Our friend was a resident in Brook House for approximately four and half years. Over that time we visited her regularly as she was our son in laws mother and very dear friend and family member. We have always been impressed by the daily and nursing care given to her as well s the friendliness extended to us and to her. We congratulate the staff on an excellent job well done.
Our family could never thank the staff at Brook House enough. The care they give our mother is first class. Lovely staff always friendly and laughing making sure everyone is looked after, nothing is to much trouble. How lucky we are to have the best people ever to look after mum.
When I first viewed Brook House I almost cried, I knew straight away that it was the ideal place for my mother. It ticked every box and a few more. Every member of staff that I met were so caring and friendly and helped me realize how much happier my mum would be. My mother has now been there 10 days and has settled in so well, joining in the activities and eating her lunch in the dining room. She is no longer lonely and agrees with me that Brook House is her lovely new home. The staff are always there for both my mum and myself. Making me feel welcome to visit anytime, nothing is too much trouble. All I can say is - thank you to you all from my mother and myself.
After a month in hospital I went to Brook House for respite care. After 4 weeks I renewed for a further 4, after which I was ready to return home with help from a part time carer. During this time I was helped to regain fitness and independence. I cannot fault the staff who were all so kind and supportive. Special celebrations and activities were arranged for Christmas, New Year, my birthday and other anniversaries.
My Mum had a spell of respite care in Brook House following surgery. She was made so welcome and was extremely relaxed and comfortable during her stay. This warm feeling extends to relatives and visitors and it was a pleasure to call in. The staff reacted really quickly and professionally when a post operative complication occurred and Mum was really looked after at a frightening time for her. Brook House has a real family feel and truly does feel like the residents 'home'. Mum is now back in her own home, much stronger and more confident after her stay.
My mother arrived at Brook House for respite care following a hip replacement operation. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming that they made the whole experience a positive one for all the family There is a homely and comfortable feel which meant that following a post op complication and a further stay in hospital my mother was more than keen to return for an extra spell of respite. She has made some very dear friends who were both residents and staff and intends to maintain contact and visit often. Thank you to everyone at BH
Brook House is an exceptional care home. From the very first cheery welcome, we know that it was the right place for our Dad. Everyone who works there is so kind, caring and professional. They took the time to get to know him and treated him with compassion and the utmost dignity and respect. It was a joy to visit him too. His room felt like home and the decor is bright and cheerful. The daily activities are fantastic - a lot of thought goes into them. We celebrated Dad's 91st birthday in the private dining room - great food and a lovely day. The bistro area is a relaxing place to enjoy a drink with your loved one and the garden is beautiful. Dad enjoyed his walks there. The manager and her team helped us too, providing great support and guidance. They made a sometimes stressful situation better as nothing was too much trouble and we are truly grateful for that. They always made us feel so welcome and always listened. We can't thank them enough.
I cannot speak highly enough of Brook House. I had two visits to Brook House 2weeks in January and after 10 days in Hospital 1week in February. The overall feeling of care, support and the homely feeling that the staff give is beyond anything I have felt in any other homes that, over the years, I have visited. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at Brook House in the future.
From the moment you arrive, you are made to feel welcome with a smile and a greeting, the atmosphere is fantastic, I haven't seen any sad faces, all the residents are happy, cheerful and speak to you. The facilities are superb, along with all the staff but most of all, my sister is happy and well looked after. "Brilliant".
First impression when coming to view Brook House, when I first entered and the doors opened, the welcome and the feeling of love and care surrounded us before we met any of the staff. So very different from all the other care home I looked at for my husband. The management and her deputy greeted me and I felt enveloped with love, care and support straight away and understood with the difficult time we were both facing. I feel now there is a future and Brook House has become our family.
Brook House is a very well-run care home in Towcester. The staff are very professional, all residents are treated with the utmost respect and dignity. Meals are on par with hotel food. Recently, there was a 60s show for the residents, put on by a member of staff. Fabulous evening, everybody really enjoyed themselves. It's a joy to visit here.
Whilst looking for a care home for my wife who has fairly complex needs following a stroke, I approached Brook House and found them very helpful with advice and information. I was also very impressed with the facilities and care offered. My wife subsequently moved into Brook House in the middle of October and is settling in well. The staff are very friendly but also professional and I have so far not been disappointed with the way my wife is being cared for at all. The home provides many activities for residents which only adds to the homely and welcoming atmosphere.
A close friend moved into the home and she is very happy with the care and support she is given. All the staff are happy and friendly and we are always given a warm welcome. The manager, deputy and the team go above and beyond in ensuring the home is well staffed, clean, great food and always a variety of activities! We can't thank the team enough for giving our friend happiness again.
My mother, then aged 102, made up her own mind to give up independent living and go into a care home. Although I had no personal experience of Brook House at that time, I knew of several people who had, and who had been happy there. On our first visit, Mum and I had been favourably impressed - we had also been given a good lunch! Within a week we had applied for her to become resident there and she moved in. Eighteen months later, and now 104, she considers her move to Brook House as being the best decision she had made. The staff are wonderful and are totally genuine in the love and care that they give. Her room, and the accommodation in general, is excellent and the food and facilities offered are wonderful. Mum is totally at home in Brook House and, from a son's point of view, it is reassuring to know that she is so happy at this point in her life.
My mother-in-law is very happy in Brook House. She loves her room and spends each morning in there reading her paper which is delivered to her daily, except Tuesdays when she has her hair done in the hairdressing salon. She joins in some of the activities which are plentiful and someone from our family visits her nearly every day. We enjoy coming to the home which is very welcoming with excellent staff, care and facilities. We take my mother-in-law out regularly and she also enjoys being pushed out into the garden at Brook House and spending time with us in the bistro area. Since coming to Brook House, my mother-in-law's health and well-being have improved greatly and we are so pleased that we chose this incredible home for her.
Mum was very happy on her visit which was her first time and made what could have been a daunting experience very comforting and enjoyable for her and her husband. Looking forward to the next visit. Thank you for looking after her.
I cannot praise the staff at Brook House highly enough. They provide excellent care for my Nan, we can visit any time and they are amazing with my children. It is a wonderful place for adults and children alike. When my children expressed an interest in working at the home, the staff at Brook House gave them jobs as storytellers. We look forward to our visits to Brook House, we are there two to three times a week, the facilities are always clean and they have a range of activities available daily. The staff always makes us feel welcome and my Nan is happy here.
My sister has been at Brook House for six months now and as a family, we are so pleased with the excellent service, truly that of a five-star hotel. It took a couple of weeks for her to settle in, she has a beautiful room overlooking the gardens but now she is fully settled and enjoys all the activities and functions. We recently had a lovely birthday party for her and Brook House provided an excellent buffet and support for a memorable day. I would highly recommend Brook House for anyone looking for five-star care and accommodation.
My Mother came to Brook House in March 2023, after my Father died, to be close to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We decided on Brook House because it has wonderful Staff and is clean, bright and cheerful, these criteria are very important to her. The kindness, support and communication for both my Mother and us as a family have been fantastic. We have come to know the Staff and the home very well in the last 18 months and are very pleased with all aspects of care. My Mother is 97 and her health has actually improved since she came to Brook House due to the care and attention she has received, she has put on weight and her leg ulcers have cleared up. She thrives on routine, which is based on her wishes, she has a daily paper and shower and likes having her hair done. She has a visit from one of our family every day and loves to see the great-grandchildren who also enjoy spending time at this excellent home, which we would recommend without reservation.
This is such a great home, everyone there is really nice. There are so many things, this place feel more like home for the residents such as the cinema room, having their own bathrooms and the free drinks machine means that they can offer their visitors a drink which seems like a small thing but really means a lot to the residents.
