View Full Details of Trymview HallMy father stayed at Trymview Hall for a brief period whilst we found him a permanent home. We were so pleased with his time here. The care team are so friendly and patient, especially with residents living with dementia. It was lovely to see the trusting relationships they had built with the residents. Nicola was really supportive to myself and my family. Great facilities onsite including an incredible garden with loads of plants and herbs growing and chickens who are allowed to roam freely throughout the day.
I spent four weeks respite care at Trymview Hall and was completed satisfied with my stay there. Their ambience is great. The facilities are spotlessly clean. Their staff are caring, efficient and cheerful and always greet you with a smile. The food is very good and the chef visited me to discuss what my choice of food would be. The entertainment is a little unpredictable for various reasons but a lot of good surprises. It will certainly be top of my list when the time comes for me to move from my home. Thank you everyone.
My mother moved here almost two years ago, and we cannot fault the home or the team. The whole team were very supportive in getting her settled and she is now very happy. Her room is lovely - she is fortunate to have one of the rooms with direct garden access. The garden is very sunny in summer and is well maintained. The terraces are well-used with a lot of space to sit and watch. The chef and his team do a very good job of providing a varied and interesting menu and my mother comments most days on just how good the food is. The care team on her wing look after them all very well, and my mother says that she can find no fault. They have a wide range of activities and there are outings most days, which seem to be very popular. We are very glad we chose Trymview when we finally had to move my mother out of her own home and cannot recommend them highly enough.
My mother has been a resident of Trymview for two years and we cannot fault the personal care and attention she has received from both the carers and the management staff. In particular, we are extremely grateful for the additional support we recently received during a difficult period of ill health. All staff went above and beyond to support us all as a family, ensuring that my mother was still able to attend the medical appointments that we normally take her to. Thank you to all the staff at Trymview for their hard work and dedication at all times.
Mum came to Trymview in May 2021, a desperately difficult time for her as she was in denial regarding her dementia which was becoming unhealthy and very difficult to manage. The extraordinary level of care and attention from the Trymview carers very quickly restored her health and vitality sufficiently for Mum to start grumbling to her family as usual! Nevertheless, Trymview's patience and understanding went above and beyond in all respects so far as we could see. No one should have to suffer the advances of dementia, however, we are sure as sure can be, that at 97 and now largely immobile, Mum is in the best possible place at Trymview Hall.
I stayed in Trymview for four weeks following major surgery. I found the staff extremely helpful and friendly. Couldn't do enough. The standard of the facilities and food was excellent. The garden was a lovely place to sit and walk in when the weather permitted. I would thoroughly recommend Trymview for respite care.
I've been a resident since March 2024. I am helped with everyday tasks and there are a range of activities on each day which I can attend.
Mum has been resident for nearly three months and the care has been excellent, despite or because of a recent sickness outbreak. The staff team cannot do enough for her. Despite mum's initial reservations she seems to have settled well and has good relationships with her carers. Many thanks to all.
My father has been living at Trymview Hall Care Home now for a couple of years now. The care staff always seem happy, and this is reflected in the care and support they offer, which is very good. The administration staff are excellent and are always there to help. I cannot leave out the receptionists or the activities team who are so positive and enthusiastic. I would highly recommend this care home because my father is happy, relaxed, well fed, looked after, always warm, clean and tidy, and treated with respect. I believe that they have chosen to 'over-staff' and as a result I see the same friendly faces whenever I visit, providing continuity of care. It's a real pleasure to visit Trymview because it's a happy home.
My wife aged 84 had two weeks of respite to relieve me, aged 93, of recent strain and if possible help her. We had attended the Wednesday lunch club many many times and in consequence, we found many of the peripheral staff recognised her and called her by her name when passing throughout her stay. I did not make the best use as I often spent part of a day with her but I was undoubtedly in better shape afterwards while my wife who had gone in with a travellator walked home without assistance or even sticks. Facilities were excellent - she did not though take part in the programmed activities mainly because of a lack of mobility. This home remains our target for when staying at home is no longer possible. My wife fully supports this report.
Very good, staff helpful.
My friend came into Trymview Hall for a trial and to give me a brief rest and because he had an operation for a cataract and needed help with care (drops etc.)
Mum was 96 when she moved in and needed gentle care. The home was everything I hoped for. All the staff seemed to know her very quickly and were all very affectionate towards her. On each visit, I wheeled her down to the lovely café where we both enjoyed our cappuccinos and delicious homemade cakes.
I was invited to join my partner for a Valentine’s lunch. This was a pleasant surprise in itself but the experience was excellent. The room (normally the library on the second floor) was arranged as a cosy and welcoming dining space, beautifully decorated with table lights, rose petals, real roses and a special Valentine's menu. The food was excellent (strong praise to the chef) and the whole experience a delight. I’m sure many people were involved behind the scenes, but I must single out their lifestyle lead for his kindness in making the arrangements and waiting on the tables. There were three couples in the room and I believe we all enjoyed the experience immensely, as well as giving us a better opportunity to chat between us all. I’ve been impressed with Trymview Hall since my partner moved in last November, but this helps cement that feeling. Well done to everyone at Trymview.
I cannot thank the team at Trymview Hall enough for their speedy response to a place for two weeks care for my mum on discharge from hospital. They were quick, flexible and responsive to our request and provided a comfortable, beautifully decorated room within 48 hours of our initial enquiry. This aspect of care is really appreciated at a time when you know your parent can’t manage alone at home, yet is well enough to leave hospital. Thank you very much for your help in this transition.
My wife could not be in a better care home. Weight consistency is terrific. Excellent presentation of food when being fed by a staff member, plus drinks. Awesome patience is shown. The mechanical chair use is massive and ensures movement to be with others. Her mental health is boosted by my visits and phone calls.
The staff are brilliant and caring, the food appears to be lovely, the place is always spotless, and the facilities are second to none. All contact with the home is treated with professionalism, and they regularly contact me with any concerns they may have, or just to update.
My husband and I have been attending the Wednesday lunch club in the cafe area since March 23rd. We have enjoyed meeting the local residents and have been able to visit a friend who is a resident in the home. The staff have been very friendly and helpful.
Mum always looks happy when we visit, she is always clean and tidy. We look at social media daily and view all the activities that the residents are able to participate in. The staff are helpful and always available. The grounds are beautiful with loads of flowers and walkways. The cafe for visitors and residents is fabulous, thank you to the catering staff. The care home always looks clean and smells fresh every time we visit. The care assistants do an amazing job, we see help given when required and residents are treated with respect and dignity. Thank you to everyone who works here, we are so grateful.
I came here to Trymview Hall in February 2023 because I broke my hip and couldn't manage at home. It was for respite care then, but I liked it so much I decided to stay. I have a lovely room with a bathroom and garden where I can sit. The staff are lovely, they care for me and keep us all busy with loads of activities. I am looked after very well, I feel safe and I am very happy, made a few friends here and I look forward to seeing them every day.
