considerate, thoughtful with good management. We look forward to seeing you all again when next we visit Aunty.
Every single time that I have visited I have been welcomed by the staff. Nothing has been too much for them. They were considerate to my friend, and very patient with her. When she passed away they were respectful and so very caring to both her and myself. I am truly grateful for their kindness and support. I would thoroughly recommend the home to anybody. It is worth every single penny.
Seccombe Court has the feel of staying at a hotel. The standard of care, facilities and accommodation is very high. The staff are very caring and thoughtful and they treat residents with respect, and there is always a hug and a smile. There is good consistency of staff on the dementia unit which I believe is important for those with dementia. The variety of activities is excellent and even if Mum doesn’t remember what she has done, she remembers the way it makes her feel.
Both my parents are in Seccombe Court and love being there. During their stay, there have been ups and downs in their health, and they, my brother and sisters and I have found the staff caring, considerate and professional. We are very happy that both our parents have settled in and made Seccombe Court their home.
I just wanted to personally thank all of the carers and staff at Seccomb House who looked after my mum. Their kindness to my mum and the support they have given us was amazing. A special thank you to the staff who kept our spirits up in the final days. She is laid to rest now. My mum was very lucky to have spent time here with you. Thank you.
The team at Seccombe Court continue to offer considerate, competent and thoughtful care. The home is well looked after, consistently welcoming with a warm and cheerful atmosphere. The staff seem to work as a team and show genuine interest in their residents. I feel reassured that my father is comfortable, cheerful and well cared for.
I cannot praise the staff at Seccombe too highly, from the kitchen staff and laundry staff to care assistants and nursing staff, reception team and management; the treatment my dad has received has been exemplary. Dad has multiple co-morbidities, but the staff treat him with respect and dignity at all times. One of my biggest concerns was about continuity of care, Dad likes to build a relationship with his caregivers, but at Seccombe, I need not have worried. Dad has a regular team who looks after him, and he has built a strong and honest relationship with each member of staff. This is important, as elderly folk need to feel safe and reassured - Seccombe provides this constantly. The activities arranged are varied and not demeaning or childish but more embracing the knowledge and experience of the residents. If a problem does arise, for example, a dietary need - it is swiftly and promptly dealt with in a professional and responsive manner. Seccombe has worked their magic for my wonderful dad.
My father has been a resident at Seccombe Court for three months. The home is superb. The staff could not be kinder or more caring. Every department does its utmost to make his life there happy, comfortable and stimulated. He and I are very pleased with everything. Absolutely no complaints whatsoever.
