View Full Details of Hallmark Henley ManorThank you to all the staff at Henley Manor for helping my Dad transition into the home. Even before we arrived the customer relationship manager has been excellent showing us around, helping with all the necessary paperwork and being very responsive to all our questions. On arrival all the staff (and many residents) have been very welcoming, treating Dad with respect and dignity and encouraging as much independence as possible whilst also wanting to understand his preferences. He is still settling in, but I am hopeful that this will be a positive move for him. Many thanks again!
My parents stayed at Henley Manor for just over 2 years before they passed away within 3 months of each other. Having contacted other care homes in the area, Henley Manor stood out, especially with the warmest of interactions, the range of activities on offer and the high quality of catering. Looking back, I can add outstanding care and an especially homely environment to this. The care and empathy towards the end of the journey was also notable. We made the right choice and I would unreservedly recommend Henley Manor.
The admission was smooth and respectfully managed by the Customer Relationship Manager who explained everything honestly. We have been impressed with the numbers and quality of nursing staff and care staff. My mum's needs are responded to promptly. The activities are outstanding in their variety and quality. Really great singers and musicians. My mum was in two homes before Henley Manor and I am so pleased Henley Manor had space as I can't fault the care of my mum. How do reception staff remember all of the residents and visitors?!
From the moment we first visited Henley Manor Care Home, we were made to feel most welcome. To me, it always felt like a 'home' in the truest sense of the word. This was very important as it was a major wrench for me to leave Dad in the care of others. Thankfully I believe we made the right choice. The super team were so supportive in every way, both to him and us. They are so professional & caring. Dad made many friends there (as we did too), he enjoyed the activities which were very varied and always of a high standard. We enjoyed spending time in the garden too, which is perfectly set out with plenty of benches and seats to rest awhile. In short, I believe that Dad received the best care possible in his final months at Henley Manor. It was a great relief to know he was so well looked after.
Having experienced several care homes over the years both with my mum and my in-laws, I can honestly say we found a gem with Hallmark Henley Manor. From the moment we first visited and were met by the customer relations manager, we knew Dad would be in safe hands. This is a really special place, the staff on the dementia floor are outstanding, residents are consistently treated with respect and kindness. We visited Dad very regularly so we witnessed a lot of interactions. The home manager is very hands-on and very receptive to feedback - she is always keen to hear how things can improve further. Activities are thoughtfully planned - from themed days to visiting performers, farmyard animals, musicians etc. - and regular bingo, quizzes, sharing newspapers etc. Families and friends are welcomed warmly as are dogs which was another reason the home worked so well for my dad. The open cafe area is lovely. Henley Manor provided outstanding care for Dad until his passing.
Although my father's respite fell through the experience afforded and extended to me was absolutely amazing. I was lost when I contacted and visited Henley Manor, like walking in concrete. The welcome, support, guidance and passion for excellence totally surpassed my expectations and also evaporated my concerns and difficulties placing my father into respite. The team and the building is a taste of paradise. Congratulations to all your colleagues at Henley Manor. Thank you.
My father has reached the stage where he needs full-time care. I viewed several homes but this one stood out from the rest. Not just because it is so well appointed and beautiful but because the staff are all so lovely to my father and myself. I truly believe that he would not get this quality of care anywhere else. All the staff are happy and that shows in their work and on their faces. The food is outstanding. The socialising areas are big and roomy. The garden is very well set out for wheelchairs and walkers. Every detail has been well thought out. I love it.
Value for money is hard to asses but the care cannot be faulted. Review from J D (Resident/ Service User)
Led by the brilliant general manager, Henley Manor's team are superb. Attentive, caring, considerate and joyous. Not only have we as a family noticed the improvement in our mum with Alzheimer's, but all the other residents. It's been quite extraordinary. We feel very blessed and lucky.
Henley Manor certainly lives up to the high standard Hallmark Care Homes require of their homes. I am so pleased to be living in such a lovely place, super caring staff, so many smiling faces. Nothing too much trouble. Well organised activities, lovely surroundings. My many local friends consider I could not have found a better place to live and hope they will be able to reside here when their time comes. What an excellent recommendation.
Dad moved at a very difficult time when his capabilities were declining rapidly and he was both fearful of all the new faces and quite resentful that he was not able to participate in the activities, benefit from the wonderful facilities or even partake of the exceptional food as he had hoped. He was a complex and often demanding resident. Visiting him from overseas I spent time every day with him at the Manor for a month and saw firsthand how commited all the team were to getting to know and understand him, meet his needs and provide the best and most comfortable care possible. I commend the patience, perseverance and kindness of everyone who cared for him as well as the welcome and support I received in the many hours I spent there. Most important for me was the exceptional communication from both carers and nurses, day and night, keeping me informed as to how he was, especially when I eventually had to return home. I couldn't have asked for more.
Henley Manor is a wonderful care home. The staff are exceptional and the facilities and ambience are the very best we have experienced. We trust Henley Manor to look after our mum and keep her engaged and safe in the best possible way.
Henley Manor is a brilliant care home. The staff really look after the residents and give them the best experiences and quality of life possible. They treat residents as individuals.
I cannot compliment the staff of Henley Manor enough. They are all incredible - from nursing staff, reception, and customer relationship manager to building services staff; every interaction has been warm, welcoming, helpful and considerate. This is obviously the hardest time of our lives - I am so grateful that we are in such kind and loving hands.
All the staff including receptionists, care staff, activity staff, cleaners and managers have shown our Mother nothing but kindness, care and compassion. We were nervous about her going into a care home last September, but we needn’t have worried as she is very content and well looked after at Henley Manor Care Home. The staff have also made us, the family, feel very welcome when we visit and are so friendly.
We were worried how Mum would fit in, but after nearly 8 months she is completely integrated and seems to be thriving. Mum has put on weight, seems to be more cheerful. What is nice is Mum has made friends with quite a few of the other residents. She feels this is now her home. The members of the care team on her floor are so fabulous and respective of her age.
When my father joined the home nine months ago he was at a very low ebb cognitively, physically and emotionally. It has been incredibly rewarding to see him getting to a better place at Henley Manor Care Home thanks to the caring, focused and incredibly committed attention from the team at the home. Thanks to the staff he is safe and happy. I could not ask for more.
I am very happy with the care my nan receives. She seems very happy and looks so much more healthy and very well since being here. I was very unhappy about Nan coming into a home but after seeing how clean, the services provided and how settled and well she is I feel so much more relaxed and happy that she is here.
The staff are wonderful ad many of them great characters. They are always very kind and do their best for us even when time is short for them to get all their work done in a given time. Compare with a care home I lived in Cornwall everything here is perfect. We have a great leader, 2022 was a great year in Henley Manor Care Home, many more to come.
A simply wonderful care home.
