View Full Details of Heathland HouseI am incredibly grateful for the outstanding care my dad receives at Heathland House. Living with dementia can be challenging, but the staff here are patient, understanding, and truly dedicated to providing the best possible support. They treat my dad with kindness, dignity, and respect, ensuring he feels safe and comfortable every day. The environment is warm and welcoming, and the staff go above and beyond to engage residents in meaningful activities that stimulate their minds and bring joy. It gives me and our family great peace of mind knowing he is in a place where he is not only well cared for but also valued as an individual. I can't thank the team enough for their compassion and professionalism.
This is my fifth month of living in Heathland House. Being in this care home over Christmas couldn't have gone better. The entertainment each week with singers, musicians, and a lovely school choir. Even Father Christmas came around with presents for everyone. I particularly enjoy the 'use it or lose' exercise class, and I am also learning tai chi. As I suffer from macular degeneration the management has found a blind class for me to attend every two weeks and they provide transport to and from the group. The staff are so helpful with all my needs. Cups of tea with biscuits and cake are always available. I have settled in now and it is truly my home.
Heathland House is a lovely care home, not like any other I have seen. All the staff are amazing and so caring. My dad moved to Heathland House following a 4th stroke and the death of his wife, everyone in the home could not have been nicer. He has settled in well and I can relax knowing that he is being well cared for.
A wonderful care home with first class staff and facilities.
Excellent support and welcome to assist our parents with respite and moving to permanent residence.
Heathland House has welcomed my mum with care, kindness and affection. All staff include mum in everything and I feel they have her best interests at heart. She is safe and well looked after. Thank you for all your support
Heathland House provides excellent accommodation and activities for the residents, the staff are friendly, caring and kind.
The preadmission and welcome on arrival were outstanding. The ambience of the whole place was warm, friendly and caring. From top to bottom, the staff are excellent. My son and daughter summed it up by saying that while I was there, they didn't need to worry!
The team at Heathland House are truly outstanding. They take care of the residents with genuine kindness and skill and are very calm throughout. For us as a family, it is wonderful to know he is safe and happy.
From contacting this home to enquire about a respite stay to leaving the home after a two-week stay, the management and the whole team there have been wonderful, and very helpful. Every care was listened to and acted upon and they knew everyone by their Christian names and ensured we were happy. The catering was very good, and the rooms were spacious and clean. Wonderful entertainment was provided in lovely settings.
An outstanding care facility. Not only does it have a very welcoming environment, it treats residents like the very valued parts of the community they are. The staff are incredibly attentive without encroaching on the resident's independence. The activities are wonderful and cover all manner of areas. I could not recommend this place highly enough.
As a respite experience, it is remarkable. The care is unsurpassable and all other residents here are pleasant and friendly.
My aunt has been a resident Heathland House Care Home for over a year now and she has blossomed since being there and is thoroughly enjoying life again. The staff are all very kind, understanding and knowledgeable and look after my aunt with so much love. It was a hard decision to move her into care but we couldn't be happier. She now has a quality of life again, is safe, well looked after, company and fun with all the activities.
Mum moved into Heathland House as she needed 24-hour care. The home is beautiful, well designed to make living in it easy with wonderful facilities. But more importantly what shines through is the love and care given by the whole team, from meeting daily care needs to rich and personalised activities, lovely food, beautifully clean environment which all go towards making it a happy home for Mum and a place where family and friends are welcomed into. Huge thanks to the whole team for all you do.
My mum's 92nd birthday was in May and the staff at Heathland House arranged an afternoon tea party for her and her family of 10 in the first floor dining room which has a balcony. We were greeted with balloons tied to Mum's walker and she looked beautiful. The carers had chosen her clothes and put her makeup on for her. The afternoon tea was laid out on 3 tiered plates with tea or fresh coffee and soft drinks. A lovely member of staff stayed with us and helped us with drinks etc. We were given extra sandwiches and a beautiful birthday cake. I think the staff went over and above to make Mum's day special.
My mother had struggled to live alone for many months with the support of increasingly worried family and friends. A crisis led to us looking at care homes and Heathland was clearly the best. She has now been there for several months and looks healthier and more relaxed. We know that she is getting regular, good food, is getting her meds when she should, has plenty of company and there are regular activities pitched at a manageable level. Most importantly, the staff are all friendly and caring and seem to take a genuine interest in her wellbeing. She has said that ‘she could not wish for better’.
My mother visited the home on a respite basis after an operation on her hip. The staff were very helpful and obliging from day one. The management ensured everything ran smoothly from start to finish, ensuring everything was up and running for my mother's arrival. She really enjoyed her stay here and the carers and staff made her welcome and saw to her needs every day. On leaving, the management again stepped up to the mark to ensure everything went smoothly. Top-notch care.
My mum came to Heathland House after her ability to live alone diminished. Thanks to all the staff here she has settled really well and feels safe and cared for. My niece visited today and said she hasn't seen her nana look so happy for a long time. Thanks to all the amazing staff.
I was made very welcome. I had a lovely room. There have been very kind and caring staff who looked after me. Everything I needed was there for me and the food was excellent. Just the right sort of portions for a person who has been ill. The activities were exceptional and I thoroughly enjoyed them. All that I needed was to push the button and someone will come to see me and I think this is excellent. You gave me a very wonderful 90th birthday and I felt like a queen. I shall miss you all terribly.
Accepting I can no longer look after my husband and trusting strangers to do it for me is the hardest thing I’ve ever done. From the initial visit, the staff at Heathland House have been kind and supportive to us both. They listen and reassure or react to worries and also share the good times when I’m not there. The relief to know he is safe and well cared for in lovely, spacious surroundings, with excellent food and such friendly, caring staff (who aren’t strangers anymore) is huge. We can go out as we please, spend quiet time together, join in activities, or chat in a lounge with other residents/family we have got to know. Heathland House is now a second home that welcomes our wider family and friends too, who without fail are also impressed by the staff and the surroundings. I’m so pleased to have chosen it.
