View Full Details of The BelmontMy 85 year old Auntie has been struggling with her mobility the last 6 months and her current home has had to deal with the local river bursting its banks more than 3 times in the last 6 months meaning she has become very isolated. Her NOK had a holiday booked and after a family meeting we were concerned about her being alone for 7 days, so we looked into private respite for 7 days. From the moment we walked into The Belmont we knew this was the right place for her. We were greeted by wonderful friendly staff and beautiful decor. My Auntie really enjoyed her short stay and would definitely consider The Belmont as a permanent home in the future.
Firstly I have enjoyed a week's stay whilst recovering from a hip replacement operation at The Belmont. Initially, I found the Admin staff to be most helpful and friendly. Upon entering The Belmont I found my room to be spacious and comfortable, not to forget being very warm considering the weather at the time, -5! The bed was wonderful, especially with regard to the height. The food was excellent, staff was helpful. Although I didn't experience nursing care apart from a 5 o'clock change on a daily basis, which was always medications. I found the nursing staff to be both friendly and helpful. I would be happy to use The Belmont again!
On the whole, a good respite experience for two weeks, Mum had experienced slightly different levels of care. Carers not always referring to the care plan regarding drinks and the usage of appropriate cups. Eating in the room a struggle due to the lack of a suitable over-bed table. Plates and bowls being too heavy. Clothes not being unpacked on arrival, laundry not returned within a suitable time frame. After departure clothing still missing. The toilet flush system difficult for Mum due to zero arm strength.
The Belmont is a very friendly place, all the staff are helpful and respond very well, the environment is beautiful and well maintained, activities are well arranged and well delivered, staff are knowledgeable in their fields and deliver on it.
Another wonderfull event at The Belmont! The curry evening was just amazing! Thanks to all the hard work of the team we had a very special evening with Dad. For the last two-and-a-half years we have had so much fun at Dad's wonderful home. Thank you all so very much!
My Mum has been at The Belmont since January 2024. I am so happy with how Mum has settled in and now sees the place as her home. She has a suite which comprises of a bedroom, bathroom, lounge/diner and kitchenette. We took in some furniture of her own and she really feels massively comforted by this. The staff are so incredibly caring. They have become her family. Fantastic entertainment schedule with a wide variety of activities to please all tastes. Organised trips out, walks, indoor bowls and golf, pilates, talks, music, singing, cinema, food tastings, crafts, then some one-to-ones too for those who need that extra bit of care. There are four dining rooms serving delicious food all sourced locally and the chef and team supply a varied menu of freshly cooked, nutritional, tasty food three times a day. My mum says it's all delicious. We recently went to a family curry night which was brilliant food and wonderful family time. This has so been the right choice for us.
The Belmont hosted a wonderful 68th wedding anniversary for both parents who are residents. The hospitality was outstanding and guests were welcomed warmly throughout the afternoon. The customer relations manager has been exceptional in her ability to arrange and communicate the celebration. Buffet, drinks and cake far exceeded our expectations. A big thank you goes out to all the staff we helped Mum and Dad celebrate their special day.
My 97-year-old mum needed respite care while we went on holiday, after visiting numerous homes we went to the Belmont, where she immediately said I'm going there. Everything was dealt with smoothly and she had a good time, her words, when she went home we realised that she was happier and healthier in The Belmont. She is becoming a permanent resident from next week which will give all our family peace of mind as she currently lives on her own. She will be sad to leave her home of 70 years but understands and is looking forward to meeting up with her new friends.
My sister-in-law became a resident here in June 2024, and myself, brother and her son noticed within 24 hours the change from her being crestfallen to showing signs of happiness and contentment. Three months on and the change in her demeanour is, to say the least, remarkable. I cannot thank the staff enough for their dedication to ensuring the elderly are shown compassion and ensuring they are encouraged to join in the activities and become fruitful members of the home. It is by far the nicest atmosphere I have experienced when entering a care home (and I've visited a few).
My husband stayed for two weeks respite. He finds adjusting to unfamiliar surroundings difficult. What a lovely surprise he had when he recognised two members of staff, the activities leader and the wonderful customer services lady, both of whom found time to pop into see him. From time to time. I cannot fault the carers who did everything to help him (and myself) with his stay. Everyone was so friendly and caring. I would definitely use The Belmont again. Thank you to you all.
In 2023, our father decided he wanted a couple of weeks respite, so booked him into The Belmont. He and all the family were made to feel very welcome, and Dad was instantly put at ease by their friendliness. After two weeks, our father decided he'd like to stay in, and is still there, and very happy. The home is excellently equipped and decorated to a very high standard. All the staff are very kind, caring and very dedicated in each of their positions, which gives the home a lovely feel to it. We cannot praise The Belmont enough and would definitely recommend this home for their loved ones.
I have just spent 2 weeks at the Belmont following surgery for a hip replacement. I was totally impressed by the accommodation, facilities and activities, food, complimentary treatments and of course the level of care available. Throughout my time there I was treated with the utmost kindness and respect by everyone and the whole experience seemed more like a visit to an upmarket hotel whilst knowing that help was at hand if needed, day or night. I would like to thank all staff, at every level, and of course the other residents for making me feel so welcome and I would not hesitate to recommend you in the future.
Our stay was very good, will moan about the food, not in keeping with the rest of the high standards.
First impression elegant frontage with excellent parking. The hall and reception area very pleasant. Signage to facilities clear. Public rooms are very well decorated with seating and colour schemes restful. Catering facilities on each floor, excellent with linen napery. Glassware and crockery are substantial. Food preparation and quality a little let down with undercooked vegetables, dubious main courses presented with little panache, drinks e.g. juices poor.
I couldn't recommend The Belmont more highly. In every respect, it is the most wonderful home for my father.
My husband has stayed at The Belmont for two weeks' respite and I cannot praise the management and staff enough for their kindness and care given to him. They welcomed myself and all my friends who visited and nothing was too much trouble.
In the time our Uncle has been here, he has come on in leaps and bounds walking much better and eating really well. The management and staff are all wonderful, nothing is too much trouble for them and they take really good care of our Uncle. There are plenty of activities and they try to get everyone involved. The food is lovely, and the surroundings and decor are beautiful.
I find all the staff are kind and understanding this includes the maintenance who has been very helpful with a few issues. It is a pleasant place to visit and there are lots of activities to join in if they want to.
Prior to Mom and Dad moving to The Belmont in Worcester, we visited two other private care homes in Droitwich. The other two have their good points but The Belmont surpassed our expectations. The Deputy Manager then, going back to January 2024. She handled the interview well. She reassured Dad about accommodating his oxygen equipment properly and looking after Mom who has vascular Dementia. The suite they have chosen is brightly lit because of the big windows. The staff keeps everything clean. The catering staff provide nutritious food on clean tables in the dining room. The laundry staff ensure that Mom and Dad’s clothes are properly washed and ironed. The care staff are pleasant and caring. The Belmont has varied social programmes and the staff encourages everyone to join in. I am confident, that the lady as the new manager will succeed in running The Belmont effectively for the benefit of all the stakeholders.
Mum booked into The Belmont for respite initially then chose to stay there permanently. From our first visit, all staff were welcoming. The home is beautifully furnished. The bedrooms are large and have lovely furniture, as are the lounges and restaurants. Sadly, Mum was not there very long as she was diagnosed with a terminal illness. We were kept up to date with her care and the care and nursing staff were just so lovely. The care shown to our family was amazing. We were given a room to use so we could stay whenever we wanted to. We were all with her for most of her last week and we were all offered meals and drinks throughout that time. The staff kept checking up on us to make sure that we were ok. Mum was cared for there wonderfully until the end. It was such a shame that she was not there for longer as she would have loved all the activities that are on offer every day. I cannot recommend The Belmont enough. It is just a lovely home and we were so happy that Mum loved it too.
