View Full Details of Ribble CourtI can only recommend the care home to everyone. I went there for rehab after a fall and surgery. I could not walk at first but with the help of the physio's I am now walking and home. Regarding the rest of the staff they are the greatest, kind, professional and would do anything for you. The food is good and varied, always meat and veggie option. The activities staff work very hard, trying to find new things for the residents to do. Sunday is baking day and we had fun, not always successful. My stay was very successful.
My Mother-in-law has been a resident here for about 3 years now - initially in the nursing section. She has severe dementia and is so challenging for the staff who are always so patient, and caring and nothing is ever too much trouble. They are angels.
We moved Mum to Ribble Court from another care home because we had become concerned that her care needs had changed and were not being met. Mum settled straight away at Ribble Court. She has now had her medical and care needs reassessed. The care Mum has received has been excellent and tailored to her changing needs. Staff are always kind and helpful and Mum seems so much happier. This has been a huge relief to us as a family knowing we are getting the best possible care for her.
My Father has been at the home for a few months now. All the staff are lovely and treat my Father with dignity and respect, it is like being with extended family. The food is excellent and plentiful. The rooms, lounges, and communal rooms are all well-maintained clean, and tidy. He has settled really well into every day life and I feel very happy knowing that he is being very well cared for.
From the time I first arrived at the home 100% to the appearance and 100% to all the staff.
I have nearly been here a year. The staff are fabulous, caring, can't do enough for you (certain ones). They have encouraged me to get out of bed instead of lying in bed all day. The physios are great, they will do exercises, even if you don't feel like it, they will cater or do what you can or try to do. The activities manager is great, she always gets me helping out and cutting stuff, painting with the residents, also reading, and going on trips out in the sunshine. I could write so much more about the staff, come need medals and are so helpful, they need more acknowledgement about what they do right and the negative things also some of them are very young and treat you like one of their own (grandparent) like a young girl went to the shop for cheese because on the menu it was a jacket potato with cheese, but no cheese was there, so off he own back she went and brought some so all of us could have some finer, which was so kind of her, also she didn't need to do it. She needs the money back also. I have been doing activities with the resident while there has been none in to do it, the staff are very busy, still, I could write more.
My husband was only at Ribble Court for just over three weeks at the end of his life. I could not have asked for better care for him. The staff were respectful, caring, compassionate and very kind to me at this very difficult time.
The level of support given to our family, particularly to my father (who is also a resident at Ribble Court) and myself, after the passing of my mother, has been phenomenal. They have been so incredibly caring and kind, listened, hugged, been tactful, considerate, just brilliant. When my mother had to be taken into hospital, they were efficient and caring. For Dad to be ready to visit her, they made everything easy re keeping his meds sorted for me to give to keep him safe too, and when we got the call to be there with her at the last, the speed and gentleness with which he was helped to dress and get out of the home was something to see. Every consideration has been given to his feelings as he chose which of their rooms to live in, every help to make it feel right for him, and no rushing or fussing him. The nursing staff are wonderful human beings, with a great sense of humour, their love for the residents is clear. So very glad we chose this place.
A very good care home which could be greatly improved by a few things: 1) Quality and quantity of food very poor considering the fees ie fish fingers, beans and chips. 2) Food is cold when it reaches my wife because it has to be carried individually to each resident through locked doors etc. A heated hostess trolley? 3) No proper routine ie buzzer pressed for towels etc.
My friend was brought into Ribble Court nursing home for end-of-life care. Her room was large and spacious with an ensuite facility and was spotlessly clean and had no smell. She had some horrendous sores on her upper body, which needed dressing changes and were extremely painful for her. The staff couldn't do enough for her and were so kind and very gentle with her at all times. She was so upset to leave her little dog behind, so the matron agreed to let us bring her in with us. The activities manager went above and beyond what was expected of her. She even came in on her days off to bring my friend's little dog in to visit and comfort her. She also arranged for the local church choir to come and sing outside my friend's window, and the staff pushed her bed to the window so that she could see. Everybody was marvellous, and the home was spotless. Highly recommend staying here.
Mum was cared for with love and dignity, The care home is full of light and there are several different lounge areas. Working with covid restrictions, staff enabled me and our family members to visit mum as her health failed. The staff kept me informed of various needs and I was so grateful that they phoned me in time to get to see mum at the end. Mum enjoyed some meals and was pleased to have some fruit instead of puddings. The staff gave mum a wonderful birthday 'party' with other residents and I was so pleased to join in the celebrations. Thanks to everyone at Ribble Court and the lady who worked so hard to get the papers I needed. Thank you.
I am extremely grateful to the staff of Ribble Court for providing excellent end-of-life care for my friend. There was a friendly, homely atmosphere at all times. The furnishings and facilities are excellent. I always felt welcome and was amazed at the dedication of the staff who went out of their way to make my friend as happy and comfortable as possible. Communication was excellent. I have no reservations whatsoever. Thank you very much indeed.

I would like to express my thanks to all the staff at Ribble Court for the care shown to my late father. Every member of staff was polite, respectful and competent. Nothing was too much trouble. I always found dad clean and in a relaxed state despite his advancing dementia. I have nothing but praise for the staff and the high level of cleanliness and order in the home. I'm glad dad was able to see out most of his last days here.
My mum moved here in Oct 2021 it is better than the previous one. The staff are amazing nothing is too much trouble even for relatives. Food is amazing. Not seen mum so happy in months. It is lovely to see.
All staff were very pleasant and caring to residents and family visitors. Cannot comment on activities as my husband was bedridden for the length of stay.
My father has been a resident at Ribble Court for several months and overall we have been pleased with the standard of care that he has received. The building is new and furnished to a high standard although to date he hasn't been provided with all of the facilities that his medical condition requires. Staff are caring and attentive although in common with most care homes there are often a number of agency staff who aren't familiar with resident's needs.
Excellent care provided in a sensitive and respectful manner from all staff. The systems that were in place (and still are) to reduce Covid-19 are reassuring. My uncle's illness (Alzheimer's) has been difficult to accept; however, all the staff make sure that each day is a happy one for not just my uncle but for all the residents. Thank you so much.
As a family it is a difficult decision for anyone to make regarding full time residential care of a dearly loved relative. However, many of the worries have been lessened by the quality care of Ribble Court. The facilities are brilliant, the staff engagement with residents and families is excellent. There are activities which are tailored to the individual needs and interests of residents. I would honestly recommend this home as a place of safety and top care for your loved ones. Thank you to all the staff for making my uncle feel happy and comfortable and for always being welcoming to his family and friends when visiting.
