Our dear friend who was a resident at the Mews for 2 years was looked after with love and compassion by the team. Her life was beautifully celebrated at an afternoon tea party on Tuesday 21st January. All the team went above and beyond to make it a very special occasion. The food was fabulous, prepared by the Chef and his team. It was enjoyed by all the residents, friends and relatives on Salwarpe. Many thanks to all the team at The Mews
My mother is kept clean and warm, she is well looked after and well fed. She is in a safe and caring environment.
The staff are always very welcoming and smiling. Gentle and caring with residents. Home gives the impression of good management.
I contacted Droitwich Mews needing urgent respite care when my elderly mum became unwell and couldn't look after my dad. From the first contact with reception to the care staff that visited the house to access him everyone was kind and professional. They put us all at ease at a really difficult time. Dad stayed over Christmas, the staff made it special for all the residents. They welcomed my mum and the rest of the family when they were working and not with their own loved ones. The home is spotless, beautifully decorated but it's the staff that make it shine.
Mum recently celebrated her birthday. We visited her in the afternoon and were made so welcome. We settled in the lounge and we were served hot drinks and a beautiful birthday cake was brought out to mum. Her great grandchildren were also given drinks and played with the selection of board games available in the lounge. Since moving in six months ago mum has settled really well and is the happiest I've seen her in ages. There is an excellent programme of activities and exercise classes which mum enjoys participating in. The staff are all friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Moving into Droitwich is the best thing mum could have done.
Things have improved a lot over the last few months. Our relative became a resident at Droitwich Mews in July 2023. Initially, things were very good but then following changes in staff, lack of activities the standard of care deteriorated and it was noticeable in our relatives' behaviour. Over the last few months, things have improved noticeably and there is a happier buzz around the home.
Mum moved into the Mews 18 months ago. I am absolutely delighted with the care and support she has received. In fact I have recommended the Mews on at least 2 occasions. It's not easy visiting mum with dementia but I always walk out with a smile on my face and warmth in my heart knowing that she is in the best place possible.
My mother moved to Droitwich Mews a few months ago and the transformation in her has been nothing but positive. When she was living at home alone she struggled with everyday living tasks and had little interaction with others. This had made her sad and lonely. Her move to Droitwich Mews has been a hugely positive experience. She loves her new home as there is caring, respectful and attentive care for her whenever she needs it, but also an environment where she is encouraged to be as independent as she is able to be. My mother has no regrets about making the move into the Mews, and I can now relax in the knowledge that she is safe, cared for, happy and socialising. My mother participates in tai chi, yoga, art club and more! She gets to go on trips too, which she loves. The staff are approachable and friendly. They tailor their care to the individual's needs and wants and have taken time to listen to the things that are important to my mother and give her opportunities to do things they know she'll enjoy.
Absolutely fabulous care home with supportive, friendly and caring staff, not just for the relatives staying here but for the families too. I can't think of anywhere else I would like my stepdad to be it is such a wonderful place.
Droitwich Mews has a wonderful happy atmosphere the moment you enter the front door. Staff are so welcoming, helpful and caring to both residents and family. Nothing is too much trouble.
Welcoming and caring - Mom admitted 01/11/24 settled so much quicker than we anticipated - still a few tears from life's natural progression determining such care is a necessity - but relieved by the care, warmth and encompassing involvement of the staff and home which she needed. From a son's point of view - such a relief and a joy.
The best care home I have ever visited. This is the standard every care home should aspire to.
Dortiwich Mews is a smart, clean and stylish environment. It feels more like a hotel than a care home. That said, the staff are exceptionally friendly and whenever I visit, I am guaranteed a lot of laughter and positive vibes. I can vouch for the food too, having recently enjoyed a private-dining Birthday lunch. Snacks and hot drinks are always in plentiful supply and the facilities are fabulous (hair salons, cinema, beautician). There's plenty of parking and I thoroughly recommend it!
Very cheerful and lovely environment. Plenty going on. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Also very tolerant of constant questions and requests for help. Food is good. Both my sister and her husband are eating much better than they were at home, and have put on weight. Lots of activities but unfortunately usually have forgotten them by the time I get there.
Very impressed with the warmth and friendliness of everybody we spoke to. The facilities offered are very exceptional more like going on holiday than being looked after. Would not hesitate to recommend.
We put Dad here for respite care so he could recover from a spell in hospital. He is very happy and pleased with the home.
During the period Droitwich Mews needed to restrict visits, we were kept up to date with regular phone calls, which we very much appreciated. Thank you!
Staff are very friendly and I always feel welcome and residents who I see do seem very happy and well cared for by the staff.
The staff are wonderful and really interact with the residents. There are activities on daily and we sang carols around the piano on Monday. All the residents were given a Christmas hat to wear and it certainly got everybody into the Christmas spirit. The food served daily is delicious, as well as the cakes and coffee during the course of the day. I highly recommend the home to anyone looking for somewhere for a relative to live comfortably and safely.
