View Full Details of White House Care HomeA very well-run home. My mother was very ill when she went in but recovered (not expected) and was able to go home. Amazing staff, clean and secure. A big thank you to all staff!
Father was here for three weeks respite due to a fall. He received all the care and help enabling him to return home after. The care he was given was superb and can't thank them enough! All the staff are lovely and dedicated to giving each person the respect and help they need, including family members.
Exceptional care and consideration. My father-in-law is always shown the highest levels of care by thoughtful staff who go the 'extra mile' and more.
We took advantage of the respite package for Mum here to facilitate an adhoc holiday. We were very nervous about leaving her, but the home manager reassured us and the carers were affectionate, fun and efficient. Also one staff member in particular whose chat calmed Mum right down. The bedrooms with bathrooms and all the public rooms are of top-class hotel standard. The food is something else, (amazing chef) top restaurant quality with a good choice and you can ask to have lunch with your loved one in a white tablecloth restaurant setting, a real treat. The whole atmosphere is to provide what the resident wishes with attractive sitting areas and activities. The qualified nurse is caring and attentive and calmed Mum right down with her lovely smile. She is an asset. Recommend for anyone considering respite.
Mother-in-Law has become much more settled and calmer.
When we first went to the home to see if it was suitable for Mum we were impressed with not only the facilities but the staff, they are caring and kind to both residents and visitors. Mum found the change difficult when she went into the home but the staff helped her cope and she has now settled well. We know this home was the right choice for Mum and would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone looking for a care home. We cannot thank the staff enough for all they have done for both Mum and us.
When I met the manager, I felt that this was the right place for Mum. Although the environment was lovely, it was the ethos that was most important, and she was knowledgeable and reassuring about the care they offered. My mum was only with us for two weeks before sadly passing away, however, the care that she received, as well as the care we as a family received, was outstanding. During the two weeks I was at the home every day all day and during that time I was able to observe first-hand the way in which the staff cared for the residents. Even in challenging situations, there was a sense of calm and patience. Special thanks to the staff member who always made sure I had what I needed and the carer who gave Mum her last shower and washed her hair, when she was so weak, and the staff who listened when I needed an offload. I can't thank all of the team, from the management down to the lovely cleaners enough. You made a very difficult situation easier. Thank you.
There appears to be nothing the staff will not do, always responding in a positive and happy manner. The home feels fresh and airy and is always clean and tidy. It is always a difficult decision where to place a loved one but when they say they are “in the best place and well looked after” it is very reassuring. Whilst it would be wonderful to believe all homes offer the same standard of care, news reports prove this isn’t the case. We consider ourselves very fortunate.
Always really happy to do a review for White House Care Home and all the team here. They are a great team, smiling and very friendly to us all as a family. Mum is very comfortable and they listen when she has a problem or a comment about anything. Her mental health is much improved by being surrounded by such happy and positive people. Thank you.
The White House Care Home is outstanding. The members of staff, to a person, are skilled and kind to everyone including families. Nothing is too much trouble and any request is cheerfully and promptly met. The highest of standards cleanliness are always maintained. As well as physical care, the staff go above and beyond to stimulate, inspire and entertain residents with a range of interesting activities and performances.
My nan and grandad were in White House Care Home. Grandad February 2023 to May 2023, when Grandad died they have looked after my nan ever since. They are kind and friendly always to us as a family and we know Nan is safe and well looked after. We love to visit and hear all the activities she has been doing. The staff are all smiley and friendly.
My grandmother is staying at White House Care Home, she has been there for a year now. My grandad was there before he died in May last year. I don't live locally so it's good to know how well looked after she is and when I go to visit her everyone is so welcoming to me. My mum and aunty visit a lot but the staff know me too. They always seem to be caring and kind both to my grandmother and also to my mum and dad as well.
The White House has been extremely welcoming and caring from day 1. My grandad moved in 10 months ago and, from the first time we walked in, to this day the standards haven’t slipped. Everything is clean, fresh and well-presented – there are thoughtful touches everywhere that make the home a proper ‘home’ rather than just a care facility. None of this is as important as the staff who are all wonderful. Not just the carers and nurses but the whole team – reception, cleaning, management, the activities coordinator. we are so impressed with everyone. Whilst going into a care home was not my grandad’s first choice, the White House has turned out to be the best choice. He is the most like his old self that we have seen in a long time post-stroke, and being part of this friendly and supportive community has no doubt helped that.
The ambience at White House is amazing and my mother is made to feel important! The staff are friendly and considerate treating my mother with kindness and dignity. They greet her by name and with a smile. My mother has been able to settle in gradually despite saying she never wanted to go into care! The facilities are modern and comfortable yet classy with the White House having been tastefully and practically decorated. The comprehensive activities schedule provides mental, physical and social stimulation for my mother. As family members, we also have been made to welcome by all the staff and our input/suggestions on our mother's care have been heard and followed through.
We moved our 91-year-old mother into the White House recently after she had a fall whilst staying at relations' in Bournemouth. After a hospital stay and respite, she did not get the chance to go home so it was a difficult situation. The home is immaculate and the staff are so patient and friendly. Everyone says 'hello' whenever they see us and our mother. They had a cake and reception for her birthday. We attended a relation's reception where the team discussed the plans for the year and were very open.
The staff appears to be well-trained and attentive to individual needs. Am impressed by the laundry service and dining area. The development of more connections with local entertainment, churches, and younger people might be explored.
We are very pleased with the care provided to our family member during their stay at The White House, the staff are caring, and compassionate and nothing is too much trouble to make the stay as comfortable as possible. The family is extremely grateful for their help at this difficult time.
I think this is the best care home in the area. And better than many I have visited.
I am pleasantly surprised at how good this home is. My father's health has improved way beyond anything I hoped for. All the staff are excellent.
I have been impressed at all times by the kindness and friendliness of every member of staff on the phone and in person. The building is well adapted as a home and is kept immaculate. The range of activities offered to residents is varied and excellent.
