Well-led management team. Good activities for residents. Consistent staff which is important particularly for patients with dementia.
The nursing care of my husband is very good. The staff are very approachable, myself and visitors are made very welcome. The communal areas are contemporary, comfortable, warm and inviting. The garden and path are accessible and pleasant. They respond positively to individual requests where possible. Moving forward, I would like to see more opportunities for physical rehabilitation.
I came in for 2 weeks of planned respite care following a hospital admission. I've had a really excellent experience: lots of rest, good food, and activities. Lovely environment decor. The care staff are wonderful, really kind, warm, responsive and helpful. Thank you.
We have only praise for the manager and her team, for taking excellent care of our mother during the last few months of her life. Staff attended to Mum's needs with kindness, sensitivity and grace. Nothing was too much for them. Senior staff answered our questions and provided us with the support and reassurance we needed during that time. We are happy to recommend this care facility.
My Mum moved into Adel Manor Care Centre in November 2024 and the whole admission process ran very smoothly. She settled into the home very quickly and she was immediately happy with her new environment. The care she has received has been fantastic the staff are very attentive and Mum participates in many of the activities organized. We are very appreciative of the support Mum receives and she is as happy as she has been very many years.
I as well as our respective families are very grateful for the exceptional care and compassion shown to our mother at Adel Manor. The entire team from day one have been outstanding, providing a warm, welcoming and supportive environment as well as kindness, patience, and dedication to her ongoing care. The facilities at Adel Manor are brilliant and we can't thank everyone in the team enough for looking after our Mum.
My Mum has lived at Adel Care Centre since August 2024. It is spacious, clean and very well-run. The staff are marvellous, treating the residents with kindness and dignity. They are also lovely with the families. There are daily activities and occasional outings. We could not have wished for a better place for Mum to end her days.
We have found the standard of care at Adel Manor to be exceptional. The attention to detail when dealing with Mum's complex dementia has been outstanding. The staff all seem to go the extra mile and the team leader always keeps me informed of new initiatives and changes in medication. We have been incredibly pleased with the care Mum has received in the last year and 2 months.
The staff at Adel Manor Care Centre have been truly amazing. Their exceptional care and kindness made Mum's last months as comfortable and pleasant as possible. They allowed us to have many comforting memories with much joy (including mum singing along with carers) and laughter (we'll not forget mum's rosary beads going through the washing machine) in and out between the tears. They also couldn't have been more supportive to us with lots of kind words, hugs and everyone making sure we were well fed - we felt very much part of the team. The staff took the time to get to know Mum. The huge smiles so many of them got from her when they entered the room said it all! They've all been so friendly and welcoming to all the family and Mum's visitors. We are so grateful to the management team for accommodating us through all of Mum's ups and downs - she was the queen of bouncing back for so long. The support and compassion we received from all staff made a huge difference to us during a very difficult time.
My wife was originally admitted for continuing health care. She became a permanent resident in late 2024. During her residency, I have been very impressed with the care and support she has received. The staff, from the reception staff to the helpers, up to the management, have invariably been helpful and polite to me, and very attentive and caring in their treatment of my wife (and of the other residents, as I have observed on my frequent visits). It has obviously been a hard time for me, but I am very grateful to all the staff for the kindness and genuine concern they have shown for my wife's wellbeing.
We had quite a scare with my Grandma so came and spent several days at the home and both the care my Grandma received and the rest of the family also was second to none. The staff - every member of staff I met could not have done more for me, my family, and of course my grandma. The kindness was everywhere from the manager to the nurses, hospitality, and everything in between, nothing was too much trouble. They made a very difficult few days so much easier and calmer. I couldn't think of anywhere better my grandma could be. Huge thanks.
Lovely staff who are so personable. They all have such a caring manner and seem to know the residents very well. Not only was the care offered to the residents but all so to family members visiting. They went above and beyond to ensure we (the family) were looked after offering beds and food etc.
Best decision ever! Mum (like most elderly patients) felt "invisible" in hospital, it is the opposite at Adel Manor. Her care is person-centred and her needs are well met. She feels a valued member of this community and thrives in this warm, caring environment. Family members get the same warm welcome from staff. Our questions are answered, and our comments are listened to and included in Mum's care plan making us feel "part of the team" too. Staff greets mum with a smile, her name, and light-hearted banter. Her face lights up at every interaction with them and she regards them as extended family. Great care is taken with everything even the laundry! Mum tells visitors the food is wonderful too. The staff make great use of technology leading to excellent communication between themselves and between staff and families. Our experience is not unique - other families say the same about the care here. We can honestly say moving mum to Adel Manor is the best decision we ever made.
I have been very impressed with the care and support offered to the resident and her immediate family. I have visited several times over the month since my friend came to the care home and have witnessed firsthand the high standard of care and commitment to well-being in its broadest sense that epitomises the approach at Adel Care Home. As a retired nurse I have experience with what quality care looks like and I would not hesitate to recommend this care home to others. These comments relate to my general observation but in particular recent days when her condition worsened.
Although my mother-in-law was only a resident for five weeks, all the staff, from the receptionist right through to the care assistants were wonderful. They cared not only for my mother-in-law but for us as a family. The care my mother-in-law received was second to none, they treated her with dignity and kept us informed of any changes.
My mum left the hospital in a very fragile state and was welcomed with open arms. All the staff were so very friendly, helpful and professional. As a family, we felt very happy that she was in the best place possible. Now that Mum is more stable, she is able to enjoy good food, activities in the home, trips out and generally excellent care. The medical care has been superb and there is excellent communication between the home and the resident's family. We could not recommend Adel Manor Care Centre more highly.
My father has Alzheimer's disease and has been a resident at Adel Manor for over a year. His care is excellent - he is treated with kindness, respect and dignity. The staff are friendly and respectful. Communication with relatives is very good. I am extremely happy with the care my dad receives.
From the moment of arrival all the way to meeting Mum I am continually met and greeted by friendly and caring staff. Mum's care, health and wellbeing is foremost in all decision-making.
Thank you for looking after Mum so well. Your great care has been very much appreciated at this difficult time. You also looked after the whole family, which was lovely, and we will always remember. Thank you so much.
A total shambles and poorly managed place. No bedding was changed in four weeks for my mother and when I asked staff about this they replaced her sheet with a quilt cover. Room was only cleaned once in the six weeks she was there and the antique vase we brought in vanished within 24 hours. Another occasion was when my mother asked for assistance to go to the toilet she was told that they are busy and to wee in her pad. I will be putting a review on another review platform.
