I was pleased to see my M.I.L so happy, even after only 1 week of being here. Also, I am happy that she is still able to appreciate such a beautiful setting and caring staff. To see her enjoying eating her meals, is a triumph in itself; after living along and not eating much. I have worked in care homes for 32 years myself, and this for me is above exceptional.
Having just attended a Christmas event, I would like to praise all of the staff on the ground floor from all of the different departments. Everyone was pulling together to make the event as enjoyable as possible for both residents and visitors. Well done all.
From the first day in February 2024 when my mum (91 year old) moved into Chapter House it become her home. From the receptionists, manager, care givers, activity coordinators to her fellow residents, mum feels welcome and cared for. My family and mum's friends have visited the bistro frequently. It's an extension of her home. The many conveniences relieve family members from numerous responsibilities. The cost is very reasonable. Thanks to the Chapter House Care Home.
Warm, caring, welcome. Modern facilities with friendly supportive staff. Varied menu and activities.
10 Day respite break allowing my husband to have some much needed time away. Fabulous care provided with great staff looking after me. The food is excellent and all areas of Chapter House Care Home are clean and fresh. When the sun comes out I love being able to get into the gardens and relax. Thank you.
Always a warm welcome, and the staff all call you by your name. The facilities are all beautiful, the rooms are clean, fresh and tidy, the bathrooms are immaculate. The food smells appetising and looks delicious. My mum is always clean and smells of fresh laundry. The carers are polite, friendly and so very patient with all residents. It's a cheerful atmosphere, we are extremely happy our mum is being cared for here.
From the initial interview on visiting Chapter House, when searching for a home for my husband, I knew that both my husband and I had found the caring environment we had been searching for. All the staff have been knowledgeable of his care needs and have encouraged him to progress and improve his mobility which was very poor on arrival. He is happy in his surroundings and the supportive staff have helped with this. All his daily needs have been catered for and the food supplied has been good, helping him to build strength and mobility. The atmosphere encouraged by management is one of treating each person as an individual identifying their needs and providing the best possible care.
A warm welcome when we arrived at Chapter House, Beverley, and very impressed with the friendly clean environment. My Dad required respite care it was our first experience with this and were very relieved to find such a caring facility available to him. Thank you to all the special staff and management at Chapter House.
We started our research into a suitable Care home place for my Mother in the Spring of 2024, from the first contact we had with the receptionist at Chapter House we were made welcome and the atmosphere was professional and positive. The manager was extremely helpful and spent a great deal of time showing us around, answering our questions, and making us feel valued. We moved my Mother into Chapter House and are delighted with the environment, her care, and the quality of the staff, which are all of a very high standard.
The home was highly recommended for me by social services for stroke rehab. I came for six weeks of respite in a wheelchair and left walking out the door and went home. The care afterward has been great. Everyone is friendly, the residents as well as the staff. The manager lets me come back for the hairdressers and the activities which is very generous.
The warm welcome and smiling residents with their families in the bistro and dining hall of Chapter House says it all. There are several staff always on hand and a real community spirit exists within a "home environment" at Chapter House. The residents feel safe and cared for and know they come first.
My mother came into Chapter House in January 24 and has settled in extremely well. She is loving it here. She says the food is good and the staff are kind and caring. When we visit, it is always a pleasure to come here. Being able to take her to the Bishop and join her occasionally for lunch is a real bonus.
My mum entered residential care at Chapter House in December 2023 and our whole experience has been outstanding. It was obviously a momentous and emotional decision but we felt supported and cared for throughout the process. The facilities are lovely and it’s a lovely setting filled with space, light and vibrancy - a place for people to thrive not just exist. What makes it special however is the staff who are truly wonderful. They are kind, patient and professional, dealing with challenging situations with care, compassion and empathy. From the reception staff who can’t do enough for you through the activities coordinators to the care staff and seniors, they genuinely go the extra mile to make a positive difference. I’d recommend it highly.
A beautiful care home in an excellent location. All staff are attentive, highly trained and approachable. My dad settled very quickly and is in safe hands at Chapter House. I look forward to the better weather when we can make use of the beautiful gardens.
My mother has dementia and was admitted to the Chapter House approximately three months ago. I have waited to give a review because it is more accurate when the resident has settled in. When I visited her today she said she had a lot of friends and she loves the staff. She went on to say she enjoys being cared for so well. This made my year! She does not fling praise and compliments out without very good cause so I am certain that what she says is true. It definitely does take time to settle in but, in my opinion, a few weeks after moving you will see how happy your loved one is. This care home is unusually gorgeous in terms of decor, furnishings etc. but it is not at the expense of good basic care needs. Every time I visit I enjoy the experience myself. There are a lot of activities provided and something for everyone. The manager and the nurse are always available for any concerns. If you’re a relative considering The Chapter House I would say, go for it.
We are very pleased with the efforts of management and staff helping our relative to settle in at Chapter House. They provide help and encouragement on a daily basis, as a result of this our relative is beginning to participate in some of the activities they offer.
My 93 year old mum moved into Chapter House about a month ago, as Mum was struggling with mobility issues in her own home. This has been a whole new experience for her to adapt to, as Mum is fiercely independent. We chose Chapter House because it has the feel of an independent boutique hotel and, despite being very luxurious, it's by no means ostentatious as it's very much home from home. All staff, from receptionists, cleaners, estates, activities, nursing and care assistants, are all very professional and caring and treat Mum with the greatest pf respect. The manager at Chapter House is very much 'hands on', he knows every resident by name and what they like, their interests etc. as well as knowing all his staff. Regular meetings are held with relatives to update on home news. A lovely touch when Mum arrived was a bottle of gin in her room, as part of Mum's welcome gifts from Chapter House, no doubt coming out of her assessment when Mum said she enjoyed a gin! Mum has thoroughly enjoyed having her hair done, along with a manicure and pedicure, all of these services are included in your package. Overall, a most fabulous experience. Although the food could be improved, the choice and frequency and all the drinks/snacks offered in between are great, but Mum is finding the preparation and proportion size a challenge at times.
The experience I had when visiting Chapter House last week was reassuring, upon completing the RESPECT form for my family member. The team concerned took their time and explained the requirements fully. Later that staff took time to outline the activity my family member took part in and it's lovely to see the care and time staff (all staff: carers/management/cleaners/reception/caterers) take with residents.
Really impressed with everything relating to this care home. Excellent modern rooms. plenty of facilities. Love the fact that a set of rooms have their own individual lounge and in some cases a small kitchen. Option of a cinema room and activities to be taken by residents. Staff all seem very professional, caring and attentive. I would be happy to recommend 'Chapter House' in Beverley to anyone and would even go there myself if conditions dictated in the future!
Absolutely amazing place. Staff are fantastic; very caring and helpful. My aunty is in her 80's and spent most of her life in a convent as a nun. This is a new world to her and she loves it. We are very pleased she's here and knowing she's well looked after.
