View Full Details of Goldhill HouseMy good friend went to GoldHill for a couple of months of respite after she took quite poorly. The staff and the manager at GoldHill put so much effort into getting her back to her normal life. They helped her with her cooking and cleaning skills as well as getting her into all of the appointments that she needed to get better. I honestly cant thank them enough for all their hard work. When she was feeling better the manager organised with the manager at Jubilee for her to slowly move back there. She has been doing ever so well since moving back to Jubilee and it's all because of the staff teams at both homes they do such a good Job. Its such a homely and welcoming environment and she really enjoyed her time there.
I have lived here at Goldhill for around 6 months, and in that time I feel my confidence has improved a lot and I am really happy with the support I receive. Initially, I was worried about moving into a new setting, however, all staff were welcoming and made me feel comfortable and safe. I feel safe at Goldhill and the staff are friendly and make sure you are always involved in activities. I have made some new friends while living here and have been out into the community with my peers and staff for a friendly game of football.
I feel this place has been really good for me. I feel I have a lot more freedom and independence since I moved in. Staff helped me get a voluntary job and I work four days a week. I like the outings to the seaside, arts and crafts, pampering and active hour. Goldhill is very clean and we all take part in active hours where we all help clean. I enjoy this because it makes me proud of where I live and my home. My key worker helped me decorate my bedroom and she supports me with shopping. My key worker also took me on holiday for a weekend which I enjoyed. I like it here and I like the staff and management. They care for us. Thank you all.
I have been living at Goldhill House for a year and a half. The building is very clean, I get good cooked meals. The staff are friendly and professional. I like the manager she is supportive and fair. I enjoy the day trips to the seaside and going fishing with my key worker. I feel I have a lot of support and I have had a lot of restrictions taken off me due to the progress I have made. I have managed to stay off drugs and have a supportive social worker and advocate. My goal is to step down to their supported living facility Jubilee House. I feel lucky to be at Goldhill House.
Very happy with the care this home provides. My biggest compliment is the staff. They are caring and kind and go above and beyond always. I also want to compliment management on communication as they keep me informed of any changes or concerns. Goldhill House is always spotless when I visit. It's like no one lives there! Thank you for everything you do.
My brother resides at Goldwell House. He appears to be very happy and settled. I have no complaints regarding the care he gets. If he's happy I'm happy. The staff are very friendly and welcoming as well as the manager. I have regular contact with the home, and as yet everything has been great. My brother has never complained to me about not being happy.
My niece has struggled with her mental health and substance misuse for years. It was always difficult to keep her occupied and for her to work towards achieving her goals. Goldhill House was suggested to us by a social worker we have known for years. I must say when we were invited to view the home by the registered manager, it exceeded our expectations. The home was spotless, super clean and smelt lovely. The staff were so professional and registered manager was so warm and welcoming. Since my niece moved in she has gained so much independence, she can now cook, clean and take medication without help. We never thought as a family she would get here. I feel that Goldhill House is the best mental health rehabilitation facility in Chesterfield! The team at Goldhill House should be so proud.
I have been visiting Goldhill House for a long time now when I am booked in for shifts which I look forward to. Of all places I go to, Goldhill is by far the best. Every single staff member I have worked with at Goldhill cares about the clients, they all work together to help clients achieve their gaols. It is true what they say, happy staff = happy clients because I have experienced this at Goldhill. Management is very supportive and involved. I would recommend Goldhill House to anyone looking for a mental health recovery placement or to work in a rewarding environment.
I like it here. I have not been poorly with my mental health for a long time. I love it at Goldhill House; the staff are caring and know me very well. I love going out to town every day and going swimming with my key worker. The deputy manager has helped me buy tickets for a tribute concert at the theatre. I am looking forward to going to this as they are my favourite band. I have also learnt how to cook and now prepare my meals without support. I would be unwell if I did not have support from the kind carers and management at Goldhill House. I am so grateful my brother and social worker found this placement for me. Thank you to every one of you.
To all the staff and the manageress at Goldhill House. I just want to thank you for all the care and support you have given me since I moved in. You are all very hardworking and caring. Goldhill House is very clean and always smells nice. I have made some friends here, however, I also like to keep to myself. I go out to the local shop most days and enjoy taking walks in the community. There are lots of activities in-house and staff plan trips out too. I also like the food we have and that we get to choose what we want to eat each day. I highly recommend Goldhill House.
I visit Goldhill House regularly to see my client as their advocate. Goldhill is such a wonderful home with very caring staff. It is always clean when I visit and the atmosphere feels calm and therapeutic. I am always greeted with a smile by staff or the manager and offered a cup of tea. The cakes that clients bake with staff are very nice too and always on offer. My client seems very happy here and when I last visited my client was super pleased to have received a certificate as the "client of the week" to acknowledge all their hard work in achieving their goals, (the little things that count). I highly recommend Goldhill House. Keep up the good work all.
This is one of the most supportive placements I have known and the manager, who is also the manager for the service I am in now, is one of the most approachable, caring and dedicated people I know. All the clients who live here seem happy and settled.
I am very happy to be living here, the staff are always here to help. I feel part of the group now I have settled in. I can't praise enough how well things are going. The manager is very polite and takes the time to speak to me to make sure I have settled in well.
I enjoy staying at Goldhill House Care Home because I talk to my friends and spend time with them in communal areas, we also get to go out on activities together but not only that, I can go out independently when I feel like it using my fob key. I get on well with staff and I feel I am supported by them and they also encourage independence and management ensures the house is organised and kept clean and tidy. Staff will support and guide me in ensuring my room is clean and tidy, helping me maintain my independence. The new sensory garden is very relaxing and creates a nice atmosphere. We have a lot of group activities in the day and at night. I attend college on weekdays and it is so nice to know I can join the nighttime baking club with others. During the summer holidays, staff organised a trip to the zoo which I attended. It was a fun activity and great day out. I recommend Goldhill to anyone needing support in gaining more independence. I feel part of the Goldhill family and appreciate my time here.
All staff are friendly and knowledgeable, always have time for you and are ready to help and guide where required. Would recommend this facility and company if asked. Clients always seem happy and well cared for.
I moved in at Goldhill House in May 2022. I don't really ask for too much. My freedom means a lot to me and the staff know and respect this. I go out every day to town and back and use my fob key when I leave and return. Staff involve and offer me to take part in activities at the house and day trips although I am out most of the day and miss out on most of them. I like to attend the morning meeting at Goldhill so I know the plans for the day. Other than that I am no bother, but it's nice to know I have staff around me helping me look after my health and become more independent so that I can eventually move into my own bungalow. I don't really want to take up employment, I want to enjoy my retirement and learn new skills that will help me live safely and independently. I am happy living here and appreciate all the support I am getting.
My daughter has been in Goldhill House since April. There is always a settling in time where the home have to get to understand their new residents which can take time and involve all who support the individual. This time can be very stressful for parents as you worry so for your children especially those with special needs and learning difficulties. However, once this time passed and the initial support from social care and us as parents for our daughter, Goldhill clearly see the areas of greatest need to enable them to support her. They are working very hard to help her meet her own goal of living independently. The manager and staff keep us advised of any new developments and ask us for support that our daughter may need from us. All staff at Goldhill are helpful and pass information and any requests reliably to each other which is very important to us. Thank you all at Goldhill for supporting our daughter.
I've lived here since last year. I like the boss lady and the secretary. The people who support me are very good and nice to me. I enjoy most of the food and the activities that are on every day. I have made friends here.
Very caring and supportive team, very understanding of my brother's needs, he seems to have settled in and is very happy at this moment in time. Hopefully, this is a new start and beginning and they can continue to support his needs.
We finally found the right place for my cousin to get the help he needs! My cousin looks so well since moving in here. He is eating well and is always smartly dressed. He has days when he struggles with his mental health however the staff know him so well and can recognise when he needs that extra support. Staff are always happy and it just feels like such a lovely environment. Goldhill House is also very clean and there seems to be something happening for the clients each time we visit which is lovely to see as a lot of places do not do enough activities for people. Well done to you all for your amazing work!
