View Full Details of Liberty HouseShocking level of care. They have no level of care for vulnerable people. They leave people in soiled sheets, unwashed and looking unkempt. Staff seem to be more interested in their mobile phones. All personal clothing and valuables disappear. Please avoid this place as it is not fit for purpose.
I cannot praise the management and staff enough concerning their patience and kindness towards my mother-in-law. The rooms are spacious, bright, airy and well-equipped. I would have no hesitation recommending this establishment.
My mother has found the transition from living at home into a residential setting extremely challenging. However, throughout the whole process, the staff and management have treated her and my family with compassion and kindness whilst remaining professional.
My wife is very happy in Liberty House. She likes the freedom to live as she wishes. All aspects of the home are good. The only slight niggle is that at times the care staff seem stretched as I imagine most homes are on occasion.
My mother has struggled to come to terms with being in a care home. Staff from management to kitchen staff, to cleaner, to hairdresser have all without exception, shown her such patience, kindness and support, for which our family are so very grateful. Thank you!
Reception staff always greet you with a mile, entertainment staff. excellent church service and singing. Made a lovely decorated room for my mum's 100th birthday. Liberty House manages any small problem that will be dealt with immediately. Staff always cheerful.
To be able to say that my wife is happy and settled means more to me than any fancy description. I can do this with Liberty House, where I have found all the staff from management, carers and domestic staff to be very helpful, kind and caring.
Highly delighted. My dad has been treated with real dignity and wonderful care. The staff are superb, everyone is so welcoming and understanding. Management and all the care team are fantastic, I would recommend this care home to anyone who requires care. It's spotlessly clean, the food is exceptional, it's so lovely to see my dad happy, he feels so safe and cared for. Can't thank them enough.
My 96-year-old dad could not be in a better place. All the staff are unfailingly cheerful and care for my dad with kindness and respect, not always easy I'm sure but they have my utmost gratitude. It is very reassuring to know that he is safe and well cared for.
All the staff are a credit to the company. I have found each and everyone a pleasure to deal with. There was a problem with food at one time, but this was dealt with immediately.
My husband has recently died in Liberty House. He was loved and cared for with respect and dignity. All staff were very kind, supportive and respectful to myself and our family throughout his residence with them. My husband very quickly made Liberty House his home and was very happy and settled there. When I visited him, I was always allowed to spend private moments in his room, which I treasure. I thank all staff from the bottom of my heart for their loving care given to him.
My uncle was cared for in this nursing home. He was very old but when he went in he was a very smart dignified man who used to wear shirts with ties or dikie bows and trousers every day of his life. He very quickly went downhill in his appearance. Within the first week, they lost his glasses, his spenco cushion (that had his name on!) and his very expensive watch! This watch was never found. His beautiful clothes were left in his wardrobe and he would sit in dirty clothes, with dirty hair and teeth. One Sunday we visited him and he was sat in a white t-shirt, which was definitely not his!! I was mortified for him. He quickly got a sore bottom. We constantly complained to the staff but nothing improved. One Sunday we could not get in, nobody answered the door or the phone. I would not recommend this home.
My mother has now been at Liberty House for nearly two years. She is always clean, well looked after and very happy here. Liberty has care staff who treat my mum with respect and dignity. It took my mum approximately five months to fully settle here and I put that down to the fact that she has great care and is looked at as a person in her own right. I am very happy with the care she receives.
My mother-in-law entered Liberty House in April 2021, suffering from several ailments, including dementia. She had previously lived in Kent in a care home that was not particularly considerate of her needs, and some of the staff there were not exactly empathetic. This made her very agitated all the while whilst in Kent. Liberty House is completely the opposite as all the staff are so helpful and caring and understand the individual needs of all their residents. Since being here, my mother-in-law has become more serene and happier despite the pain she suffers with deformed legs. We would not wish her to be placed in any other care home since we are sure she would deteriorate. This is a testament to the whole care team at Liberty House.
Mum is so happy here. She has made friends and I know she is well looked after. If I have any concerns they are dealt with straight away. The staff are brilliant with Mum and always keen to chat and update me when I visit, the activities are varied and keep Mum's mind active. She particularly likes it when animals visit or when she goes out. Thank you all so much.
Mum arrived on September 18th and has settled in very well. She has felt welcomed and well cared for and is beginning to enjoy all the activities on offer. Keep up the good work. Thank you.
Mum and Dad have lived at Liberty House from January 2022 (Mum) and June 2022 (Dad). The staff are lovely and very encouraging to my parents. They treat them with respect and empathy. Nothing is too much trouble. My parents especially like the entertainment. Dad likes to watch, and Mum likes to join in, in particular the singing. The member of staff who runs the entertainment is so lovely and perfect for the job! Mum says the food has improved lately with more variety, is there a new chef? All staff are wonderful, especially the members of staff in reception and others in particular.
I find it caring, friendly and helpful. I like the fact they do activities and put a smile on my brother's face.
Lovely environment, always clean and tidy. Staff members are always friendly and welcoming. There does however appear to be a high turnover of both staff and management. The wellbeing lead does a fantastic job but doesn't have any help so a lot for one person to do, in my opinion. I have had a few issues regarding the personal preferences of Mum's care that are important to Mum and us, but things have improved following discussions with the manager and care staff. Overall, I am satisfied that my mum is happy and well cared for at Liberty House. Thank you.
Overall, Liberty House is a lovely building, and the rooms are spacious and have good ensuite facilities. The staff are helpful and friendly but not enough of them. The food is very processed, with no option for brown bread and limited to two slices of bread at a time. Not enough decent vegetables and rarely any fruit. We did take in our own but not very good for the amount you pay each week. No food first thing in the morning, had to wait for breakfast, which again varied between 8:30 and 9 a.m. Activities are limited, but again we realise this is due to a shortage of staff. Also, each day, the service for drinks was very dependent on which members of staff were on duty.
